its length<MH753> was <a href="#fn">[a]</a>a hundred<MH3967> cubits<MH520>, its width<MH7341> fifty<MH2572> cubits<MH520>, and its height<MH6967> thirty<MH7970> cubits<MH520>, on four<MH702> rows<MH2905> of cedar<MH730> pillars<MH5982> with cedar<MH730> beams<MH3773> on the pillars<MH5982>. <a href="/1_kings/7-3.htm">3</a>And it was paneled<MH5603> with cedar<MH730> above<MH4605, 5921> the side<MH6763> chambers<MH6763> which<MH834> were on the forty-five<MH705, 2568> pillars<MH5982>, fifteen<MH2568, 6240> in each row<MH2905>. <a href="/1_kings/7-4.htm">4</a>There were artistic window frames<MH8261> in three<MH7969> rows<MH2905>, and window<MH4237> was opposite<MH413> window<MH4237> at three<MH7969> <a href="#fn">[b]</a>intervals<MH6471>. <a href="/1_kings/7-5.htm">5</a>And all<MH3605> the doorways<MH6607> and doorposts<MH4201> had squared<MH7251> artistic frames<MH8260>, and window<MH4237> was opposite<MH4136, 413> window<MH4237> at three<MH7969> <a href="#fn">[c]</a>intervals<MH6471>. <a href="/1_kings/7-6.htm">6</a>Then he made<MH6213a> the hall<MH197> of pillars<MH5982>; He also made<MH6213a> a house<MH1004> like this<MH2088> hall<MH197> for Pharaoh’s<MH6547> daughter<MH1323>, whom<MH834> Solomon<MH8010> had married<MH3947>. <a href="/1_kings/7-9.htm">9</a>All<MH3605> of these<MH428> were made of valuable<MH3368> stones<MH68>, of stone<MH1496> cut<MH1496> according to measure<MH4060a>, sawed<MH1641> with saws<MH4050>, inside<MH4480, 1004> and outside<MH4480, 2351>; even from the foundation<MH4527> to the <a href="#fn">[e]</a>coping<MH2947>, and from the outside<MH2351> to the large<MH1419> courtyard<MH2691a>. <a href="/1_kings/7-10.htm">10</a>And the foundation<MH3245> was of valuable<MH3368> stones<MH68>, large<MH1419> stones<MH68>, stones<MH68> of <a href="#fn">[f]</a>ten<MH6235> cubits<MH520> and stones<MH68> of eight<MH8083> cubits<MH520>. <a href="/1_kings/7-11.htm">11</a>And above<MH4480, 4605> were valuable<MH3368> stones<MH68>, cut<MH1496> according to measure<MH4060a>, and cedar<MH730>. <a href="/1_kings/7-12.htm">12</a>So the large<MH1419> courtyard<MH2691a> all<MH5439> around<MH5439> had three<MH7969> rows<MH2905> of cut<MH1496> stone<MH1496> and a row<MH2905> of cedar<MH730> beams<MH3773> as well as the inner<MH6442> courtyard<MH2691a> of the house<MH1004> of the LORD<MH3068>, and the porch<MH197> of the house<MH1004>. Hiram’s Work in the Temple<a href="/1_kings/7-13.htm">13</a>Now King<MH4428> Solomon<MH8010> sent<MH7971> word and had Hiram<MH2438> brought<MH3947> from Tyre<MH6865>. <a href="/1_kings/7-14.htm">14</a>He was a widow’s<MH490> son<MH1121> from the tribe<MH4294> of Naphtali<MH5321>, and his father<MH1> was a man<MH376> of Tyre<MH6876>, an artisan<MH2790a> in bronze<MH5178>; and he was filled<MH4390> with wisdom<MH2451>, skill<MH8394>, and knowledge<MH1847> for doing<MH6213a> any<MH3605> work<MH4399> in bronze<MH5178>. So he came<MH935> to King<MH4428> Solomon<MH8010> and performed<MH6213a> all<MH3605> his work<MH4399>. <a href="/1_kings/7-15.htm">15</a>He fashioned<MH6696c> the two<MH8147> pillars<MH5982> of bronze<MH5178>; <a href="#fn">[g]</a>eighteen<MH8083, 6240> cubits<MH520> was the height<MH6967> of <a href="#fn">[h]</a>each<MH259> pillar<MH5982>, and a line<MH2339> of <a href="#fn">[i]</a>twelve<MH8147, 6240> cubits<MH520> <a href="#fn">[j]</a>measured<MH5437> the<MH5437> circumference<MH5437> of both<MH8147>. <a href="/1_kings/7-16.htm">16</a>He also made<MH6213a> two<MH8147> capitals<MH3805> of cast<MH4165> bronze<MH5178> to put<MH5414> on the tops<MH7218> of the pillars<MH5982>; the