Now he shall be brought<MH935> to the priest<MH3548>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>and the priest<MH3548> shall go<MH3318> out<MH3318> to <i>a place</i> outside<MH4480, 2351> of the camp<MH4264>. Then the priest<MH3548> shall look<MH7200>, and if<MH2009> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[a]</a></span>leprous<MH6883> infection<MH5061> has been healed<MH7495> in the person<MH6879> with<MH6879> leprosy<MH6879>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>then the priest<MH3548> shall give<MH6680> orders<MH6680> to take<MH3947> two<MH8147> live<MH2416a> clean<MH2889> birds<MH6833>, cedar<MH730> wood<MH6086>, a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>scarlet<MH8144> string<MH8439b>, and hyssop<MH231> for the one who is to be cleansed<MH2891>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> shall also give<MH6680> orders<MH6680> to slaughter<MH7819> the one<MH259> bird<MH6833> in an earthenware<MH2789> vessel<MH3627> over<MH5921> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>running<MH2416a> water<MH4325>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span><i>As for</i> the live<MH2416a> bird<MH6833>, he shall take<MH3947> it together with the cedar<MH730> wood<MH6086>, the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>scarlet<MH8144> string<MH8439b>, and the hyssop<MH231>, and shall dip<MH2881> them and the live<MH2416a> bird<MH6833> in the blood<MH1818> of the bird<MH6833> that was slaughtered<MH7819> over<MH5921> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>running<MH2416a> water<MH4325>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>He shall then sprinkle<MH5137a> seven<MH7651> times<MH6471> the one who is to be cleansed<MH2891> from the leprosy<MH6883> and shall pronounce<MH2891> him clean<MH2891>, and shall let the live<MH2416a> bird<MH6833> go<MH7971> free<MH7971> over<MH5921> the open<MH6440> field<MH7704>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>The one to be cleansed<MH2891> shall then wash<MH3526> his clothes<MH899b> and shave<MH1548> off<MH1548> all<MH3605> his hair<MH8181>, and bathe<MH7364> in water<MH4325> and be<MH2891> clean<MH2891>. And afterward<MH310> he may enter<MH935> the camp<MH4264>, but he shall stay<MH3427> outside<MH4480, 2351> his tent<MH168> for seven<MH7651> days<MH3117>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>Then it shall be on the seventh<MH7637> day<MH3117> that he shall shave<MH1548> off<MH1548> all<MH3605> his hair<MH8181>: he shall shave<MH1548> his head<MH7218> and his beard<MH2206> and his eyebrows<MH5869, 1354>, even all<MH3605> his hair<MH8181>. He shall then wash<MH3526> his clothes<MH899b> and bathe<MH7364> his <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>body<MH1320> in water<MH4325> and be<MH2891> clean<MH2891>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>&#8220;Now on the eighth<MH8066> day<MH3117> he is to take<MH3947> two<MH8147> male<MH3532> lambs<MH3532> without<MH8549> defect<MH8549>, and a yearling<MH8141> ewe<MH3535> lamb<MH3535> without<MH8549> defect<MH8549>, and three-tenths<MH7969, 6241> <i>of an</i> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span><i>ephah</i> of fine<MH5560> flour<MH5560> mixed<MH1101a> with oil<MH8081> as a grain offering<MH4503>, and one<MH259> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>log<MH3849> of oil<MH8081>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>and the priest<MH3548> who is going to pronounce<MH2891> <i>him</i> clean<MH2891> shall present<MH5975> the person<MH376> to be cleansed<MH2891> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>the offerings before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068> at the doorway<MH6607> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>Then the priest<MH3548> shall take<MH3947> the one<MH259> male<MH3532> lamb<MH3532> and bring<MH7126> it as a guilt<MH817> offering<MH817>, with the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>log<MH3849> of oil<MH8081>, and present<MH5130> them as a wave<MH8573> offering<MH8573> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>Next he shall slaughter<MH7819> the male<MH3532> lamb<MH3532> in the place<MH4725> where<MH834> they slaughter<MH7819> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b> and the burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a>, at the place<MH4725> of the sanctuary<MH6944>&#8212;for the guilt<MH817> offering<MH817>, like the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b>, belongs to the priest<MH3548>; it is most<MH6944> holy<MH6944>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> shall then take<MH3947> some<MH4480> of the blood<MH1818> of the guilt<MH817> offering<MH817>, and the priest<MH3548> shall put<MH5414> <i>it</i> on the lobe<MH8571> of the right<MH3233> ear<MH241> of the one to be cleansed<MH2891>, and on the thumb<MH931> of his right<MH3233> hand<MH3027>, and on the big<MH931> toe<MH931> of his right<MH3233> foot<MH7272>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> shall also take<MH3947> some<MH4480> of the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>log<MH3849> of oil<MH8081>, and