We’re updating how we deliver the program to better serve you and support our case managers.</p> <h2>New rehabilitation services contractor</h2> <p>Beginning November 2022, current participants in our <a href="https://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/health-support/physical-health-and-wellness/rehabilitation-services/contract-award-2021">Rehabilitation Program</a> will begin transitioning to our new national contractor, Partners in Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation (PCVRS), who will coordinate all medical, psycho-social and vocational assistance services. There will be no interruption in your services during the transition<em>.</em></p> <p>PCVRS is a partnership between <a href="https://www.lifemark.ca/">Lifemark Health Group</a> and <a href="https://wcgservices.com/home">WCG International Consultants LTD</a>. Lifemark is a leading provider of healthcare assessments and rehabilitation services. WCG is a Canadian leader in employment and vocational services. The partnership brings international best practices and new rehabilitation techniques into the <a href="https://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/health-support/physical-health-and-wellness/rehabilitation-services/contract-award-2021">Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Assistance Program.</a> They will collaborate with our case managers and existing providers to deliver rehabilitation services to Veterans and their families.</p> <h2>Rehabilitation services for your unique needs</h2> <p>As a participant, you will work with a Rehabilitation Services Specialist, who can:</p> <ul> <li>connect you to rehabilitation professionals in your community and in your language of choice;</li> <li>work with your existing providers;</li> <li>coordinate your appointments;</li> <li>gather and share any documentation needed by your case manager; and more.</li> </ul> <p>Your case manager will remain responsible for your case management needs and approving your rehabilitation plan. They will work in a team with the Rehabilitation Services Specialist, Rehabilitation Services Professionals and your existing providers to ensure services are tailored to your individual needs.</p> <p>Your eligibility for the Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Assistance Program or any other VAC programs, services or benefits is not changing. Essentially, we’re updating how the program is delivered to better serve you and support our case managers.</p> <h2>Modern techniques and new technology</h2> <p>You will also receive more standardized rehabilitation services with a new Participant Portal available on our website. This will allow you to access your rehabilitation plan and service details whenever necessary.</p> <p>All Rehabilitation services will be offered in both official languages through 9,000 service providers across the country. PCVRS will be trained and familiar with the Rehabilitation Services and Vocational Assistance Program, military life, gender-based analysis, Indigenous and cultural sensitivity.
