In the framework of her Ph.D. project, she conducted research at Eindhoven Technical University (the Netherlands) developing innovative carbon membranes with combined membrane separation and catalytic properties. In 2022, Elena transitioned to Elsevier as a Scientific Managing Editor, facilitating transfer offers and offering personalized guidance to authors of rejected manuscripts.
