In the article, he states that robots need to take over our jobs because in the future there will be more complex tasks that humans will need. Humans are known to show compassion, unlike robots. In addition, Kelly mentioned "this is not a race against the machines. If we were against them, we lose. This is a race with the machines." (311) On one hand, I agree that we are in a race against them. On the other hand, we are racing against them and not with them. In our race against the machines, it is causing the loss of jobs, income, and shelter which can lead to poverty. Kelley promotes that "[humans should] let the robots take over", which will help individuals become better and happier than they have ever been (311). Although when I think about my future job in nursing I don't feel threatened or see a robot taking over my job. Androids are more precise than all humans because they are able to focus on a single task until it is completed as well as their hands are not shaky. According to the nursing world website, "Many healthcare providers have expressed concern about the lack of emotion in robots, suggesting that this is the element that will never replace human caregivers." On the other hand, I believe caregivers are not going to lose their jobs. A lot of people who go to the hospital are going to want a human to handle them because they have feelings and sympathy for patients as well as interacting with them to make them feel more at home. Androids would not give comfort and support like you can get from humans which is why robots are not going to take over the world of</p></span></div><div class="paper__gradient paper__gradient--bottom"></div><div class="center paper__cta"><a class="button text-m button--orange" id="ShowMoreButton" rel="nofollow" data-href="/writing/document/FJZQRPTBTWM">Get Access</a></div></div></div></div><div class="columns large-4 hide-for-medium-only hide-for-small-only"><div class="rhino-slot center" id="essay_ad_sidebar"></div><div class="rhino-slot center" id="essay_ad_sidebar_1"></div></div></div><div class="row essay-preview-block essay-related-block "><div class="columns large-12 padding-1 no-padding-large"><div class="columns large-12 paper--related-separator-new"><span class="paper--related-separator-word">Related</span></div><div class="rhino-slot center" id="essay_ad_related"></div><section class=""><ul id="RelatedDocumentCenter" class="unstyled"><li id="related-essay1"><div class="columns small-12 medium-12 large-12 card box-shadow card-grade-essay paper no-padding"><div class="columns small-12 medium-12 hide-for-large position-relative card-grade-essay-grade-col grade-decent-essays"><div><span>Decent Essays</span></div></div><div class="columns small-12 medium-12 position-relative hide-for-large card-grade-essay-words-col padding-left-1-imp"><a href="/essay/Kevin-Kellys-Better-Than-Human-FKUZK4U594F" class="hide-for-large"><h2 class="heading-s weight-700 brand-secondary">Kevin Kelly's Better Than Human</h2></a><ul><li>1063 Words</li><li>5 Pages</li></ul></div><div class="columns small-12 medium-12 large-8 position-relative"><div class="card-grade-essay-preview-col show-for-large"><a href="/essay/Kevin-Kellys-Better-Than-Human-FKUZK4U594F" class="show-for-large"><h2 class="heading-s weight-700 brand-secondary">Kevin Kelly's Better Than Human</h2></a></div><p class="text-m break-word word-break text-ellipsis-after text-ellipsis-after"> Robots can effect employment in a negative way,as said by the author Kelly “It may be hard to believe… 70 percent of today’s occupation will likewise be replaced by automation...even you will have your job taken away by machines”(Kelly Page.300), this quote comes to show the negative aspect of robots taking over the world in the near</p></div><div class="columns large-1-5 position-relative show-for-large card-grade-essay-words-col"><ul><li>1063 Words</li><li>5 Pages</li></ul></div><div class="columns large-2 show-for-large position-relative card-grade-essay-grade-col grade-decent-essays"><div><span>Decent Essays</span></div></div><div class="small-12 medium-12 large-1-5 position-relative card-grade-essay-button-col"><a class="button text-m " href="/essay/Kevin-Kellys-Better-Than-Human-FKUZK4U594F">Read More</a></div></div></li><li id="related-essay2"><div class="columns small-12 medium-12 large-12 card box-shadow card-grade-essay paper no-padding"><div class="columns small-12 medium-12 hide-for-large position-relative card-grade-essay-grade-col grade-decent-essays"><div><span>Decent Essays</span></div></div><div class="columns small-12 medium-12 position-relative hide-for-large card-grade-essay-words-col padding-left-1-imp"><a href="/essay/Advancement-Of-Technology-In-The-Robot-Invasion-F3NS7F46UAR" class="hide-for-large"><h2 class="heading-s weight-700 brand-secondary">Advancement Of Technology In The Robot Invasion By Charlie Gillis</h2></a><ul><li>1028 Words</li><li>5 Pages</li></ul></div><div class="columns small-12 medium-12 large-8 position-relative"><div class="card-grade-essay-preview-col show-for-large"><a href="/essay/Advancement-Of-Technology-In-The-Robot-Invasion-F3NS7F46UAR" class="show-for-large"><h2 class="heading-s weight-700 brand-secondary">Advancement Of Technology In The Robot Invasion By Charlie Gillis</h2></a></div><p class="text-m break-word word-break text-ellipsis-after text-ellipsis-after">Within the text of “The Robot Invasion”, by Charlie Gillis, Gillis discusses the advancement of technology and how it has impacted the lives of human-kind over the years. And I am rooting for the machines”. A lot has changed in our world since Shannon passed away in 2001, and the world of robotics has become more important than ever. In His article “Better than Human: Why Robots Will-and Must-Take Our Jobs”, Kevin Kelly discusses how robots and machines have been taking over our jobs and how this will only become more common in our everyday lives. He believes it is a good and necessary thing that AI take over our jobs, because it will improve our society and increase productivity.</p></div><div class="columns large-1-5 position-relative show-for-large card-grade-essay-words-col"><ul><li>779 Words</li><li>4 Pages</li></ul></div><div class="columns large-2 show-for-large position-relative card-grade-essay-grade-col grade-decent-essays"><div><span>Decent Essays</span></div></div><div class="small-12 medium-12 large-1-5 position-relative card-grade-essay-button-col"><a class="button text-m " href="/essay/Analysis-Of-Better-Than-Hum-Why-Robots-AFB34489187A1D31">Read More</a></div></div></li><li id="related-essay4"><div class="columns small-12 medium-12 large-12 card box-shadow card-grade-essay paper no-padding"><div class="columns small-12 medium-12 hide-for-large position-relative card-grade-essay-grade-col grade-decent-essays"><div><span>Decent Essays</span></div></div><div class="columns small-12 medium-12 position-relative hide-for-large card-grade-essay-words-col padding-left-1-imp"><a href="/essay/Rise-Of-The-Machines-Is-Not-A-PCT9DLAKU" class="hide-for-large"><h2 class="heading-s weight-700 brand-secondary">Rise Of The Machines Is Not A Likely Future By Michael Littman</h2></a><ul><li>717 Words</li><li>3 Pages</li></ul></div><div class="columns small-12 medium-12 large-8 position-relative"><div class="card-grade-essay-preview-col show-for-large"><a href="/essay/Rise-Of-The-Machines-Is-Not-A-PCT9DLAKU" class="show-for-large"><h2 class="heading-s weight-700 brand-secondary">Rise Of The Machines Is Not A Likely Future By Michael Littman</h2></a></div><p class="text-m break-word word-break text-ellipsis-after text-ellipsis-after">The article ‘Rise of the Machines’ is Not a Likely Future (2015), Michael Littman addresses the issue and worries that people have with regards to technology.