height<MH6967> of the one<MH259> capital<MH3805> was <a href="#fn">[k]</a>five<MH2568> cubits<MH520> and the height<MH6967> of the other<MH8145> capital<MH3805> was <a href="#fn">[l]</a>five<MH2568> cubits<MH520>. <a href="/1_kings/7-17.htm">17</a>There were lattices<MH7639> of latticework<MH4639, 7639> and wreaths<MH1434> of chainwork<MH4639, 8333> for the capitals<MH3805> which<MH834> were on the top<MH7218> of the pillars<MH5982>; seven<MH7651> for the one<MH259> capital<MH3805> and seven<MH7651> for the other<MH8145> capital<MH3805>. <a href="/1_kings/7-18.htm">18</a>So he made<MH6213a> the pillars<MH5982>, and two<MH8147> rows<MH2905> around<MH5439> on the one<MH259> lattice<MH7639> to cover<MH3680> the capitals<MH3805> which<MH834> were on the top<MH7218> of the pomegranates<MH7416>; and so<MH3651> he did<MH6213a> for the other<MH8145> capital<MH3805>. <a href="/1_kings/7-19.htm">19</a>The capitals<MH3805> which<MH834> were on the tops<MH7218> of the pillars<MH5982> in the porch<MH197> were of lily<MH7799> design<MH4639>, four<MH702> cubits<MH520>. <a href="/1_kings/7-20.htm">20</a>So there were capitals<MH3805> on the two<MH8147> pillars<MH5982>, also<MH1571> above<MH4480, 4605> and close<MH4480, 5980> to the <a href="#fn">[m]</a>rounded<MH990> projection<MH990> which<MH834> was beside<MH5676> the lattice<MH7639>; and the pomegranates<MH7416> totaled two hundred<MH3967> in rows<MH2905> around<MH5439> <a href="#fn">[n]</a>both<MH8145> capitals<MH3805>. <a href="/1_kings/7-21.htm">21</a>And he set<MH6965> up<MH6965> the pillars<MH5982> at the porch<MH197> of the <a href="#fn">[o]</a>main<MH1964> room<MH1964>: he set<MH6965> up<MH6965> the right<MH3233> pillar<MH5982> and named<MH7121, 8034> it <a href="#fn">[p]</a>Jachin<MH3199>, and he set<MH6965> up<MH6965> the left<MH8042> pillar<MH5982> and named<MH7121, 8034> it <a href="#fn">[q]</a>Boaz<MH1162>. <a href="/1_kings/7-22.htm">22</a>On the top<MH7218> of the pillars<MH5982> was the lily<MH7799> design<MH4639>. So the work<MH4399> of the pillars<MH5982> was finished<MH8552>. <a href="/1_kings/7-23.htm">23</a>He also he made<MH6213a> the <a href="#fn">[r]</a>Sea<MH3220> of cast<MH3332> metal <a href="#fn">[s]</a>ten<MH6235> cubits<MH520> from brim<MH8193> to brim<MH8193>, circular<MH5696, 5439> in shape, and its height<MH6967> was five<MH2568> cubits<MH520>, and <a href="#fn">[t]</a>it was <a href="#fn">[u]</a>thirty<MH7970> cubits<MH520> in circumference<MH6961a, 5437, 5439>. <a href="/1_kings/7-24.htm">24</a>Under<MH8478> its brim<MH8193> gourds<MH6497> went around<MH5439> encircling<MH5437> it ten<MH6235> to a cubit<MH520>, completely<MH5439> surrounding<MH5362b> the Sea<MH3220>; the gourds<MH6497> were in two<MH8147> rows<MH2905>, cast<MH3332> <a href="#fn">[v]</a>with the rest<MH3333>. <a href="/1_kings/7-25.htm">25</a>It was standing<MH5975> on twelve<MH8147, 6240> oxen<MH1241>, three<MH7969> facing<MH6437> north<MH6828>, three<MH7969> facing<MH6437> west<MH3220>, three<MH7969> facing<MH6437> south<MH5045>, and three<MH7969> facing<MH6437> east<MH4217>; and the Sea<MH3220> was set on top<MH4605> of them, and all<MH3605> their rear<MH268> parts<MH268> turned inward<MH1004>. <a href="/1_kings/7-26.htm">26</a>And it was a <a href="#fn">[w]</a>hand<MH2947> width<MH2947> thick<MH5672>, and its brim<MH8193> was made<MH4639> like the brim<MH8193> of a cup<MH3563a>, like a lily<MH7799> blossom<MH6525>; it could hold<MH3557> <a href="#fn">[x]</a>two thousand<MH505> baths<MH1324>. <a href="/1_kings/7-27.htm">27</a>Then he made<MH6213a> the ten<MH6235> stands<MH4350> of