It is responsible for the successful long-term management of the Group and therefore makes the strategic decisions and decides the structure of the business. In order to perform its role as efficiently as possible, the Board of Directors appoints four<roche-text-link href="/about/governance/committees" text="board committees" target="_self" left-icon="" right-icon=""></roche-text-link>, each of which has a specific remit.</p></roche-richtext><roche-image src="{"src":"https://assets.roche.com/f/176343/4349x2265/12069541bc/2025_roche_governance_en.jpg/m/$0x$1/filters:format(webp):quality(90)/","caption":"","copyright":"","alt":""}" ratio="original" position="center" brightcove-id="" uid="35dd8d3f-c5bb-4bc7-b974-5f96ee0b2921" id="35dd8d3f-c5bb-4bc7-b974-5f96ee0b2921"></roche-image><roche-richtext uid="b891f12a-4217-4ef8-a830-b9bd81c3b821" dir="ltr"><p>The Board of Directors assigns responsibility for the operational management of the company – i.e. all specific short to medium-term measures – to the<roche-text-link href="/about/governance/executive-committee" text="Corporate Executive Committee" target="_self" left-icon="" right-icon=""></roche-text-link>. Consequently, the Corporate Executive Committee is also appointed and monitored by the Board of Directors.</p><p>As a body, the Corporate Executive Committee deals solely with operational matters that affect all divisions and functions – i.e. the company as a whole.
