Every two years the Arbeitskreis Völkerstrafrecht (Permanent Working Group on International Criminal Law) awards this prize to a young scholar under the age of 36 (at the time of publication) for an outstanding monograph in the field of international criminal law that has a connection to the German-language legal sphere.</p> <p><strong>WINNER OF THE SWISS SPORTS LAW ASSOCIATION (ASDS) 2016 PRIZE</strong></p> <p><strong><a href="/asserpress/books/?rId=12836" target="_blank">Evidence in Anti-Doping at the Intersection of Science & Law</a> by Marjolaine Viret</strong></p> <p>In 2016 Marjolaine Viret won the Swiss Sports Law Association (ASDS) prize with Evidence in Anti-Doping at the Intersection of Science & Law. The prize is awarded every second year and rewards academic research in the field of sports law.</p> <p><strong>WINNER OF THE SIRACUSA PRIZE 2014</strong></p> <p><strong><a href="/asserpress/books/?rId=4436" target="_blank">Anticipative Criminal Investigation - Theory and Counterterrorism Practice in the Netherlands and the United States</a> by Marianne F.H. Hirsch Ballin</strong></p> <p>The Siracusa Prize, established in 2009 by The International Association of Penal Law (AIDP-IAPL) together with the International Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Sciences (ISISC), is granted every 5 years for a monograph authored by a member of the AIDP-IAPL under the age of 35, which constitutes an original contribution of great scientific value in penal law.</p> <p><strong>WINNER OF THE PRIZE OF THE LAW FACULTY OF HUMBOLDT-UNIVERSITAET FOR THE BEST DOCTORAL DISSERTATION IN THE FIELD OF CRIMINAL LAW IN 2014</strong></p> <p><strong><a href="/asserpress/books/?rId=12807" target="_blank">The Post-Election Violence in Kenya - Domestic and International Legal Responses</a> by Dr Sosteness Francis Materu</strong></p> <p><strong>WINNER OF THE LISBOAN RESEARCH AWARD 2012</strong></p> <p><strong><a href="/asserpress/books/?rId=4409" target="_blank">Freedom, Security and Justice after Lisbon and Stockholm</a> edited by Sarah Wolff, Flora Goudappel and Jaap de Zwaan</strong></p> <p>The award distinguishes an excellent piece of work of a researcher in the field of European integration, that contributed substantially to the state of the art of research on the Treaty of Lisbon and its implementation, and/or has influenced academic and political debates on the Treaty of Lisbon in Europe.</p> <p><strong>WINNER OF THE ASIL FRANCIS LIEBER PRIZE 2012</strong></p> <p><strong><a href="/asserpress/books/?rId=4411" target="_blank">Anticipatory Action in Self-Defence - Essence and Limits under International Law</a> by Kinga Tibori Szabó</strong></p> <p>The Francis Lieber Prize is awarded annually by the American Society of International Law’s Lieber Society on the Law of Armed Conflict to the authors of publications which the judges consider to be outstanding in the field of law and armed conflict.
