We are comprised of a small but dedicated community working to provide a reliable internet source to empower the world with knowledge. </p><p>As part of The Third Turn, we pledge to pride ourselves on our contributions and work to build the most comprehensive source of free NASCAR information available. </p> <h2><span class="mw-headline" id="NAME"><b>NAME</b></span></h2> <p>It will be known as Wiki NASCAR </p> <h2><span class="mw-headline" id="MEMBERSHIP"><b>MEMBERSHIP</b></span></h2> <p>Contributors who work with The Third Turn will be in the following categories: </p><p><b>ANONYMOUS USERS</b> </p><p>Anonymous Users (aka IP users) are users who wish to contribute to the project without a user name, and will hence be identified by their IP address. They will enjoy most benefits on the Wiki, but are not allowed to edit protected pages nor will they be eligible for administrative duties. </p><p><b>REGISTERED USERS</b> </p><p>Registered Users are users who wish to contribute to the project under a registered user name. They will be able to enjoy the same benefits of anonymous users, along with being able to move pages and keeping a watchlist among others. They will also be allowed to edit *SOME* protected pages. They are also eligible for administrator ship. </p><p><b>ADMINISTRATORS</b> </p><p>Administrators (aka Admins, Moderators, Sysops, etc.) are a group of trusted registered users who will oversee the general foresight and direction of The Third Turn. Their duties include, but are not limited to: Deletion of pages, protection of pages, drafting of policies, user behavioral discipline, maintaining of main page, etc. </p><p><b>HEAD ADMINISTRATOR</b> </p><p>The head administrator is the administrator who oversees the rest of the administrators on Wiki NASCAR. Their job includes regular administrator duties, as well as coaching and evaluating regular administrators, reviewing disciplinary methods taken by administrators, establishing rules and policies, and ensuring that the more detailed methods of The Third Turn are being followed. This job will often be combined with the <b>Assistant Director</b> position, which helps the <b>Principal Director</b> in his/her duties. </p><p><i>Head Admin:</i> <a href="/wiki/User:DaNASCAT" title="User:DaNASCAT">daNASCAT</a> </p><p><b>PRINCIPAL DIRECTOR</b> </p><p>The principal director is in charge of the entire The Third Turn. Their job includes regular administrator duties, as well reviewing disciplinary methods, approving all new methods and policies, reviewing content, answering legal and copyright concerns, and serving as a liaison to the rest of the Wikimedia community. In some instances, the principal director will meet with the head administrator regarding discipline, details regarding the Wiki, and how to improve. </p><p><i>Prinicpal Director:</i> <a href="/wiki/User:D-Day" title="User:D-Day">D-Day</a> </p> <h2><span class="mw-headline" id="POLICIES"><b>POLICIES</b></span></h2> <p>Below, please find the policies for The Third Turn. They are integral to the smooth running of this project and it is asked that all members follow them. No exceptions. </p> <h3><span class="mw-headline" id="NOTABILITY"><b>NOTABILITY</b></span></h3> <p>All drivers who have made at least one (1) start in: </p> <ol><li>The <a href="/wiki/NASCAR_Nextel_Cup_Series" title="NASCAR Nextel Cup Series">NASCAR Nextel Cup Series</a>/Winston Cup/Grand National/Strictly Stock Series.</li> <li>The NASCAR Late Model Sportsman/<a href="/wiki/NASCAR_Busch_Series" title="NASCAR Busch Series">NASCAR Busch Series</a></li> <li>The <a href="/wiki/NASCAR_Craftsman_Truck_Series" title="NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series">NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series</a></li></ol> <p>are deemed eligible to have an article placed in the The Third Turn. All <a href="/w/index.php?title=crew_chief&action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="crew chief (page does not exist)">crew chiefs</a> are allowed to have their own article if they have had at least one win in their tenure as crew chief, and all owners/teams are allowed to have an article providing they made fifteen starts *OR* ran three years in any of the series. All tracks who have held at least one (1) event in a premier NASCAR race (defined above) is eligible to have a The Third Turn. All sponsors who were the PRIMARY sponsor on a car in at least one (1) race in a premier NASCAR series is eligible as well. </p> <h3><span class="mw-headline" id="VANDALISM"><b>VANDALISM</b></span></h3> <p>Vandalism is any attempt to add, delete, or change content in an attempt to disrupt The Third Turn. This includes, but is not limited to, blanking of pages, adding profanity/obscenities, or complete and utter nonsense. If anyone spots any of this type of material in an article, it is asked that it be removed immediately. </p><p>Any attempt to vandalize The Third Turn is a serious breach of policy and will not be tolerated. Vandals who are caught disrupting The Third Turn will recieve two warnings, and if a third incident occurs, be blocked for a period of time as deemed appropriate by an administrator. </p><p>Not all vandalism is blatant, nor are all massive or controversial changes vandalism; careful attention needs to be given to whether the new data or information is right or whether it is vandalism. </p> <h3><span class="mw-headline" id="SPAMMING"><b>SPAMMING</b></span></h3> <p>Spamming is the addition of an unhelpful external link or advertisement of a service, website, or product. Spamming is not tolerated and will be dealt with in the same way vandalism is. </p><p>Generally, the only external links that should be included is the subject's website, statistics, and any extra information. Information that is basically a repeat of the article or of the other links will be removed. </p> <h3><span class="mw-headline" id="HARASSMENT"><b>HARASSMENT</b></span></h3> <p>Harassment is an attempt by a user to repeatedly annoy and/or hurt another user. If you feel that you are a victim of harassment by a fellow The Third Turn user, please contact an administrator immediately. </p> <h3><span class="mw-headline" id="BLOCKING"><b>BLOCKING</b></span></h3> <p>If it becomes necessary, administrators reserve the right to block other users from editing The Third Turn. This is not any sort of attempt to oppress free speech or show any sort of bias to a particular side. Users must understand that they themselves are accountable for their own actions, and must face the consequences if necessary. </p><p>Users can be blocked for ANY of the following lengths of time: </p> <ul><li>2 COMPLETE hours (120 minutes)</li> <li>1 COMPLETE day (24 hours)</li> <li>3 COMPLETE days (72 hours)</li> <li>1 COMPLETE week (7 days)</li> <li>2 COMPLETE weeks (14 days)</li> <li>1 COMPLETE month (30 days)</li> <li>3 COMPLETE months (90 days)</li> <li>6 COMPLETE months (180 days)</li> <li>1 COMPLETE year (365 days)</li> <li>INFINITE</li></ul> <p>The above is just a sample. The administrators reserve the right to block for another period of time if they so desire. Any administrator who blocks a user MUST immediately notify that user on their talk page and/or by e-mail. All blocks must then be reported by the administrator to the head administrator to ensure that the block is for a valid reason and the length of the block is not too severe/lenient. In extreme circumstances, (i.e. repeated rules violations), the administrator may need to refer the block over to the principal director. The head administrator and the principal director will then discuss what further action needs to be taken. Only the head administrator and the principal director may issue an infinite or permanent block, unless permission is given to an administrator by either of the two. </p> <h3><span class="mw-headline" id="NEUTRALITY"><b>NEUTRALITY</b></span></h3> <p>As The Third Turn is dedicated to providing a reliable, complete source of NASCAR information, it is ESSENTIAL that all content contains a neutral point of view.
