lanciati da Hezbollah, l'organizzazione paramilitare islamista sostenuta dall'Iran che opera nel sud del Libano, hanno colpito ieri la base dei Caschi blu dell'Onu al confine con Israele e ferito quattro soldati italiani. È certamente una cosa grave, «da indignarsi» ha commentato <a data-autogenerated="yes" data-ga4-click-event-target="internal" href="/persone/giorgia-meloni-134874.html">Giorgia Meloni</a>. Ma diciamo le cose come stanno: se si mandano soldati, sia pure come forza di interposizione, su un fronte caldo e attivo, va messo in conto che qualcuno si possa fare del male. Da quelle parti c'è in corso una guerra, e in guerra neppure gli uomini della Croce Rossa, e neppure i civili come tragicamente noto, possono dirsi al sicuro, figuriamoci dei militari. Che si sia trattato di un errore o di un atto deliberato in violazione dei trattati internazionali che tutelano la neutralità dei Caschi blu, a quei ragazzi va tutta la nostra solidarietà</p><p>e il nostro affetto. Ma sono pur sempre soldati, cioè uomini che hanno scelto un mestiere che prevede la possibilità di essere coinvolti in combattimenti. Dal governo ci si aspetta una reazione ferma e decisioni ponderate, spero - al momento non ce ne è traccia -, nessun piagnisteo. Se si vuole stare nel club delle democrazie che si caricano sulle spalle l'onere di mantenere per quanto possibile sotto controllo i conflitti che scoppiano nel mondo, occorre essere pronti ad affrontare anche le conseguenze più sgradevoli, altrimenti meglio stare a casa. Pensare che la ricerca della pace non abbia alcun prezzo è solo una bella utopia, come pensare che, nel campo del civile, garantire la sicurezza ai cittadini possa essere a rischio zero per gli uomini delle forze dell'ordine chiamate a garantirla. E deve riflettere sulla sua utilità.
