The Permian has produced 29 billion barrels of oil and contains estimated recoverable reserves exceeding what has been produced over the last 90 years.</div> <p><div class="ezcol ezcol-one-third"><strong>Eagle Ford Shale, South Texas<br/> </strong>The Eagle Ford Shale ranks as one of the largest oil and gas development fields in the world based on capital investment. Driven by horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing, the Eagle Ford shattered production records in March 2013, producing an astounding 77% more crude oil over a 12-month period.</p> </div> <div class="ezcol ezcol-one-third ezcol-last"><strong>Woodbine, East Texas<br/> </strong>The Woodbine Formation is the primary oil producing zone in the East Texas Oil Field, the second largest oil field in the United States outside of Alaska.
