Espaço multifuncional que agregava à defesa militar a simbologia do poder, estas estruturas tanto se ergueram nas planícies, junto a pontes, como no alto das colinas sobranceiras às cidades que defendiam e das quais protegiam as suas elites. As alcáçovas sempre tiveram dois objetivos inequívocos: abrigar o poder urbano através de uma fortificação e, simultaneamente, possibilitar um controlo visual e efetivo sobre uma determinada paisagem urbana e também sobre o território inserido na esfera de influência dessa cidade. Since October 7, however, with the breakout of the Israel-Gaza war, the overhaul was seemingly shelved. The Article discussed in this seminair seeks to connect both events, by comparing the legal-political response to the overhaul with the legal-political response to the war. Nous observons que le champ disciplinaire de l’« histoire des homosexualités » a fortement évolué ces vingt dernières années. Depuis les ouvrages <em>Gay New York</em> de Georges Chauncey (1994) et l’<em>Histoire de l’homosexualité en Europe</em> de Florence Tamagne (2000), l’histoire des homosexualités reposait sur la multiplication des sources (presse, littérature, journaux intimes, rapports de police, littérature médicale) pour dresser de larges portraits de la culture homosexuelle. Cette écriture de l’histoire semble marquer le pas puisqu’aujourd’hui les historien.ne.s préfèrent à la multiplication des sources le resserrement méthodologique sur un type d’archive : l’archive judiciaire. Replacés dans leur contexte, ils permettent de mettre au jour les reconfigurations permanentes des rapports de force au sein de multiples espaces sociaux, mais aussi l’intensité des mécanismes de concentration de l’attention et de dissémination de certaines prises de position (Quemener 2018), « où s’expriment de manière parfois virulente et spectaculaire les antagonismes qui travaillent le collectif » (Devars et Taieb 2023).
