The Area Database, the Subnational Human Development Index (SHDI), the SDG Dashboard, and the International Wealth Index are databases and indices created by GDL and can be accessed through the GDL website (<a href="https://globaldatalab.org">www.globaldatalab.org</a>). </p> <p>GDL contains development indicators at the national and sub-national level for low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and the SHDI on a global scale. The indicators were created by the GDL team and are made freely available to the global community to increase our knowledge and understanding of the situation and developments of societies across the globe.</p> <p>The indicators were created by aggregating data from household survey datasets. These datasets were made available for research of GDL-connected researchers. The indicators presented at the GDL website are outcomes of this research.</p> <p>An overview of these household survey datasets, the organizations behind them, and acknowledgements for their use can be found <a href="https://globaldatalab.org/areadata/sources/">here</a>.
