Dan Patrick and then-Lt. Gov. <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20150418090020/http://www.texastribune.org/directory/david-dewhurst/">David Dewhurst</a>, legislation that would allow students to receive public money to attend private schools <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20150418090020/http://www.texastribune.org/2013/04/04/voucher-showdown-during-house-budget-debate/">died with barely a whimper</a>. Now, a skirmish over private school vouchers is brewing again, but it’s unclear whether 2015 will see a different outcome. A week before the session began, state. Sen. Donna Campbell, R-New Braunfels, announced that she would re-file legislation that would allows businesses to receive a tax credit if they contributed to a fund set up to pay for low-income students to attend private schools.</p><p>Other areas that may become the school choice battleground: a <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20150418090020/http://www.texastribune.org/2013/05/22/achievement-school-district-bill-struggles-house/">proposal known as an “Achievement School District</a>,” which
