study on water of Izmir Bay (Homa Lagoon). 12 monthly research expeditions were carried out at two stations of Homa Lagoon located in İzmir Bay (Aegean Sea) during 1998-1999. Among environmental parameters temperature, salinity, resolved oxygen, pH, nitrate, nitrite, ammonium, phosphate and silicate concentrations were measured. Nutrient enrichment bioassays were performed on a monthly basis under temperature conditions identical to that of the sea water samples. The growth response of the phytoplankton community was estimated through in vivo chlorophyll a measurements and expressed as phytoplankton growth rate. The phytoplanktonic species composition of Homa Lagoon was observed to be rich in diatoms however with an occasional quantitative predominance of dinophycea and ciliata members. No toxic species were encountered and the results were discussed with the environmental parameters. The cell abundances were quite low for the lagoon water containing suspense clay minerals. Further determination of microzooplankton grazing was pointed out to reveal both the significance of primer production and the extent and the importance of the production transferred to the food chain despite the low concentrations of continuous stocks. Among environmental parameters temperature, salinity, resolved oxygen, pH, nitrate, nitrite, ammonium, phosphate and silicate concentrations were measured. Nutrient enrichment bioassays were performed on a monthly basis under temperature conditions identical to that of the sea water samples. The growth response of the phytoplankton community was estimated through in vivo chlorophyll a measurements and expressed as phytoplankton growth rate. The phytoplanktonic species composition of Homa Lagoon was observed to be rich in diatoms however with an occasional quantitative predominance of dinophycea and ciliata members. No toxic species were encountered and the results were discussed with the environmental parameters. The cell abundances were quite low for the lagoon water containing suspense clay minerals. Further determination of microzooplankton grazing was pointed out to reveal both the significance of primer production and the extent and the importance of the production transferred to the food chain despite the low concentrations of continuous stocks. Bu calismada Balikesir’in Edremit, Havran, Burhaniye ilcelerine bagli 21 koy gezilmis ve ari yetistiriciligi yapan 80 kisi ile gorusulmustur. Ari yetistiricilerinin kovanlarini biraktiklari yerlerde arilarin bal yapmak icin en fazla kondugu bitkiler hem ari yetistiricilerine sorulmus hem de arazide flora calismasi yapilarak tespit edilmistir. Sonuc olarak arilarin en fazla kondugu 34 bitki taksonu belirlenerek bal arilarinin en fazla ziyaret ettigi bitkilerin Asteraceae, Boraginaceae, Fabaceae, Lamiaceae ve Cistaceae familyalarina bagli taksonlar oldugu gorulmustur. Jeolojik ve iklimsel sebeplerle kıyıların doğal bağlamları sürekli evrim geçirmektedir. İnsan eliyle oluşmuş etkenler de denizcilik mirasının özgün doğal, fiziksel, sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik bağlamlarını değiştirmiştir. Gelişen teknolojilerle denizcilik mirası ve deniz fenerlerine olan ihtiyaç azalmıştır. Bu durum yıkımlarının da önünü açmıştır. Üç tarafı denizlerle çevrili Türkiye antik dönemden bugüne zengin bir denizcilik kültür mirasını oluşturmuştur. Mirasa dahil olan ögeler somut ve soyut değerlere sahiptir. Ancak özgün bağlamların değişmesi bu değerler için bir tehdit kaynağıdır. 1920lerden itibaren denizcilik kültür mirasının korunması ve yönetimi için uluslararası çevrelerde yasal ve teknik düzenlemeler başlamış, 1980lerde de akademik çalışmalar yoğunlaşmıştır. Türkiye’de yasal düzenlemeler ise, mimari koruma ve kıyı alanlarının yönetimi olarak iki farklı koldan gelişmiştir. 