this was the subsequent year after the withdrawal of the United States of America from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization; this paper analyzes how the speeches given of the G77 in the various bodies of UNIDO re-shaped the policies of the organization; it tries to answer whether after the withdrawal of the US the G77 used UNIDO in order to re-focus the organization and its work on developing countries; and if so it tries to extract in what ways the G77 and UNIDO coalesce. Methods used: discourse analysis; predicate analysis is useful in order to make language practice construction appear. Since this technique is particularly suitable for language practice in texts such as diplomatic texts or official statements, only speeches given by representatives on behalf of the G77 at Sessions of the UNIDO Programme and Budget Committee (PBC), the UNIDO Industrial Development Board (IDB) and UNIDO General Conferences will be used.</p><div class="ds-related-work--ctas"><button
