If written records are not in English, you need to have them professionally translated into English before submitting them to our office. Unfortunately, we cannot accept records that have not been professionally translated.</p> <p>You may send us your child's medical records via email, fax or mail. You'll find our contact information listed below, under "Contact us."</p> <h3>Step 3: Medical records review</h3> <p>After we receive all relevant records, our medical team will review them to determine whether UCSF offers treatments that may benefit your child.</p> <h3>Step 4: Financial clearance</h3> <p>After your child is accepted for care at UCSF, we will give you an estimate of the charges. Before your child receives care, you must pay the amount in full or provide verification of authorization from an insurance plan accepted by UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals. Please be aware that U.S. medical care may cost $700 or more for an initial doctor visit and $100,000 or more for hospital care.</p> <h3>Step 5: Appointment scheduling</h3> <p>Once we receive your payment, we will confirm your child's appointment or hospital stay.
