Modern ECUs have many functions which need to be tested. This process requires tracking between the test and the specification. The technique discussed in this paper explores the system for automating this process. The paper focuses on the introduction to the problem in general, then it describes the proposed test system concept and its principle. It looks at how the process of the ECU interface specification file for automated interface testing and test tracking works. In the end, the future possible development of the project is discussed.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Electronic%20control%20unit%20testing" title="Electronic control unit testing">Electronic control unit testing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=embedded%20system" title=" embedded system"> embedded system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=test%20generate" title=" test generate"> test generate</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=test%20automation" title=" test automation"> test automation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=process%20automation" title=" process automation"> process automation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=CAN%20bus" title=" CAN bus"> CAN bus</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Ethernet." title=" Ethernet."> Ethernet.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013152/testing-of-electronic-control-unit-communication-interface" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013152/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013152/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013152/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013152/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013152/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013152/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013152/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013152/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013152/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013152/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10013152.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">272</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">27</span> Moisture Diffusivity of AAC with Different Densities</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Tom%C3%A1%C5%A1%20Koreck%C3%BD">Tomáš Korecký</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Kamil%20%C4%8Eurana"> Kamil Ďurana</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Miroslava%20Lapkov%C3%A1"> Miroslava Lapková</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Robert%20%C4%8Cern%C3%BD"> Robert Černý</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>Method of determining of moisture diffusivity on two types of autoclaved aerated concretes with different bulk density is represented in the paper. The governing equations obtained with the Boussinesq approximation are solved using Comsol Multiphysics finite element analysis and simulation software. The base fluid is water and CuO is used as nanoparticles. Solution is obtained for nanoparticle solid volume fraction of 8% and for Rayleigh number in the range of 105-107. The results show that nanoparticle usage in the cylindrical electronic control unit has a significant effect on the flow and heat transfer. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=CuO" title="CuO">CuO</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=enclosure" title=" enclosure"> enclosure</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=nanofluid" title=" nanofluid"> nanofluid</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=natural%20convection" title=" natural convection"> natural convection</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13223/natural-convection-of-water-based-cuo-nanofluids-in-a-cylindrical-enclosure" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13223/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13223/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13223/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13223/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13223/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13223/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13223/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13223/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13223/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13223/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13223.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">2033</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25</span> A Probabilistic View of the Spatial Pooler in Hierarchical Temporal Memory</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mackenzie%20Leake">Mackenzie Leake</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Liyu%20Xia"> Liyu Xia</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Kamil%20Rocki"> Kamil Rocki</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Wayne%20Imaino"> Wayne Imaino</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In the Hierarchical Temporal Memory (HTM) paradigm the effect of overlap between inputs on the activation of columns in the spatial pooler is studied. Numerical results suggest that similar inputs are represented by similar sets of columns and dissimilar inputs are represented by dissimilar sets of columns. The occupants in this network topology need to go through some source corridors, from which they can choose their suitable exiting corridors. The performance measures were calculated using arrival rates that maximize the throughputs of source corridors. In order to increase the throughput of the network, the result indicates that the flow direction of pedestrian through the corridors has to be restricted and the arrival rates to the source corridor need to be controlled. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Arrival%20rate" title="Arrival rate">Arrival rate</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Multiple%20arrival%20sources" title=" Multiple arrival sources"> Multiple arrival sources</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Probability%20of%0Ablocking" title=" Probability of blocking"> Probability of blocking</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=State%20dependent%20queuing%20networks" title=" State dependent queuing networks"> State dependent queuing networks</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Throughput." title=" Throughput."> Throughput.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8356/restricted-pedestrian-flow-performance-measures-during-egress-from-a-complex-facility" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8356/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8356/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8356/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8356/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8356/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8356/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8356/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8356/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8356/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8356/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8356.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1575</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">23</span> Mathematical Modeling of Surface Roughness in Surface Grinding Operation</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=M.A.%20Kamely">M.A. Kamely</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=S.M.%20Kamil"> S.M. