font-size: 12px;"></figcaption> </figure> </div></div></div><p>Hong Kong residents have reported a significant increase in their monthly savings, with an average of HK$9,800 per person, according to a recent survey conducted by the Hong Kong Deposit Protection Board. </p><p>This marks a 10 percent increase from the previous year and is the highest average recorded since the survey began.</p><p>The survey, titled "Hongkongers' Sense of Security on Savings," was carried out from August to October and involved 1,000 Hong Kong residents aged 18 and older as respondents and targeted 323 pre-retirees for a more detailed analysis.</p><p>Results showed that about 40 percent of respondents saved HK$10,000 or more per month, a 6 percent increase from last year.
