Matt previously worked at the Boston Globe where he served as manager of advertising technology and also as sales development manager. He also has the experience of working at a start-up in the e-reader space. </p> <p>The Maine Trust for Local News Product and Audience team is responsible for the development, functionality, and user-experience for all of our digital products including our websites, replica editions, mobile sites, and additional digital products. In 2008, he was named New England’s master reporter for the year by the New England Press Association. He came to Maine later that year, reporting for the Morning Sentinel in Waterville; and he went on to serve as city editor of the Kennebec Journal in Augusta. From 2013 to 2024, he served as managing editor of the Sentinel and KJ, helping launch their new combined website, centralmaine.com, and their shared weekend paper, Central Maine Sunday. </p> <p>In 2024, Scott was named the Maine Trust for Local News’ first managing editor. He oversees all newsroom production, the digital team, and the community editors of Maine Trust’s weekly newspapers.