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to check the validity of the model. Low and high value for work speed and feed rate are decided from design of experiment. The influences of all machining parameters on surface roughness have been analyzed based on the developed mathematical model. The developed prediction equation shows that both the feed rate and work speed are the most important factor that influences the surface roughness. The surface roughness was found to be the lowers with the used of low feed rate and low work speed. Accuracy of the best model was proved with the testing data. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mathematical%20Modeling" title="Mathematical Modeling">Mathematical Modeling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Response%20surfacemethodology" title=" Response surfacemethodology"> Response surfacemethodology</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Surface%20roughness" title=" Surface roughness"> Surface roughness</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Cylindrical%20Grinding." title=" Cylindrical Grinding."> Cylindrical Grinding.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/2707/mathematical-modeling-of-surface-roughness-in-surface-grinding-operation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/2707/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/2707/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/2707/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/2707/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/2707/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/2707/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/2707/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/2707/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/2707/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/2707/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/2707.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">3252</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">22</span> A New Approach to ECG Biometric Systems: A Comparitive Study between LPC and WPD Systems</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Justin%20Leo%20Cheang%20Loong">Justin Leo Cheang Loong</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Khazaimatol%20S%20Subari"> Khazaimatol S Subari</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Rosli%20Besar"> Rosli Besar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Muhammad%20Kamil%20Abdullah"> Muhammad Kamil Abdullah</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>In this paper, a novel method for a biometric system based on the ECG signal is proposed, using spectral coefficients computed through linear predictive coding (LPC). ECG biometric systems have traditionally incorporated characteristics of fiducial points of the ECG signal as the feature set. These systems have been shown to contain loopholes and thus a non-fiducial system allows for tighter security. In the proposed system, incorporating non-fiducial features from the LPC spectrum produced a segment and subject recognition rate of 99.52% and 100% respectively. The recognition rates outperformed the biometric system that is based on the wavelet packet decomposition (WPD) algorithm in terms of recognition rates and computation time. This allows for LPC to be used in a practical ECG biometric system that requires fast, stringent and accurate recognition.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=biometric" title="biometric">biometric</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=ecg" title=" ecg"> ecg</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=linear%20predictive%20coding" title=" linear predictive coding"> linear predictive coding</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=wavelet%20packet%20decomposition" title=" wavelet packet decomposition"> wavelet packet decomposition</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9556/a-new-approach-to-ecg-biometric-systems-a-comparitive-study-between-lpc-and-wpd-systems" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9556/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9556/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9556/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9556/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9556/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9556/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9556/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9556/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9556/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9556/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/9556.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">2900</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">21</span> A Software for Calculation of Optimum Conditions for Cotton Bobbin Drying in a Hot-Air Bobbin Dryer</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Hilmi%20Kuscu">Hilmi Kuscu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Ahmet%20Cihan"> Ahmet Cihan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Kamil%20Kahveci"> Kamil Kahveci</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Ugur%20Akyol"> Ugur Akyol</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this study, a software has been developed to predict the optimum conditions for drying of cotton based yarn bobbins in a hot air dryer. For this purpose, firstly, a suitable drying model has been specified using experimental drying behavior for different values of drying parameters. Drying parameters in the experiments were drying temperature, drying pressure, and volumetric flow rate of drying air. After obtaining a suitable drying model, additional curve fittings have been performed to obtain equations for drying time and energy consumption taking into account the effects of drying parameters. High-resolution numerical weather prediction (NWP) models with grid cell sizes between 2 and 14 km have great potential in contributing towards reasonably accurate QPF. In this study the potential of two NWP models to forecast precipitation for a flood-prone area in a tropical region is examined. The precipitation forecasts produced from the Fifth Generation Penn State/NCAR Mesoscale (MM5) and Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) models are statistically verified with the observed rain in Kelantan River Basin, Malaysia. The statistical verification indicates that the models have performed quite satisfactorily for low and moderate rainfall but not very satisfactory for heavy rainfall. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=MM5" title="MM5">MM5</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Numerical%20weather%20prediction%20%28NWP%29" title=" Numerical weather prediction (NWP)"> Numerical weather prediction (NWP)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=quantitative%20precipitation%20forecast%20%28QPF%29" title=" quantitative precipitation forecast (QPF)"> quantitative precipitation forecast (QPF)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=WRF" title=" WRF"> WRF</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7831/quantitative-precipitation-forecast-using-mm5-and-wrf-models-for-kelantan-river-basin" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7831/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7831/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7831/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7831/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7831/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7831/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7831/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7831/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7831/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7831/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/7831.