After completing her PhD, she worked as a researcher for CIBER-Physiopathology of Obesity and Nutrition for a year. In 2009 she joined the Nutrition and Health Unit at Fundaci贸 Eurecat where she has worked in the design and realization of R&D&I projects for food companies in the functional food sector being focused mainly on the research of the effect and mechanism of action of food and dietary ingredients on health. Conducted over 120 days in adults with a BMI of 25-34.99, the study showed significant fat mass reduction, muscle preservation and improved body measurements in the persimmon group. In addition, participants experienced increased antioxidant capacity and improved mental health scores.