pour<MH3332> <i>it</i> into his left<MH8042> palm<MH3709>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>the priest<MH3548> shall then dip<MH2881> his right-hand<MH3233> finger<MH676> into the oil<MH8081> that is in his left<MH8042> palm<MH3709>, and with his finger<MH676> sprinkle<MH5137a> some<MH4480> of the oil<MH8081> seven<MH7651> times<MH6471> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>Of the remaining<MH3499a> oil<MH8081> which<MH834> is in his palm<MH3709>, the priest<MH3548> shall put<MH5414> some on the right<MH3233> ear<MH241> lobe<MH8571> of the one to be cleansed<MH2891>, and on the thumb<MH931> of his right<MH3233> hand<MH3027>, and on the big<MH931> toe<MH931> of his right<MH3233> foot<MH7272>, on the blood<MH1818> of the guilt<MH817> offering<MH817>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>as for the rest<MH3498> of the oil<MH8081> that is in the priest&#8217;s<MH3548> palm<MH3709>, he shall put<MH5414> <i>it</i> on the head<MH7218> of the one to be cleansed<MH2891>. So the priest<MH3548> shall make<MH3722a> atonement<MH3722a> on<MH5921> his behalf<MH5921> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> shall next offer<MH6213a> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[n]</a></span>sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b> and make<MH3722a> atonement<MH3722a> for the one to be cleansed<MH2891> from his uncleanness<MH2932a>. Then afterward<MH310>, he shall slaughter<MH7819> the burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> shall offer<MH5927> up<MH5927> the burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a> and the grain offering<MH4503> on the altar<MH4196>. So the priest<MH3548> shall make<MH3722a> atonement<MH3722a> for him, and he will be<MH2891> clean<MH2891>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>&#8220;But if<MH518> he is poor<MH1800b> and his <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[o]</a></span>means<MH3027> are<MH369> insufficient<MH369, 5381>, then he is to take<MH3947> one<MH259> male<MH3532> lamb<MH3532> for a guilt<MH817> offering<MH817> as a wave<MH8573> offering<MH8573> to make<MH3722a> atonement<MH3722a> for him, and a tenth<MH6241> <i>of an</i> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[p]</a></span><i>ephah</i> of fine<MH5560> flour<MH5560> mixed<MH1101a> with oil<MH8081> as a grain offering<MH4503>, and a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[q]</a></span>log<MH3849> of oil<MH8081>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>and two<MH8147> turtledoves<MH8449> or<MH176> two<MH8147> young<MH1121> doves<MH3123>, which<MH834> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[r]</a></span>are<MH5381> within<MH5381> his means<MH3027>. The one<MH259> shall be a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[s]</a></span>sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b>, and the other<MH259> a burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>Then on the eighth<MH8066> day<MH3117> he shall bring<MH935> them for his cleansing<MH2893> to the priest<MH3548>, at the doorway<MH6607> of the tent<MH168> of meeting<MH4150>, before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> shall take<MH3947> the lamb<MH3532> of the guilt<MH817> offering<MH817> and the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[t]</a></span>log<MH3849> of oil<MH8081>, and the priest<MH3548> shall offer<MH5130> them as a wave<MH8573> offering<MH8573> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>Next he shall slaughter<MH7819> the lamb<MH3532> of the guilt<MH817> offering<MH817>; and the priest<MH3548> is to take<MH3947> some<MH4480> of the blood<MH1818> of the guilt<MH817> offering<MH817> and put<MH5414> <i>it</i> on the lobe<MH8571> of the right<MH3233> ear<MH241> of the one to be cleansed<MH2891>, and on the thumb<MH931> of his right<MH3233> hand<MH3027>, and on the big<MH931> toe<MH931> of his right<MH3233> foot<MH7272>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> shall also pour<MH3332> some<MH4480> of the oil<MH8081> into his left<MH8042> palm<MH3709>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span>and with his right-hand<MH3233> finger<MH676> the priest<MH3548> shall sprinkle<MH5137a> some<MH4480> of the oil<MH8081> that is in his left<MH8042> palm<MH3709> seven<MH7651> times<MH6471> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> shall then put<MH5414> some<MH4480> of the oil<MH8081> that is in his palm<MH3709> on the lobe<MH8571> of the right<MH3233> ear<MH241> of the one to be cleansed<MH2891>, and on the thumb<MH931> of his right<MH3233> hand<MH3027>, and on the big<MH931> toe<MH931> of his right<MH3233> foot<MH7272>, on the place<MH4725> of the blood<MH1818> of the guilt<MH817> offering<MH817>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span>Moreover, the rest<MH3498> of the oil<MH8081> that is in the priest&#8217;s<MH3548> palm<MH3709>, he shall put<MH5414> on the head<MH7218> of the one to be cleansed<MH2891>, to make<MH3722a> atonement<MH3722a> on<MH5921> his behalf<MH5921> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>He shall then offer<MH6213a> one<MH259> of the