The &lsquo;unified&rsquo; means that the switched system can be arbitrarily composed of either stable or unstable subsystems. Firstly, mode-dependent average dwell time switching strategies are introduced, and the fast switching strategy is improved by a mode-dependent bounded maximum average dwell time. Then, the subsystems are reclassified into &lsquo;switching-stable&rsquo; and &lsquo;switching-unstable&rsquo; subsystems. The state divergence will be absorbed by the &lsquo;switching-stable&rsquo; subsystems. Moreover, by constructing a time-scheduled multiple Lyapunov function, the unified stability conditions are established. Finally, the effectiveness of the achieved results is validated by numerical examples.<br class="zbmathjax-paragraph">&copy; 2021 The Authors.
