Producer Owen Bradley noted that her style was similar to Patsy Cline; as such, Bradley cultivated her artistry to fill the void left by Cline's untimely death. Burgess enjoyed 15 chart hits, including two that reached Top 10 Country, before she retired from recording. <p> Wilma Burgess recorded 115 masters in roughly 38 sessions that took place between 1962 and 1981, which includes three Decca masters that remain unissued to date. As with other artist discographies found on this website, Burgess' masters are catalogued and cross-referenced with issues by date and format. Indexes of songs, composers and session personnel are available. Some radio transcription performances of Burgess have been issued on CD, and are therefore included in the Studio Sessions page of this discography, alongside her master recordings. <hr /> <p> Labels and formats are reported with issue titles, although catalogue prefixes are ignored.