turtledoves<MH8449> or<MH176> young<MH1121> doves<MH3123>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[u]</a></span>which<MH834> are<MH5381> within<MH5381> his means<MH3027>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span><i>He shall offer</i> what<MH834> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[v]</a></span>he can afford<MH5381, 3027>, the one<MH259> as a <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[w]</a></span>sin<MH2403b> offering<MH2403b> and the other<MH259> as a burnt<MH5930a> offering<MH5930a>, together<MH5921> with the grain offering<MH4503>. So the priest<MH3548> shall make<MH3722a> atonement<MH3722a> before<MH6440> the LORD<MH3068> on<MH5921> behalf<MH5921> of<MH5921> the one to be cleansed<MH2891>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>This<MH2088> is the law<MH8451> <i>for him</i> in whom<MH834> there is an infection<MH5061> of leprosy<MH6883>, whose<MH834> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[x]</a></span>means<MH3027> are<MH5381> limited<MH3808, 5381> for his cleansing<MH2893>.&#8221; <p class="hdg">Cleansing a Leprous House</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span>The LORD<MH3068> further spoke<MH1696> to Moses<MH4872> and to Aaron<MH175>, saying<MH559>: <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span>&#8220;When<MH3588> you enter<MH935> the land<MH776> of Canaan<MH3667a>, which<MH834> I am giving<MH5414> you as a possession<MH272>, and I put<MH5414> a spot<MH5061> of leprosy<MH6883> on a house<MH1004> in the land<MH776> of your possession<MH272>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-35.htm"><b>35</b></a></span>then the one who<MH834> owns the house<MH1004> shall come<MH935> and tell<MH5046> the priest<MH3548>, saying<MH559>, &#8216;<i>Something</i> like a spot<MH5061> <i>of leprosy</i> has become<MH7200> visible<MH7200> to me in the house<MH1004>.&#8217; <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-36.htm"><b>36</b></a></span>The priest<MH3548> shall then command<MH6680> that they empty<MH6437> the house<MH1004> before<MH2962> the priest<MH3548> goes<MH935> in<MH935> to look<MH7200> at the spot<MH5061>, so that everything<MH3605> in the house<MH1004> need not become<MH2930> unclean<MH2930>; and afterward<MH310, 3651> the priest<MH3548> shall go<MH935> in<MH935> to look<MH7200> at the house<MH1004>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-37.htm"><b>37</b></a></span>So he shall look<MH7200> at the spot<MH5061>, and if<MH2009> the spot<MH5061> on the walls<MH7023> of the house<MH1004> has greenish<MH3422> or<MH176> reddish<MH125> depressions<MH8258> and appears<MH4758> deeper<MH8217> than<MH4480> the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[y]</a></span>surface<MH7023>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-38.htm"><b>38</b></a></span>the priest<MH3548> shall come<MH3318> out<MH3318> of the house<MH1004>, to the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[z]</a></span>doorway<MH6607>, and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[aa]</a></span>quarantine<MH5462> the house<MH1004> for seven<MH7651> days<MH3117>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-39.htm"><b>39</b></a></span>Then the priest<MH3548> shall return<MH7725> on the seventh<MH7637> day<MH3117> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ab]</a></span>make<MH7200> an<MH7200> inspection<MH7200>. If<MH2009> the spot<MH5061> has indeed<MH2009> spread<MH6581> on the walls<MH7023> of the house<MH1004>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-40.htm"><b>40</b></a></span>the priest<MH3548> shall order<MH6680> them to pull<MH2502a> out<MH2502a> the stones<MH68> with the spot<MH5061> on them and throw<MH7993> them away<MH7993> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ac]</a></span>at an unclean<MH2931> place<MH4725> outside<MH4480, 2351> the city<MH5892b>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-41.htm"><b>41</b></a></span>And he shall have the house<MH1004> scraped<MH7106a> all<MH5439> around<MH5439> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ad]</a></span>inside<MH4480, 1004>, and they shall dump<MH8210> the plaster<MH6083> that they scrape<MH7096> off<MH7096> at an unclean<MH2931> place<MH4725> outside<MH4480, 2351> the city<MH5892b>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-42.htm"><b>42</b></a></span>Then they shall take<MH3947> other<MH312> stones<MH68> and replace<MH8478, 935> the <i>discarded</i> stones<MH68>, and he shall take<MH3947> other<MH312> plaster<MH6083> and replaster<MH2902> the house<MH1004>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-43.htm"><b>43</b></a></span>&#8220;If<MH518>, however, the spot<MH5061> breaks<MH6524b> out<MH6524b> again<MH7725> in the house<MH1004> after<MH310> he has pulled<MH2502a> out<MH2502a> the stones<MH68> and scraped<MH7096> the house<MH1004>, and after<MH310> it has been replastered<MH2902>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/leviticus/14-44.htm"><b>44</b></a></span>then the priest<MH3548> shall come<MH935> in<MH935> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[ae]</a></span>make<MH7200> an<MH7200> inspection<MH7200>.
