about 280,000 light-years from our solar system, and joins a group of approximately 50 satellite galaxies in the Milky Way’s neighborhood. You could be forgiven for missing the news in between all the other Trump stories, but this one matters just as much. Trump’s new advisers are hardcore anti-net-neutrality lobbyists who have worked as lobbyists for telecoms companies in the past, and largely seem to be in favor of removing regulation from cable companies.</p> <p>While that might sound good in theory, the effect on the US internet market — which is mostly controlled by a handful of companies with regional monopolies — would be to let price-gouging run wild. The Note 7, a flagship device that was supposed to challenge the iPhone 7 <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20161122020847/http://bgr.com/2016/11/04/note-7-recall-samsung-software-update/">got pulled twice</a>, <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20161122020847/http://bgr.com/2016/09/08/note-7-explode-fire-recall-florida-samsung/">photos of burning Jeeps were all over the internet</a>, and oh, then some Samsung washing machines <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20161122020847/http://bgr.com/2016/11/04/samsung-washing-machine-recall/">started hurting people</a>.</p> <p>It’s a perfect storm (an inferno, even) of bad PR, but it seems that no-one really cares. An opinion poll conducted over the last few weeks shows no real damage to Samsung’s brand.
