This means that our Pams High Grade Flour & Wholemeal Flour, as well as any products made with this type of flour, will now contain folic acid. This includes but is not limited to, Pams products like our bread rolls, wraps, and pitas. The folic acid content will range between 2mg/kg – 3mg/kg, depending on the product. Any products packed before August 14th may still be available for sale until the existing stock runs out. </p> <p>Please note that this requirement only applies to wheat flour. Therefore, our Pams Gluten Free flour and bread products, which contain gluten-free flour, will not be fortified with folic acid. </p> <p>We are committed to providing accurate labelling to support you as a Pams shopper. This can also sometimes appear as small white specks, globules, or clusters in the oil. However, don't worry; it's a natural occurrence and doesn't affect its safety or quality. It is also worth noting that palm oil is the highest yielding vegetable oil crop, which means it is very efficient, requiring significantly less land than other crops to produce the same amount of oil.</p> <p>Pams are a member of the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). RSPO are a not for profit organisation who ensure that certified palm oil is produced against a set of environmental and social criteria. We do however find that, once new products become popular, local producers often do make the capital investment and develop these capabilities - so we’re always reviewing our supply base and will always make the change to support local businesses when this becomes possible.</p> <p>Product imported from overseas must meet the requirements set by the Australia NZ Food Standard Authority and the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI).