1960lardan itibaren kıyı kullanımlarında turizm ve inşaat sektörünün gelişimine ağırlık verilmiştir. Ancak mimari koruma ve planlama yasaları bütünleşik hale gelememiştir. Bu durum denizcilik kültür mirasını planlama, karar alma ve yönetim sürecinden dışlamıştır. Mirası belgeleyen tamamlanmış bir envanter yoktur. Kıyılarda artan yapılaşmanın miras üzerindeki etkileri saptanmamıştır. Başka bir deyişle denizcilik mirasının korunması ve yönetimi Türkiye’de göreceli olarak yenidir ve halen tartışmaya açıktır. Akdeniz’de önemli bir noktada bulunması ve deniz seyrine uygunluğu nedeniyle Türkiye kıyıları antik dönemden itibaren pek çok deniz fenerine sahip olmuştur. Roma ve Osmanlı İmparatorluğu ile Türkiye Cumhuriyeti dönemlerinde inşa edilen bu fenerlerin bugünkü sayısı 442dir. Fenerlerden 22 tanesi tescillenerek korumaya alınmıştır. Diğerleri için kapsamlı bir değerlendirme bulunmamaktadır. Buna karşın 2006 yılından bu yana deniz fenerleri kiralanarak farklı işlevler yüklenmekte ve ciddi müdahaleler görmektedir. Bu çalışma, Türkiye denizcilik kültür mirası ve özellikle deniz fenerlerinin anlam ve değerlerini tartışmaktadır. Koruma ve yönetim politikalarına dair prensipler geliştirmek araştırmanın temel amacıdır. Bildiride sırasıyla; denizcilik kültür mirasının tanımı ile gelişimi, mirasın ve deniz fenerlerinin korunması ile yönetimi için yapılan uluslararası ve ulusal çalışmalar, Türkiye denizcilik kültür mirasının belgelenmesi için araştırma kapsamında hazırlanan envanter irdelenmektedir. Deniz fenerlerinin mimari, bölgesel, sosyal ve kültürel özellikleri ile değerlerinin belirlenmesi, güncel bağlam ve uygulamalardan kaynaklanan sorunların saptanması bir sonraki bölümde ele alınmaktadır. Akdeniz ve Ege kıyıları deniz fenerleri ile fenercileri üzerine yürütülen çalışmalar bu bölümün temelini oluşturmaktadır. Makale İzmir kent kimliği ve kültürünün önemli bir parçası olan Kemeraltı özelinde mimarlık, sanat, zanaat, moda, tekstil gibi tasarım alanların somut ve soyut değerlerini odağına alan bir tasarım kültürü haritalama pratiğini konu alır. Çalışma, konuya ilişkin güncel yazına katkıda bulunmanın yanı sıra, Kemeraltı'na odaklanan bu haritalama pratiğini, kültür turizminin ve kentsel turizmin önemli araçlarından kent kültürünün haritalanması çerçevesinden irdelemeyi amaçlanmaktadır. Yorumlayıcı (interpretive) bir araştırma yöntemiyle ele alınan çalışmanın kapsamı, turizm ve mimarlık alanlarındaki kültürel miras, koruma, sürdürülebilirlik tartışmalarından farklılaşarak, yeni kentsel-kültürel turizm faaliyetleri ve tasarım kültürünün haritalanması konularıyla sınırlandırılmıştır. Bu kültürel haritalamanın Türkiye'de benzer kapsam ve nitelikteki alternatif haritalama pratiklerinin oluşturulması ve irdelenmesi için zemin oluşturacağı düşünülmektedir. Mapping the Culture of Izmir Kemeraltı Abstract Kemeraltı is one of the most important places of witnessing with multicolored urban culture that has been felt from past to present in every point of İzmir city. The article dwells on a cultural mapping practice that focuses on the tangible and intangible values of design areas such as architecture, art, craft, fashion and textile in the context of Kemeraltı, which is an important part of İzmir city identity and culture. In addition to a contribution to the current literature on this subject, it aims to scrutinize this mapping from within the framework of cultural mapping as an important tool of cultural tourism and urban tourism. Differing from the debates on cultural heritage, conservation, or sustainability in the realms of tourism and architecture, the scope of the discussion is limited to new urban cultural tourism practices and mapping of design culture, while it is elaborated through an interpretive research method.
