Donations will benefit the Capital Area Food Bank, a charity that provides non-perishable items to hundreds of soup kitchens, food pantries, and other service organizations throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Food banks and food pantries provide meals to millions of families every year, with the heaviest demand during the summer. Over the past five years, federal employees have donated more than 24 million pounds of goods during the “Feds Feed Families” food drive.