bronze<MH5178>; the length<MH753> of each<MH259> stand<MH4350> was <a href="#fn">[y]</a>four<MH702> cubits<MH520>, its width<MH7341> four<MH702> cubits<MH520>, and its height<MH6967> was three<MH7969> cubits<MH520>. <a href="/1_kings/7-28.htm">28</a>This<MH2088> was the design<MH4639> of the stands<MH4350>: they had borders<MH4526>, that is, borders<MH4526> between<MH996> the crossbars<MH7948>, <a href="/1_kings/7-29.htm">29</a>and on the borders<MH4526> which<MH834> were between<MH996> the crossbars<MH7948> were lions<MH738>, oxen<MH1241>, and cherubim<MH3742>; and on the crossbars<MH7948> there was a pedestal<MH3653b> above<MH4480, 4605>, and beneath<MH4480, 8478> the lions<MH738> and oxen<MH1241> were wreaths<MH3914> of hanging<MH4174> work<MH4639>. <a href="/1_kings/7-30.htm">30</a>Now each<MH259> stand<MH4350> had four<MH702> bronze<MH5178> wheels<MH212> with bronze<MH5178> axles<MH5633b>, and its four<MH702> feet<MH6471> had supports<MH3802>; beneath<MH4480, 8478> the basin<MH3595> were cast<MH3332> supports<MH3802> with wreaths<MH3914> at each<MH376> side<MH5676>. <a href="/1_kings/7-31.htm">31</a>And its opening<MH6310> inside<MH4480, 1004> the crown<MH3805> at the top<MH4605> was a <a href="#fn">[z]</a>cubit<MH520>, and its opening<MH6310> was round<MH5696> like the design<MH4639> of a pedestal<MH3653b>, a cubit<MH520> and a half<MH2677>; and on its opening<MH6310> also<MH1571> there were engravings<MH4734>, and their borders<MH4526> were square<MH7251>, not round<MH5696>. <a href="/1_kings/7-32.htm">32</a>The four<MH702> wheels<MH212> were underneath<MH8478> the borders<MH4526>, and the axles<MH3027> of the wheels<MH212> were on the stand<MH4350>. And the height<MH6967> of a wheel<MH212> was a cubit<MH520> and a half<MH2677>. <a href="/1_kings/7-33.htm">33</a>The workmanship<MH4639> of the wheels<MH212> was like the workmanship<MH4639> of a chariot<MH4818> wheel<MH212>. Their axles<MH3027>, their rims<MH1354>, their spokes<MH2839>, and their hubs<MH2840> were all<MH3605> cast<MH3332>. <a href="/1_kings/7-34.htm">34</a>Now there were four<MH702> supports<MH3802> at the four<MH702> corners<MH6438> of each<MH259> stand<MH4350>; its supports<MH3802> were part<MH4480> of the stand<MH4350> itself. <a href="/1_kings/7-35.htm">35</a>And on the top<MH7218> of the stand<MH4350> there was a circular<MH5696, 5439> form <a href="#fn">[aa]</a>half<MH2677> a cubit<MH520> high<MH6967>, and on the top<MH7218> of the stand<MH4350> its <a href="#fn">[ab]</a>stays<MH3027> and its borders<MH4526> were part<MH4480> of it. <a href="/1_kings/7-36.htm">36</a>And he engraved<MH6605b> on the plates<MH3871> of its stays<MH3027> and on its borders<MH4526> cherubim<MH3742>, lions<MH738>, and palm<MH8561> trees<MH8561>, as there was clear<MH4626> space<MH4626> on each<MH376>, with wreaths<MH3914> all around<MH5439>. <a href="/1_kings/7-37.htm">37</a>He made<MH6213a> the ten<MH6235> stands<MH4350> like this<MH2088>: all<MH3605> of them had the <a href="#fn">[ac]</a>same<MH259> casting<MH4165>, <a href="#fn">[ad]</a>same<MH259> measure<MH4060a>, and <a href="#fn">[ae]</a>same<MH259> form<MH7095>. <a href="/1_kings/7-38.htm">38</a>And he made<MH6213a> ten<MH6235> basins<MH3595> of bronze<MH5178>, <a href="#fn">[af]</a>each<MH259> holding<MH3557> <a href="#fn">[ag]</a>forty<MH705> baths<MH1324>; each<MH259> basin<MH3595> was <a href="#fn">[ah]</a>four<MH702> cubits<MH520>, and on each<MH259> of the ten<MH6235> stands<MH4350> was one<MH259> basin<MH3595>. <a href="/1_kings/7-39.htm">39</a>Then he placed<MH5414> the stands<MH4350>, five<MH2568> on the