It is frequently used to describe the vastness of God's creation, the multitude of His blessings, and the fulfillment of His promises to His people. 1. God's Promise to Abraham: One of the most significant uses of "numerous" in the Bible is found in God's covenant with Abraham. God promised Abraham that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. This promise is foundational to the Abrahamic covenant and is reiterated several times throughout Scripture. In <a href="/bsb/deuteronomy/28.htm">Deuteronomy 28</a>, the blessings for obedience are described in abundance. <a href="/deuteronomy/28-11.htm">Deuteronomy 28:11</a> says, "The LORD will make you prosper abundantly—in the fruit of your womb, the offspring of your livestock, and the produce of your land—in the land that the LORD swore to your fathers to give you." This passage highlights the numerous ways in which God can bless His people when they follow His commandments. 4. The Multitude of Nations: The concept of numerous nations is also present in the Bible.