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">2930</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">19</span> Authentication of Physical Objects with Dot-Based 2D Code</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Micha%C5%82%20Glet">Michał Glet</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Kamil%20Kaczy%C5%84ski"> Kamil Kaczyński</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>Counterfeit goods and documents are a global problem, which needs more and more sophisticated methods of resolving it. Objects are marked using orientation independent and resistant to camera noise 2D graphic codes, named DotAuth. Based on the identifier stored in 2D code, the system is able to perform basic authentication and allows to conduct more sophisticated analysis methods, e.g., relying on augmented reality and physical properties of the object. Depending on the number of additional conditions the problem is reduced to an algebraic equations system or to a problem of quadratic programming. With this purpose the paper offers a new scheme of the edge conditions transfer method called by conditions shift. The method permits to get rid from differential links and multipoint unshared initially-edge conditions. The advantage of the proposed approach is concluded by capabilities of reduction of a parametric identification problem to essential simple problems of the solution of an algebraic system or quadratic programming. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=dynamic%20objects" title="dynamic objects">dynamic objects</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=ordinary%20differential%20equations" title=" ordinary differential equations"> ordinary differential equations</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=multipoint%20unshared%20edge%20conditions" title="multipoint unshared edge conditions">multipoint unshared edge conditions</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=quadratic%20programming" title=" quadratic programming"> quadratic programming</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=conditions%20shift" title="conditions shift">conditions shift</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6135/on-problem-of-parameters-identification-of-dynamic-object" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6135/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6135/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6135/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6135/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6135/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6135/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6135/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6135/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6135/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6135/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/6135.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1457</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">16</span> Hybrid Approach for Memory Analysis in Windows System</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Khairul%20Akram%20Zainol%20Ariffin">Khairul Akram Zainol Ariffin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Ahmad%20Kamil%20Mahmood"> Ahmad Kamil Mahmood</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Jafreezal%20Jaafar"> Jafreezal Jaafar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Solahuddin%20Shamsuddin"> Solahuddin Shamsuddin</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Random Access Memory (RAM) is an important device in computer system. It can represent the snapshot on how the computer has been used by the user. With the growth of its importance, the computer memory has been an issue that has been discussed in digital forensics. A number of tools have been developed to retrieve the information from the memory. However, most of the tools have their limitation in the ability of retrieving the important information from the computer memory. Hence, this paper is aimed to discuss the limitation and the setback for two main techniques such as process signature search and process enumeration. Then, a new hybrid approach will be presented to minimize the setback in both individual techniques. This new approach combines both techniques with the purpose to retrieve the information from the process block and other objects in the computer memory. Nevertheless, the basic theory in address translation for x86 platforms will be demonstrated in this paper. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Algorithms" title="Algorithms">Algorithms</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Digital%20Forensics" title=" Digital Forensics"> Digital Forensics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Memory%20Analysis" title=" Memory Analysis"> Memory Analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Signature%20Search." title=" Signature Search."> Signature Search.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10632/hybrid-approach-for-memory-analysis-in-windows-system" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10632/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10632/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10632/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10632/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10632/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10632/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10632/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10632/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10632/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10632/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10632.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1988</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">15</span> Dynamics Simulation Approach in Analyzing Pension Expenditure</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Hasimah%20Sapiri">Hasimah Sapiri</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Anton%20Abdulbasah%20Kamil"> Anton Abdulbasah Kamil</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Razman%20Mat%20Tahar"> Razman Mat Tahar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Hanafi%20Tumin"> Hanafi Tumin</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Salary risk and demographic risk have been identified as main risks in analyzing pension expenditure particularly in Defined Benefit pension plan. Therefore, public pension plan in Malaysia is studied to analyze pension expenditure due to salary and demographic risk. Through the literature review and interview session with several officers in public sector, factors affecting pension expenditure are determined. Then, the inter-relationships between these factors are analyzed through causal loop diagram. The System Dynamics model is later developed using iThink software to show how demographic and salary changes affect the pension expenditure. Then, by using actual data, the impact of different policy scenarios on pension expenditure is analyzed. It is shown that dynamics simulation model of pension expenditure is useful to evaluate the impact of changes and policy decisions on risk particularly involving demographic and salary risk. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Demographic%20and%20Salary%20risk" title="Demographic and Salary risk">Demographic and Salary risk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Pension%20Expenditure" title=" Pension Expenditure"> Pension Expenditure</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Public%20Policy" title="Public Policy">Public Policy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=System%20Dynamics." title=" System Dynamics."