right<MH3225> side<MH3802> of the house<MH1004> and five<MH2568> on the left<MH8040> side<MH3802> of the house<MH1004>; and he set<MH5414> the <a href="#fn">[ai]</a>Sea<MH3220> of cast metal on the right<MH3233> side<MH3802> of the house<MH1004> eastward<MH6924b> toward<MH4480, 4136> the south<MH5045>. <a href="/1_kings/7-40.htm">40</a>Now Hiram<MH2438> made<MH6213a> the basins<MH3595> and the shovels<MH3257> and the bowls<MH4219>. So Hiram<MH2438> finished<MH3615> doing<MH6213a> all<MH3605> the work<MH4399> which<MH834> he performed<MH6213a> for King<MH4428> Solomon<MH8010> in the house<MH1004> of the LORD<MH3068>: <a href="/1_kings/7-41.htm">41</a>the two<MH8147> pillars<MH5982> and the two bowls<MH1543> of the capitals<MH3805> which<MH834> were on the top<MH7218> of the two<MH8147> pillars<MH5982>, and the two<MH8147> lattices<MH7639> to cover<MH3680> the two<MH8147> bowls<MH1543> of the capitals<MH3805> which<MH834> were on the top<MH7218> of the pillars<MH5982>; <a href="/1_kings/7-42.htm">42</a>and the four<MH702> hundred<MH3967> pomegranates<MH7416> for the two<MH8147> lattices<MH7639>, two<MH8147> rows<MH2905> of pomegranates<MH7416> for each<MH259> lattice<MH7639> to cover<MH3680> the two<MH8147> bowls<MH1543> of the capitals<MH3805> which<MH834> were on the tops<MH6440> of the pillars<MH5982>; <a href="/1_kings/7-43.htm">43</a>and the ten<MH6235> stands<MH4350> with the ten<MH6235> basins<MH3595> on the stands<MH4350>; <a href="/1_kings/7-44.htm">44</a>and the one<MH259> <a href="#fn">[aj]</a>Sea<MH3220> and the twelve<MH8147, 6240> oxen<MH1241> under<MH8478> the Sea<MH3220>; <a href="/1_kings/7-45.htm">45</a>and the buckets<MH5518a>, the shovels<MH3257>, and the bowls<MH4219>; indeed, all<MH3605> these<MH428> utensils<MH3627> which<MH834> Hiram<MH2438> made<MH6213a> for King<MH4428> Solomon<MH8010> in the house<MH1004> of the LORD<MH3068> were of polished<MH4803> bronze<MH5178>. <a href="/1_kings/7-46.htm">46</a>The king<MH4428> had them cast<MH3332> in the plain<MH3603> of the Jordan<MH3383>, in the clay<MH4568> ground<MH127> between<MH996> Succoth<MH5523> and Zarethan<MH6891>. <a href="/1_kings/7-47.htm">47</a>However, Solomon<MH8010> left<MH5117> all<MH3605> the utensils<MH3627> unweighed, because<MH4480> they were too<MH3966> many<MH7230>; the weight<MH4948> of the bronze<MH5178> could not be determined<MH2713>. <a href="/1_kings/7-48.htm">48</a>Solomon<MH8010> also made<MH6213a> all<MH3605> the furniture<MH3627> that was in the house<MH1004> of the LORD<MH3068>: the golden<MH2091> altar<MH4196> and the golden<MH2091> table<MH7979> on which<MH834> was set the bread<MH3899> of the Presence<MH6440>; <a href="/1_kings/7-49.htm">49</a>and the lampstands<MH4501> of pure<MH5458a> gold<MH2091>, five<MH2568> on the right<MH3225> side<MH3225> and five<MH2568> on the left<MH8040>, in front<MH6440> of the inner<MH1687> sanctuary<MH1687>; and the flowers<MH6525>, the lamps<MH5216>, and the tongs<MH4457>, of gold<MH2091>; <a href="/1_kings/7-50.htm">50</a>also the cups<MH5592a>, the <a href="#fn">[ak]</a>shears<MH4212>, the bowls<MH4219>, the ladles<MH3709>, and the firepans<MH4289>, of pure<MH5458a> gold<MH2091>; and the hinges<MH6596> both for the doors<MH1817> of the inner<MH6442> house<MH1004>, the Most<MH6944> Holy<MH6944> Place<MH6944>, and for the doors<MH1817> of the house<MH1004>, that is, for the main<MH1964> room<MH1964>, of gold<MH2091>. <a href="/1_kings/7-51.htm">51</a>So all<MH3605> the work<MH4399> that King<MH4428> Solomon<MH8010> performed<MH6213a> in the house<MH1004> of the LORD<MH3068> was finished<MH7999a>.
