<t><p class="indent1">And you burst<MH1518> forth<MH1518> in your rivers<MH5104> <t><p class="indent1">And muddied<MH1804> the waters<MH4325> with your feet<MH7272> <t><p class="indent1">And <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>fouled<MH7511> their rivers<MH5104>.’” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the Lord<MH136> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>GOD<MH3068> says<MH559>: <p class="indent1stline">“Now I will spread<MH6566> My net<MH7568> over<MH5921> you <t><p class="indent1">With a contingent<MH6951> of many<MH7227a> peoples<MH5971a>, <t><p class="indent1">And they will lift<MH5927> you up<MH5927> in My net<MH2764b>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>“I will leave<MH5203> you on the land<MH776>; <t><p class="indent1">I will hurl<MH2904> you on the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>open<MH6440> field<MH7704>. <t><p class="indent1">And I will cause all<MH3605> the birds<MH5775> of the sky<MH8064> to <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>nest<MH7931> on you, <t><p class="indent1">And I will satisfy<MH7646> the animals<MH2421b> of the whole<MH3605> earth<MH776> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>with you. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>“I will lay<MH5414> your flesh<MH1320> on the mountains<MH2022> <t><p class="indent1">And fill<MH4390> the valleys<MH1516> with your refuse<MH7419>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>“I will also make<MH8248> the land<MH776> drink<MH8248> the discharge<MH6824> of your blood<MH1818> <t><p class="indent1">As<MH413> far<MH413> as<MH413> the mountains<MH2022>, <t><p class="indent1">And the ravines<MH650> will be full<MH4390> of you. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>“And when <i>I</i> extinguish<MH3518> you, <t><p class="indent1">I will cover<MH3680> the heavens<MH8064> and darken<MH6937> their stars<MH3556>; <t><p class="indent1">I will cover<MH3680> the sun<MH8121> with a cloud<MH6051> <t><p class="indent1">And the moon<MH3394> will not give<MH215> its light<MH216>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>“All<MH3605> the shining<MH3974> lights<MH216> in the heavens<MH8064> <t><p class="indent1">I will darken<MH6937> over<MH5921> you <t><p class="indent1">And will set<MH5414> darkness<MH2822> on your land<MH776>,” <t><p class="indent1">Declares<MH5002> the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068>. <A><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>“I will also trouble<MH3707> the hearts<MH3820> of many<MH7227a> peoples<MH5971a> when I bring<MH935> your destruction<MH7667> among the nations<MH1471>, into lands<MH776> which<MH834> you have not known<MH3045>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>And I will make<MH8074> many<MH7227a> peoples<MH5971a> appalled<MH8074> at you, and their kings<MH4428> will be horribly<MH8178a> afraid<MH8175c> of you when I brandish<MH5774a> My sword<MH2719> before<MH5921, 6440> them; and they will tremble<MH2729> again<MH7281> and again<MH7281>, every<MH376> person<MH376> for his own life<MH5315>, on the day<MH3117> of your fall<MH4658>.” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>For the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068> says<MH559> this<MH3541>: “The sword<MH2719> of the king<MH4428> of Babylon<MH894> will <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>attack<MH935> you. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>By the swords<MH2719> of the warriors<MH1368> I will make your multitude<MH1995> fall<MH5307>; all<MH3605> of them are tyrants<MH6184> of the nations<MH1471>, <t><p class="indent1">And they will devastate<MH7703> the pride<MH1347b> of Egypt<MH4714>, <t><p class="indent1">And all<MH3605> its multitude<MH1995> will be destroyed<MH8045>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>“I will also eliminate<MH6> all<MH3605> its cattle<MH929> from beside<MH5921> many<MH7227a> waters<MH4325>; <t><p class="indent1">And a human<MH120> foot<MH7272> will not muddy<MH1804> them anymore<MH5750>, <t><p class="indent1">And the hoofs<MH6541> of animals<MH929> will not muddy<MH1804> them. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>“Then<MH227> I will make their waters<MH4325> settle<MH8257>, <t><p class="indent1">And make their rivers<MH5104> run<MH1980> like oil<MH8081>,” <t><p class="indent1">Declares<MH5002> the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>“When I make<MH5414> the land<MH776> of Egypt<MH4714> a desolation<MH8077>, <t><p class="indent1">And the land<MH776> is destitute<MH8074> of that which<MH4393> filled<MH4393> it, <t><p class="indent1">When I strike<MH5221> all<MH3605> those who live<MH3427> in it, <t><p class="indent1">Then they shall know<MH3045> that I am the LORD<MH3068>. <A><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>This<MH1931> is a song<MH7015> of<MH7015> mourning<MH7015>, and they shall sing<MH6969> it. The daughters<MH1323> of the nations<MH1471> shall sing<MH6969> it. Over<MH5921> Egypt<MH4714> and over<MH5921> all<MH3605> her hordes<MH1995> they shall sing<MH6969> it,” declares<MH5002> the Lord<MH136> GOD<MH3068>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>In the twelfth<MH8147, 6240> year<MH8141>, on the fifteenth<MH2568, 6240> of the month<MH2320>, the word<MH1697> of the LORD<MH3068> came<MH1961> to me, saying<MH559>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>“Son<MH1121> of man<MH120>, lament<MH5091> for the hordes<MH1995> of Egypt<MH4714> and bring<MH3381> it down<MH3381>, her and the daughters<MH1323> of the mighty<MH117> nations<MH1471>, to the netherworld<MH8482, 776>, with those who go<MH3381> down<MH3381> to the pit<MH953a>; <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>‘Whom<MH4310> do you surpass<MH5276, 4480> in<MH5276> beauty<MH5276>? <t><p class="indent1">Go<MH3381> down<MH3381> and make<MH7901> your bed<MH7901> with the uncircumcised<MH6189>.’ <A><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>They shall fall<MH5307> in the midst<MH8432> of those who are killed<MH2491a> by the sword<MH2719>. <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>She is turned<MH5414> over<MH5414> to the sword<MH2719>; they have dragged<MH4900> her and all<MH3605> her hordes<MH1995> away<MH4900>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>The strong<MH410> among the mighty<MH1368> ones<MH1368> shall speak<MH1696> of him <i>and</i> his helpers<MH1368> from the midst<MH8432> of Sheol<MH7585>: ‘They have gone<MH3381> down<MH3381>, they lie<MH7901> still<MH7901>, the uncircumcised<MH6189>, killed<MH2491a> by the sword<MH2719>.’ <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>“Assyria<MH804b> is there<MH8033> and all<MH3605> her company<MH6951>; <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>her graves<MH6913> are all<MH5439> around<MH5439> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>her. All<MH3605> of them killed<MH2491a>, fallen<MH5307> by the sword<MH2719>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>whose<MH834> graves<MH6913> are set<MH5414> in the remotest<MH3411> parts<MH3411> of the pit<MH953a>, and her company<MH6951> is all<MH5439> around<MH5439> her grave<MH6900>. All<MH3605> of them killed<MH2491a>, fallen<MH5307> by the sword<MH2719>, who<MH834> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>spread<MH5414> terror<MH2851> in the land<MH776> of the living<MH2416a>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>“Elam<MH5867a> is there<MH8033> and all<MH3605> her hordes<MH1995> around<MH5439> her grave<MH6900>; all<MH3605> of them killed<MH2491a>, fallen<MH5307> by the sword<MH2719>, who<MH834> went<MH3381> down<MH3381> uncircumcised<MH6189> to the lower<MH8482> parts<MH8482> of the earth<MH776>, who<MH834> inflicted<MH5414> their terror<MH2851> on the land<MH776> of the living<MH2416a>, and bore<MH5375> their disgrace<MH3639> with those who go<MH3381> down<MH3381> to the pit<MH953a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>They have made<MH5414> a bed<MH4904> for her among<MH8432> the slain<MH2491a> with all<MH3605> her hordes<MH1995>. Her graves<MH6913> are around<MH5439> it, they are all<MH3605> uncircumcised<MH6189>, killed<MH2491a> by the sword<MH2719> (although<MH3588> their terror<MH2851> was <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>inflicted<MH5414> on the land<MH776> of the living<MH2416a>), and they bore<MH5375> their disgrace<MH3639> with those who go<MH3381> down<MH3381> to the pit<MH953a>; <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>they were put<MH5414> in the midst<MH8432> of the slain<MH2491a>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span>“Meshech<MH4902>, Tubal<MH8422>, and all<MH3605> their hordes<MH1995> are there<MH8033>; their graves<MH6913> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[n]</a></span>surround<MH5439> them. All<MH3605> of them were killed<MH2490a> by the sword<MH2719> uncircumcised<MH6189>, though<MH3588> they inflicted<MH5414> their terror<MH2851> on the land<MH776> of the living<MH2416a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span>Nor<MH3808> do they lie<MH7901> beside<MH854> the fallen<MH5307> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[o]</a></span>heroes<MH1368> of the uncircumcised<MH6189>, who<MH834> went<MH3381> down<MH3381> to Sheol<MH7585> with their weapons<MH3627> of war<MH4421> and whose swords<MH2719> were placed<MH5414> under<MH8478> their heads<MH7218>; but the punishment<MH5771> for<MH5771> their wrongdoing<MH5771> rested<MH1961> on their bones<MH6106>, though<MH3588> the terror<MH2851> of <i>these</i> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[p]</a></span>heroes<MH1368> <i>was once</i> in the land<MH776> of the living<MH2416a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span>But in the midst<MH8432> of the uncircumcised<MH6189> you will be broken<MH7665> and lie<MH7901> with those killed<MH2491a> by the sword<MH2719>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span>“There<MH8033> <i>also is</i> Edom<MH112b>, its kings<MH4428> and all<MH3605> its <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[q]</a></span>princes<MH5387a>, who<MH834> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[r]</a></span>despite <i>all</i> their might<MH1369> are laid<MH5414> with those killed<MH2491a> by the sword<MH2719>; they will lie<MH7901> with the uncircumcised<MH6189> and with those who go<MH3381> down<MH3381> to the pit<MH953a>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/32-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>“There<MH8033> <i>also are</i> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[s]</a></span>chiefs<MH5257b> of the north<MH6828>, all<MH3605> of them, and all<MH3605> the Sidonians<MH6722>, who<MH834> in <i>spite of</i> the terror<MH2851> <i>resulting</i> from their might<MH1369>, in<MH954> shame<MH954> went<MH3381> down<MH3381> with the slain<MH2491a>.