> System Dynamics.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5417/dynamics-simulation-approach-in-analyzing-pension-expenditure" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5417/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5417/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5417/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5417/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5417/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5417/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5417/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5417/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5417/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5417/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/5417.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">2711</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">14</span> Analysis of the EEG Signal for a Practical Biometric System</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Muhammad%20Kamil%20Abdullah">Muhammad Kamil Abdullah</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Khazaimatol%20S%20Subari"> Khazaimatol S Subari</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Justin%20Leo%20Cheang%20Loong"> Justin Leo Cheang Loong</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Nurul%20Nadia%20Ahmad"> Nurul Nadia Ahmad</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper discusses the effectiveness of the EEG signal for human identification using four or less of channels of two different types of EEG recordings. Studies have shown that the EEG signal has biometric potential because signal varies from person to person and impossible to replicate and steal. Data were collected from 10 male subjects while resting with eyes open and eyes closed in 5 separate sessions conducted over a course of two weeks. Features were extracted using the wavelet packet decomposition and analyzed to obtain the feature vectors. Subsequently, the neural networks algorithm was used to classify the feature vectors. Results show that, whether or not the subjects- eyes were open are insignificant for a 4– channel biometrics system with a classification rate of 81%. However, for a 2–channel system, the P4 channel should not be included if data is acquired with the subjects- eyes open. It was observed that for 2– channel system using only the C3 and C4 channels, a classification rate of 71% was achieved. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Biometric" title="Biometric">Biometric</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=EEG" title=" EEG"> EEG</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Wavelet%20Packet%20Decomposition" title=" Wavelet Packet Decomposition"> Wavelet Packet Decomposition</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=NeuralNetworks" title=" NeuralNetworks"> NeuralNetworks</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/1768/analysis-of-the-eeg-signal-for-a-practical-biometric-system" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/1768/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/1768/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/1768/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/1768/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/1768/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/1768/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/1768/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/1768/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/1768/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/1768/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/1768.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">3027</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">13</span> Investigation of Drying Kinetics of Viscose Yarn Bobbins</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Ugur%20Akyol">Ugur Akyol</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Din%C3%A7er%20Akal"> Dinçer Akal</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Ahmet%20Cihan"> Ahmet Cihan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Kamil%20Kahveci"> Kamil Kahveci</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This study is concerned with the investigation of the suitability of several empirical and semi-empirical drying models available in the literature to define drying behavior of viscose yarn bobbins. For this purpose, firstly, experimental drying behaviour of viscose bobbins was determined on an experimental dryer setup which was designed and manufactured based on hot-air bobbin dryers used in textile industry. Afterwards, drying models considered were fitted to the experimentally obtained moisture ratios. Drying parameters were drying temperature and bobbin diameter. The fit was performed by selecting the values for constants in the models in such a way that these values make the sum of the squared differences between the experimental and the model results for moisture ratio minimum. Suitability of fitting was specified as comparing the correlation coefficient, standard error and mean square deviation. The results show that the most appropriate model in describing the drying curves of viscose bobbins is the Page model. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Drying" title="Drying">Drying</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=moisture%20ratio" title=" moisture ratio"> moisture ratio</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Page%20model" title=" Page model"> Page model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=viscose" title=" viscose"> viscose</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8570/investigation-of-drying-kinetics-of-viscose-yarn-bobbins" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8570/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8570/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8570/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8570/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8570/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8570/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8570/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8570/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8570/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8570/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8570.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1751</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">12</span> Formalizing a Procedure for Generating Uncertain Resource Availability Assumptions Based On Real Time Logistic Data Capturing with Auto-ID Systems for Reactive Scheduling</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Lars%20Lau%C3%9Fat">Lars Laußat</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Manfred%20Helmus"> Manfred Helmus</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Kamil%20Szczesny"> Kamil Szczesny</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Markus%20K%C3%B6nig"> Markus König</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>As one result of the project &ldquo;Reactive Construction Project Scheduling using Real Time Construction Logistic Data and Simulation&rdquo;, a procedure for using data about uncertain resource availability assumptions in reactive scheduling processes has been developed. In the proposed approach the phase state space (phase space) is beforehand somehow partitioned at observable points into given subsets (zones). The synthesizing control actions therewith are taken from the class of piecewise constant functions. The current values of control actions are determined by the subset of phase space that contains the aggregate of current states of object at the observable points (in these states control actions take constant values). In the paper such synthesized control actions are called zone control actions. A technique to obtain optimal values of zone control actions with the use of smooth optimization methods is given. With this aim, the formulas of objective functional gradient in the space of zone control actions are obtained. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Feedback%20control" title="Feedback control">Feedback control</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=distributed%20systems" title=" distributed systems"> distributed systems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=smooth%0D%0Aoptimization%20methods" title=" smooth optimization methods"> smooth optimization methods</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=lumped%20control%20synthesis." title=" lumped control synthesis."> lumped control synthesis.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008337/the-feedback-control-for-distributed-systems" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008337/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008337/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008337/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008337/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008337/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008337/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008337/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008337/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008337/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008337/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10008337.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">611</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">10</span> Error Analysis of Nonconventional Electrical Moisture-meter under Simplified Conditions</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Kamil%20%C4%8Eurana">Kamil Ďurana</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Robert%20%C4%8Cern%C3%BD"> Robert Černý</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> An electrical apparatus for measuring moisture content was developed by our laboratory and uses dependence of electrical properties on water content in studied material. Error analysis of the apparatus was run by measuring different volumes of water in a simplified specimen, i.e. hollow plexiglass block, in order to avoid as many side-effects as possible. Obtained data were processed using both basic and advanced statistics and results were compared with each other. The influence of water content on accuracy of measured data was studied as well as the influence of variation of apparatus' proper arrangement or factual methodics of its usage. The overall coefficient of variation was 4%. There was no trend found in results of error dependence on water content. Comparison with current surveys led to a conclusion, that the studied apparatus can be used for indirect measurement of water content in porous materials, with expectable error and under known conditions. Factual experiments with porous materials are not involved, but are currently under investigation. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=device" title="device">device</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=capacitance%20method" title=" capacitance method"> capacitance method</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=error%20analysis" title=" error analysis"> error analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=moisture%0D%0Ameter" title=" moisture meter"> moisture meter</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13747/error-analysis-of-nonconventional-electrical-moisture-meter-under-simplified-conditions" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13747/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13747/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13747/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13747/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13747/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13747/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13747/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13747/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13747/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13747/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13747.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1389</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">9</span> Arterial Stiffness Detection Depending on Neural Network Classification of the Multi- Input Parameters</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Firas%20Salih">Firas Salih</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Luban%20Hameed"> Luban Hameed</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Afaf%20Kamil"> Afaf Kamil</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Armin%20Bolz"> Armin Bolz</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Diagnostic and detection of the arterial stiffness is very important; which gives indication of the associated increased risk of cardiovascular diseases. It is concluded that neural network can detect the arterial STIFFNESS depending on risk factor parameters. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Arterial%20stiffness" title="Arterial stiffness">Arterial stiffness</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=area%20under%20the%20catacrotic%20phase%20of%20the%20photoplethysmograph%20pulse" title=" area under the catacrotic phase of the photoplethysmograph pulse"> area under the catacrotic phase of the photoplethysmograph pulse</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=neural%20network" title=" neural network"> neural network</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13058/arterial-stiffness-detection-depending-on-neural-network-classification-of-the-multi-input-parameters" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13058/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13058/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13058/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13058/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13058/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13058/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13058/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13058/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13058/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13058/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/13058.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1652</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">8</span> Comparison of MFCC and Cepstral Coefficients as a Feature Set for PCG Biometric Systems</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Justin%20Leo%20Cheang%20Loong">Justin Leo Cheang Loong</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Khazaimatol%20S%20Subari"> Khazaimatol S Subari</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Muhammad%20Kamil%20Abdullah"> Muhammad Kamil Abdullah</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Nurul%20Nadia%20Ahmad"> Nurul Nadia Ahmad</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=RosliBesar"> RosliBesar</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Heart sound is an acoustic signal and many techniques used nowadays for human recognition tasks borrow speech recognition techniques. One popular choice for feature extraction of accoustic signals is the Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) which maps the signal onto a non-linear Mel-Scale that mimics the human hearing. However the Mel-Scale is almost linear in the frequency region of heart sounds and thus should produce similar results with the standard cepstral coefficients (CC). In this paper, MFCC is investigated to see if it produces superior results for PCG based human identification system compared to CC. Results show that the MFCC system is still superior to CC despite linear filter-banks in the lower frequency range, giving up to 95% correct recognition rate for MFCC and 90% for CC. Further experiments show that the high recognition rate is due to the implementation of filter-banks and not from Mel-Scaling. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Biometric" title="Biometric">Biometric</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Phonocardiogram" title=" Phonocardiogram"> Phonocardiogram</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Cepstral%20Coefficients" title=" Cepstral Coefficients"> Cepstral Coefficients</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mel%20Frequency" title="Mel Frequency">Mel Frequency</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8872/comparison-of-mfcc-and-cepstral-coefficients-as-a-feature-set-for-pcg-biometric-systems" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8872/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8872/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8872/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8872/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8872/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8872/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8872/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8872/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8872/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8872/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/8872.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">3552</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">7</span> Principles of Sustainable and Affordable Housing Policy for Afghan Refugees Returning to Afghanistan</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohammad%20Saraj%20Sharifzai">Mohammad Saraj Sharifzai</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Keisuke%20Kitagawa"> Keisuke Kitagawa</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Mohammad%20Kamil%20Halimee"> Mohammad Kamil Halimee</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Javid%20Habib"> Javid Habib</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Daishi%20Sakaguchi"> Daishi Sakaguchi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The overall goal of this paper is to examine the suitability and potential of the policies addressing the sustainability and affordability of housing for returnees, and to determine the impact of this policy on housing delivery for Afghan refugees. Housing is a central component of the settlement experience of refugees. A positive housing situation can facilitate many aspects of integration. Unaffordable, and unsafe housing, however, can cause disruptions in the entire settlement process. This paper aims to identify a suite of built forms for housing that is both affordable and environmentally sustainable for Afghan refugees. The result was the development of a framework that enables the assessment of the overall performance of various types of housing development in all zones of the country. There is very little evidence that the present approach of housing provision to the vagaries of market forces has provided affordable housing, especially for Afghan refugees. There is a need to incorporate social housing into the policy to assist people who cannot afford to have their own houses. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Afghan%20refugees" title="Afghan refugees">Afghan refugees</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=housing%20policy" title=" housing policy"> housing policy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=affordability" title=" affordability"> affordability</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=social%0D%0Ahousing" title=" social housing"> social housing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=housing%20provision" title=" housing provision"> housing provision</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=environmental%20sustainability%20principles" title=" environmental sustainability principles"> environmental sustainability principles</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=resettlement." title=" resettlement."> resettlement.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003275/principles-of-sustainable-and-affordable-housing-policy-for-afghan-refugees-returning-to-afghanistan" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003275/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003275/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003275/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003275/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003275/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003275/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003275/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003275/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003275/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003275/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10003275.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">2247</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">6</span> Word Base Line Detection in Handwritten Text Recognition Systems</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Kamil%20R.%20Aida-zade">Kamil R. This method is based on suppressing various types of real environmental noise by using independent component analysis (ICA) algorithm. The enhanced speech signal is applied to mel frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) or MFCC feature warping to extract the essential characteristics of the speech signal. Channel effects are reduced using an intermediate vector (i-vector) and probabilistic linear discriminant analysis (PLDA) approach for classification. The proposed algorithm is evaluated by using an Australian forensic voice comparison database, combined with car, street and home noises from QUT-NOISE at a signal to noise ratio (SNR) ranging from -10 dB to 10 dB. Experimental results indicate that the MFCC feature warping-ICA achieves a reduction in equal error rate about (48.22%, 44.66%, and 50.07%) over using MFCC feature warping when the test speech signals are corrupted with random sessions of street, car, and home noises at -10 dB SNR. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Noisy%20forensic%20speaker%20verification" title="Noisy forensic speaker verification">Noisy forensic speaker verification</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=ICA%20algorithm" title=" ICA algorithm"> ICA algorithm</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=MFCC" title=" MFCC"> MFCC</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=MFCC%20feature%20warping." title=" MFCC feature warping."> MFCC feature warping.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10006970/forensic-speaker-verification-in-noisy-environmental-by-enhancing-the-speech-signal-using-ica-approach" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10006970/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10006970/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10006970/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10006970/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10006970/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10006970/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10006970/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10006970/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10006970/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10006970/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10006970.