it is for now</h2> <p>As a newly assembled team back in 2023, we were testing the waters. </p> <p>First of all, it has started as a diploma project. You can already see where it's going. Second of all, our great mistake was that we didn't set up the main topic and what we wanted to tell the audience, but we were pretty aware of our intentions to tell a story about two brothers, the young one specifically.</p> <p>In this version (we call it the D version, states for "Diploma") of our game, as I said, we were focusing on our little Riley's story. We tried to show him in various periods of his life, how traumatic events affected him, what <span>kind</span> of <span>person he became.</span><span></span></p> <p>But due to deadlines and some other circumstances we completely forgot about the people who shaped his personality. So that's why our Diploma-Pre-Alpha Version turned out like this – pretty short, pretty tense, the <span>lack</span> of characters' <span>backstory</span> can be <span>seen</span> for <span>sure</span><span>. </span>Still, some stuff was made and it turned out pretty okay-ish (not the way we wanted though). </p> <p>Let's talk about the main features for now! </p> <h3>Ver D.01 Features:</h3> <ul><li>Variety of game genres;</li><li>4 <span>levels</span> <span>in</span> <span>different</span> <span>styles (point-and-click, racing game, shooter, horror simulator – yeah, you heard it right);</span></li><li>Unique art assembly of 2D and 3D graphics;</li><li>Horror is in details;</li><li>Riley is the main focus of the story;</li><li>Game loop at the end (you can easily escape it though).</li></ul> <p>Some of them will be preserved for the next build! At least those that relate to graphics. No wonder, because people liked it :)</p> <p>In addition to the positive aspects of the game at the moment, there are also a lot of cons... Who would have thought...<br></p> <p>I wouldn't say it's that bad, but it could be better without doubt. More places to inspect, more characters to talk to, more objects to interact with, etc.<span></span></p> <p><strong><em>BUT! </em></strong>Thanks to our testers and players from bunch of showcases, we've been analysing these problems in order to improve the gameplay in the future!</p> <p><span>As</span> a <span>team</span><span>,</span> <span>we'</span>ve <span>decided</span> <span>not</span> to <span>publish</span> the <span>current</span> <span>version</span> <span>yet</span> <span>and</span> <span>keep</span> <span>it</span> <span>private</span> for now, cause <span>we</span> <span>want</span> to treat <span>you</span> with high-<span>quality</span> <span>content</span><span>!</span> </p> <p>Don't worry! The major events are set in the same place with the same characters, but with <em>a significantly different plot </em>from our previous team discussion. So prepare for something completely new and
