Insbesondere in den Städten führt das schon jetzt zu deutlich mehr Verkehr auf den Straßen. Gleichzeitig sind Straßenbahnen gerade in den Randzeiten nicht voll ausgelastet – und der ÖPNV ist und bleibt meist ein Zuschussgeschäft. Die Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (AVG), das Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) und das For-schungszentrum Informatik (FZI) haben gemeinsam ein neuartiges Logistikkonzept entwickelt, das den Gütertransport von den Straßen auf die Schienen verlagert. <br><br>Dabei wurden zwei sehr unterschiedliche Systeme zusammengebracht: der ÖPNV und die Logistik. Die AVG stellte den Forschenden hierfür ein älteres Stadtbahnfahrzeug zur Verfügung, das umgerüstet werden konnte. Ende Juni 2024 wurde die Gütertram dann bei einer Abschlussveranstaltung live demonstriert. Die Teilnehmenden konnten sich ein Bild davon machen, wie ein elektrisch unterstützter Fahrradanhänger autonom in den dafür vorgesehenen Bereich der Straßenbahn einfährt. An der entsprechenden Zielhaltestelle wurden die Pakete dann von einem Fahrradku-rier übernommen. Die Demonstration belegte, dass sich die Gütertram technisch reibungslos in das schienengebundene ÖPNV-Netz der AVG integrieren lässt. Damit sich diese Lösung je-doch auch im Alltag als nachhaltiges Transportsystem etablieren kann, müssen zentrale City-Hubs in der Stadt errichtet werden, von denen aus Lastenradtouren gebündelt werden kön-nen, sowie umliegende Verteilzentren der Logistikdienstleister effizient an das Tram-System angebunden werden. </p></div></section></div><div class="layout-v1__column layout-v1__column--50 layout-v1__column--shift-up" data-layout-column="1"><section class="content-v1"><div class="content-v1__content"><p><strong>Gütertram als Vorbild für andere Städte </strong></p><p>Mit der Gütertram hat das LogIKTram-Team ein innovatives und umweltfreundliches Trans-portsystem entwickelt, das neue Perspektiven für den städtischen Güterverkehr bietet: der städtische Verkehr kann reduziert und die Tram stärker ausgelastet werden. Dieses Logistik-konzept soll als Vorbild für andere Städte dienen und zeigen, wie der regionale Schienenver-kehr in die städtische Logistik integriert werden kann. <br><br></p><p><strong>Karlsruhe Mobility Lab auf der IT-TRANS</strong></p><p>Am Gemeinschaftsstand der TechnologieRegion Karlsruhe, dem Karlsruhe Mobility Lab, wurden auf der diesjährigen IT-TRANS bereits die ersten Projektergebnisse und das neue Logistikkonzept von LogIKTram vorgestellt. Das Karlsruhe Mobility Lab ist ein weltweit an-erkanntes Zentrum für die Weiterentwicklung des ÖPNV und der Entwicklung neuer Mobili-tätskonzepte und legt den Fokus auf eine intelligente, vernetzte, Die Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (AVG), das Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) und das For-schungszentrum Informatik (FZI) haben gemeinsam ein neuartiges Logistikkonzept entwickelt, das den Gütertransport von den Straßen auf die Schienen verlagert. \u003Cbr>\u003Cbr>Dabei wurden zwei sehr unterschiedliche Systeme zusammengebracht: der ÖPNV und die Logistik. Die AVG stellte den Forschenden hierfür ein älteres Stadtbahnfahrzeug zur Verfügung, das umgerüstet werden konnte. Ende Juni 2024 wurde die Gütertram dann bei einer Abschlussveranstaltung live demonstriert. Die Teilnehmenden konnten sich ein Bild davon machen, wie ein elektrisch unterstützter Fahrradanhänger autonom in den dafür vorgesehenen Bereich der Straßenbahn einfährt. An der entsprechenden Zielhaltestelle wurden die Pakete dann von einem Fahrradku-rier übernommen. Die Demonstration belegte, dass sich die Gütertram technisch reibungslos in das schienengebundene ÖPNV-Netz der AVG integrieren lässt.
