companies where I designed and developed new and differentiated products to enrich people鈥檚 lifestyle. I then realized that I wanted to use my many years of education and experience in industry towards a more meaningful purpose in life. Thus, I began to pursue a career at FDA/CTP to make tobacco related death and disease part of our past, not our future and serve for health and safety of all people living in the United States. In this capacity, I utilize my chemical knowledge and polymer science expertise to regulate tobacco products and their manufacture, and to ensure that marketed tobacco products are appropriate for the protection of public health.</p> <h3>What do you value most about working at FDA?</h3> <p>Learning opportunities are unmatched. FDA offers countless trainings to further enhance skills and knowledge of their employees. FDA also offers opportunities for collaboration and supports scientific research projects where one can transform ideas into tangible results for the benefits of public health while working with incredibly talented people who choose to make public service front and center. In addition, the FDA/CTP (Center for Tobacco Products) jobs offer competitive salaries and benefits while offering unique opportunities for work-life balance.</p> <h3>What are you most proud of in terms of your work at FDA?</h3> <p>I am proud of actively contributing to protect public health from harmful tobacco products through collaboration with experts in an interdisciplinary setting. My responsibilities include evaluating new product submissions from a chemistry perspective and writing regulatory application reviews as well as supporting the development of new policies. </p> <h3>What advice would you give to an FDA job seeker?</h3> <p>As the first step, I would advise to align your resume towards the FDA鈥檚 mission to protect public health. Also, the FDA/CTP website provides a free resume review service to anyone interested in positions at CTP. I benefited greatly from such valuable assistance.
