We used it to build a one-of-a-kind database, and show you how to do the same.</p> <p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEbcfiquCMk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Watch a recording of this training</a>.</p> <h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="past-networks">Past Reporting Network Projects</h2> <p>When Reveal senior reporter and producer Will Evans discovered a method for reporting on <a href="https://revealnews.org/welcome-to-reveals-behind-the-smiles-reporting-network/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">secret Amazon injury numbers</a>, more than a dozen newsrooms joined us in covering the high injury rates at their local warehouses.</p> <p>In 2018, Reveal partnered with ProPublica and Newsy to explore how dozens of law enforcement agencies were making it appear as though they solved a significant share of their rape cases when <a href="https://revealnews.org/topic/case-cleared/">they simply closed them</a>. We shared our data from 70,000 rape cases, and five newsrooms used it to launch significant investigations into their local police departments. </p> <p>And after our <a href="https://revealnews.org/topic/all-work-no-pay/">All Work, No Pay</a> investigation exposed work camps masquerading as rehabs, tips came pouring in from programs across the country.
