dt-published"> on November 22, 2024</span></p><div class="entry-content e-content clearfix"><p>Exterior work is moving along on 526 Baltic Street, an 11-story residential building in <a href="https://newyorkyimby.com/neighborhoods/gowanus">Gowanus</a>, Brooklyn. Designed by NY Building Associates for Baltic Height LLC, the 148-foot-tall structure will span 74,629 square feet and yield 96 rental units with an average scope of 663 square feet, as well as 10,955 square feet of commercial space, a cellar level, and a 37-foot-long rear yard. The property is located on an interior lot between Nevins Street and Third Avenue.</p><p>Recent photographs show the reinforced concrete superstructure built to its pinnacle and shrouded in scaffolding and construction netting. Crews are currently in the process of building out the exterior with metal studs and insulation boards, and many of the windows are already installed across the broad northern and southern elevations. A boom was seen delivering the final pours of concrete to the roof, which is still laden with wooden formwork and orange barriers. The building was constructed atop an existing one-story commercial building that will serve as the podium.</p><div id="attachment_1964721" class="wp-caption alignnone" style="width: 778px"><a
