DOTS may take one or more of the following steps to achieve resolution:</p><ol><li>A late fee of $30 will be assessed.</li><li>Vehicles with five outstanding citations that are more than 15 days old may be towed at the owner's expense. Vehicles will not be released until those outstanding fines and fees are satisfied.</li><li>The citation may be referred to the state MVA Flagging Program or state Central Collection Unit (CCU) for action, and all unresolved fines may be added to the university student account. You will need your citation number and vehicle license plate information to submit an online review. If you would like to be reviewed through Prince George's County Court, the physical ticket must be submitted to our office. </p><h5 id="video-review"><strong>REAL-TIME VIDEO REVIEW </strong></h5><p>DOTS real-time video reviews offer current UMD students an alternative to submitting a written request. Participating in a real-time video review gives students the opportunity to explain the details surrounding their parking experience while also allowing the DOTS Citation Review Unit (CRU) to ask follow-up questions for clarification.</p><p>Real-time reviews are conducted using Zoom. Second reviews are conducted by the University Appellate Board, a branch of the Office of Student Conduct. <strong>Your second review request must be received within seven business days from the date of the first review decision letter.</strong></p><p>The Appellate Board will only consider requests that include new and relevant information that was not provided with the original review.
