class="profile__content">Dr Neil Hodgson has been exploring globally for almost 40 years with operated oil and gas companies. He is currently with Searcher where he is bringing new multi-client seismic projects into exciting hydrocarbon stories.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="content-grid__item row-span-1 column-span-12"> <div class="profile"> <img src="/assets/Uploads/MaxGrey_NT__FitWzUwMCw1MDBd.png" alt="Max Brouwers" class="profile__image" /> <div class="profile__main"> <h4 class="uppercase"><strong>Max Brouwers</strong></h4> <p class="profile__content">Max Brouwers is a senior executive driving the energy transition. He works as Chief Business Development Officer for Getech, where he leads the growth for all of the company’s low carbon sectors: geothermal, natural hydrogen, critical minerals, CCS and energy storage. <br /> <br /> Max started his career at Shell in 1996 and his last role there was Vice President Exploration for Europe, Russia and Caspian. He is also the chair of the AAPG Energy Transition Forum, member of the UK Subsurface Taskforce and has an MBA plus an MSc in Geology.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="content-grid__item row-span-1 column-span-12"> <div class="profile"> <img src="/assets/BEOS-2025/convenors/CeylanGrey_NT__FitWzUwMCw1MDBd.png" alt="Ceylan Gomez" class="profile__image" /> <div class="profile__main"> <h4 class="uppercase"><strong>Ceylan Gomez</strong></h4> <p class="profile__content">Ceylan is a Senior Geophysicist at Serica Energy. Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago and moved to England for university in 2003. She holds a BSc in Geological Sciences and MSc in Exploration Geophysics from University of Leeds.<br /> <br /> Ceylan has seventeen years of experience as a Geophysicist in upstream Oil and Gas across the life cycle of assets from New Ventures to Development, in North Sea, West & South Africa, Canada and Ireland. She has worked mostly in London across 5 companies – Serica Energy, Nexen Petroleum (now CNOOC International), Cabot Energy (previously Northern Petroleum), Perenco & Sterling Energy.<br /> <br /> Ceylan currently sits on the committee of GESGB’s Special Interest Group (SIG) in Geophysics and is moderating a panel session at PETEX 2024 called “Securing the future of Energy Geoscience”. This is her third year as one of the BEOS convenors. <br /> </p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="content-grid__item row-span-1 column-span-12"> <div class="profile"> <img src="/assets/Uploads/Ian-CrossGrey_NT__FitWzUwMCw1MDBd.png" alt="Ian Cross" class="profile__image" /> <div class="profile__main"> <h4 class="uppercase"><strong>Ian Cross</strong></h4> <p class="profile__content">Ian is based out of the London Moyes office as Managing Director. Moyes is a boutique advisory company and Ian’s role is mainly on the M&A side of the business. After graduating in geology from Cardiff University his industry career started in the 1980s in the UK mainly working the North Sea and onshore before spending time in South East Asia based in both Singapore and Houston. Previous companies include Kestrel Data, Elf, well-site consulting work to BP and Fina, and IEDS which was then taken over by IHS. <br /> <br /> Ian is the currently President of the South East Asia Petroleum Exploration Society (SEAPEX) and the South East Asia Regional Leader for the Frontier Energy Network.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="content-grid__item row-span-1 column-span-12"> <div class="profile"> <img src="/assets/Uploads/StaceyGrey_NT__FitWzUwMCw1MDBd.png" alt="Stacey Kivel" class="profile__image" /> <div class="profile__main"> <h4 class="uppercase"><strong>Stacey Kivel</strong></h4> <p class="profile__content">Stacey is Co-Chairperson of the GESGB Conference division. She is a partner at the city firm, McCarthy Denning, which has a large integrated energy practice of top solicitors and international lawyers. Stacey is also a Non-Executive Director of AIM listed Tower Resources, where she previously worked for four years as Corporate Counsel. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Tronic Metals (previously Gcorp Strategies Incorporated), alongside Chairman Sam Jonah, KBE (X CEO of Anglo Ashante Gold), which is a non- listed reporting Canadian critical minerals company. <br /> <br /> Stacey is a corporate lawyer and financial advisor specializing in the management and development of upstream oil & gas operators, primarily in Africa, where she has worked since 1997.<br /> <br /> She was a founder and spent 6 years as Corporate Counsel, Head of Business Development and Investor Relations for Equator Exploration / Oando Limited (Nigeria & Gulf of Guinea) and in the same role for two years for H Oil & Minerals. She has acquired and divested of E&P rights for clients in Nigeria, Sao Tome, DR Congo, South Sudan, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Cameroon, Namibia and Kenya. She worked as commercial & legal advisor to Mart Resources, Minexco Petroleum, Nor Energy, Nomad Energy, Amazon Energy and Century Energy.<br /> <br /> Stacey is a qualified California lawyer with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics. She has been a regulated Financial Advisor (CF30) by the Financial Conduct Authority of the UK.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="content-grid__item row-span-1 column-span-12"> <div class="profile"> <img src="/assets/Uploads/JoeGrey_NT__FitWzUwMCw1MDBd.png" alt="Joe Court" class="profile__image" /> <div class="profile__main"> <h4 class="uppercase"><strong>Joe Court</strong></h4> <p class="profile__content">Joe is a business development manager and senior geoscientist for ThinkOnward - an Austin based innovation company for the energy sector that can crowdsource solutions for hard to solve problems.<br /> <br /> We work at the nexus of cloud computing, AI & ML and an open talent network of experts to deliver innovative solutions to customers in the energy sector.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="content-grid__item row-span-1 column-span-12"> <div class="profile"> <img src="/assets/Uploads/Irene-GarciaGrey_NT__FitWzUwMCw1MDBd.png" alt="Irene García Saiz" class="profile__image" /> <div class="profile__main"> <h4 class="uppercase"><strong>Irene García Saiz</strong></h4> <p class="profile__content">Irene gets her BSc. in Physics and MSc. in Geophysics and Meteorology in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). She joins Repsol in 2014, through the Master in Exploration & Production of Hydrocarbons within the specialization of Reservoir Engineering and Modelling (Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh). After being part of the Geophysical Operations team, designing, supervising, QCing and assessing Repsol seismic campaigns, she joined the Repsol Geological Carbon and Storage team in 2020. She specialised in geothermal exploration from 2021 to 2024, and recently moved to the Hydrogen Underground Storage team, focused on salt caverns.
