Eat this scroll and go speak with those of the household of the children of Israel” <A name="3"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-2.htm#aramaic"><b>2</b></a></span>And I opened my mouth and he fed me that scroll <A name="4"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-3.htm#aramaic"><b>3</b></a></span>And he said to me: “Son of man, fill your belly and your bowels from this scroll that I gave to you.” And I ate it, and it was in my mouth like sweet honey<p> <A name="5"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-4.htm#aramaic"><b>4</b></a></span>And he said to me: “Son of man, go enter the captivity of the children of Israel and tell them my words <A name="6"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-5.htm#aramaic"><b>5</b></a></span>Because it was not to a people of difficult speaking and stammering tongue I sent you, but to those of the household of Israel <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-6.htm#aramaic"><b>6</b></a></span>Neither to many nations whose speech you have not heard, and if I had sent you to them, they would have listened to you <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>But those of the house of Israel did not listen to you, because they are unwilling to listen to me, because all the household of Israel has hardened their forehead and hardens their heart <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>Behold, I have hardened your face against their faces, and your forehead I have set firm against their forehead <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>Like a diamond that is harder than flint I have made your forehead. You shall not be afraid of them, and you shall not be moved from before them, because they are a rebellious house <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>And he said to me: “Son of man, all my words that I spoke to you accept in your heart and hear with your ears <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>And go enter the captivity to the children of your people and speak with them and say to them: ‘Thus says THE LORD OF LORDS.’ Perhaps they shall hear and they shall be moved<p> <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>And The Spirit picked me up, and I heard behind me a sound of a great earthquake that said, ‘Blessed is the glory of LORD JEHOVAH from his place!’ <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>And the sound of the wings of the beasts flapping one against another and the sound of the wheels with them and the sound of a great earthquake <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>And The Spirit picked me up and he brought me, and I went in the eagerness of my spirit, and the hand of LORD JEHOVAH was strong upon me <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>And I entered the captivity at Telakiv that dwelt on the River Kebar, and I dwelt there seven days, as I was speechless among them<p> <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>And after seven days, the word of LORD JEHOVAH was upon me saying <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>“Son of man, I have given you as a watchman to those of the house of Israel, that you will hear from my mouth the word and you will warn them from me <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>When I say to the sinner: "You shall surely die”, and you have not warned him and you have not spoken to the sinner that he would be warned of his way, and that sinner would live in his evil, he shall die, and his blood I shall require of your hand! <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-19.htm#aramaic"><b>19</b></a></span>But if you warn a sinner and he will not turn from his sin and from his evil way, he shall die in his sin and you shall save your soul <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ezekiel/3-20.htm#aramaic"><b>20</b></a></span>And when the righteous will turn from his righteousness and he will do evil, I shall put a stumbling block in front of him and he shall die.