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">990</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">4</span> Embedded Hardware and Software Design of Omnidirectional Autonomous Robotic Platform Suitable for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Testing with Focus on Modularity and Safety</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Ond%C5%99ej%20Lufinka">Ondřej Lufinka</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Jan%20Kade%C5%99%C3%A1bek"> Jan Kadeřábek</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Juraj%20Prstek"> Juraj Prstek</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Ji%C5%99%C3%AD%20Sk%C3%A1la"> Jiří Skála</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Kamil%20Kosturik"> Kamil Kosturik</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>This paper deals with the problem of using Autonomous Robotic Platforms (ARP) for the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) testing in automotive. However, this mixture has some problems similar to any bituminous mixtures as it has low early strength, long curing time that needed to obtain the maximum performance, high air voids and considered inferior to HMA. Thus, CBEM has been used in limited applications such as lightly trafficked roads, footways and reinstatements. This laboratory study describes the development of CBEM using ordinary Portland cement (OPC) instead of the traditional mineral filler. Stiffness modulus, moisture damage and temperature sensitivity tests were used to evaluate the mechanical properties of the produced mixtures. The study concluded that there is a substantial improvement in the mechanical properties and moisture damage resistance of CBEMs containing OPC. Also, the produced cement modified CBEM shows a considerable lower thermal sensitivity than the conventional CBEM.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Cold%20bitumen%20emulsion%20mixture" title="Cold bitumen emulsion mixture">Cold bitumen emulsion mixture</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=moisture%20damage" title=" moisture damage"> moisture damage</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=OPC" title=" OPC"> OPC</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=stiffness%20modulus" title=" stiffness modulus"> stiffness modulus</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=temperature%20sensitivity." title=" temperature sensitivity."> temperature sensitivity.</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009286/mechanical-properties-of-ordinary-portland-cement-modified-cold-bitumen-emulsion-mixture" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009286/apa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">APA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009286/bibtex" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">BibTeX</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009286/chicago" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Chicago</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009286/endnote" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">EndNote</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009286/harvard" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Harvard</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009286/json" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">JSON</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009286/mla" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">MLA</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009286/ris" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">RIS</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009286/xml" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">XML</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009286/iso690" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">ISO 690</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/10009286.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">1110</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card publication-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">2</span> A Mathematical Model Approach Regarding the Children’s Height Development with Fractional Calculus </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Nisa%20%C3%96zge%20%C3%96nal">Nisa Özge Önal</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Kamil%20Kara%C3%A7uha"> Kamil Karaçuha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=G%C3%B6ksu%20Hazar%20Erdin%C3%A7"> Göksu Hazar Erdinç</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Banu%20Bahar%20Kara%C3%A7uha"> Banu Bahar Karaçuha</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Ertu%C4%9Frul%20Kara%C3%A7uha"> Ertuğrul Karaçuha</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> <p>The study aims to use a mathematical approach with the fractional calculus which is developed to have the ability to continuously analyze the factors related to the children&rsquo;s height development. Until now, tracking the development of the child is getting more important and meaningful. Knowing and determining the factors related to the physical development of the child any desired time would provide better, reliable and accurate results for childcare. In this frame, 7 groups for height percentile curve (3th, 10th, 25th, 50th, 75th, 90th, and 97th) of Turkey are used. By using discrete height data of 0-18 years old children and the least squares method, a continuous curve is developed valid for any time interval. By doing so, in any desired instant, it is possible to find the percentage and location of the child in Percentage Chart. Here, with the help of the fractional calculus theory, a mathematical model is developed. The outcomes of the proposed approach are quite promising compared to the linear and the polynomial method. The approach also yields to predict the expected values of children in the sense of height.</p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Children%20growth%20percentile" title="Children growth percentile">Children growth percentile</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=children%20physical%20development" title=" children physical development"> children physical development</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=fractional%20calculus" title=" fractional calculus"> fractional calculus</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=linear%20and%20polynomial%20model." title=" linear and polynomial model. In this paper, a common rail injection system (CRIS) is proposed for 4-strokes 4-cylinders hydrogen fueled engine with port injection feeding system (PIH2ICE). For this system, a numerical one-dimensional gas dynamic model is developed considering single injection event for each injector per a cycle. One-dimensional flow equations in conservation form are used to simulate wave propagation phenomenon throughout the CR (accumulator). Using this model, the effect of common rail on the injection system characteristics is clarified. These characteristics include: rail pressure, sound velocity, rail mass flow rate, injected mass flow rate and pressure drop across injectors. The interaction effects of operational conditions (engine speed and rail pressure) and geometrical features (injector hole diameter) are illustrated; and the required compromised solutions are highlighted. The CRIS is shown to be a promising enhancement for PIH2ICE. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/search?q=Common%20rail" title="Common
