This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the Lord<MH136> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>GOD<MH3068> says<MH559> to the mountains<MH2022>, the hills<MH1389>, the ravines<MH650>, and the valleys<MH1516>: “Behold<MH2009>, I Myself<MH589> am going to bring<MH935> a sword<MH2719> against<MH5921> you, and I will destroy<MH6> your high<MH1116> places<MH1116>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/6-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>So your altars<MH4196> will become<MH8074> deserted<MH8074> and your incense<MH2553> altars<MH2553> will be smashed<MH7665>; and I will make your slain<MH2491a> fall<MH5307> in front<MH6440> of your idols<MH1544>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/6-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>I will also lay<MH5414> the dead<MH6297> bodies<MH6297> of the sons<MH1121> of Israel<MH3478> in front<MH6440> of their idols<MH1544>; and I will scatter<MH2219> your bones<MH6106> around<MH5439> your altars<MH4196>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/6-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span><span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[c]</a></span>Everywhere<MH3605> you live<MH4186>, cities<MH5892b> will be in ruins<MH2717b> and the high<MH1116> places<MH1116> will be<MH8074> deserted<MH8074>, so<MH4616> that<MH4616> your altars<MH4196> will be<MH2717b> in<MH2717b> ruins<MH2717b> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[d]</a></span>deserted<MH8074>, your idols<MH1544> will be broken<MH7665> and brought<MH7673a> to<MH7673a> an<MH7673a> end<MH7673a>, your incense<MH2553> altars<MH2553> will be cut<MH1438> down<MH1438>, and your works<MH4639> wiped<MH4229a> out<MH4229a>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/6-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>The slain<MH2491a> will fall<MH5307> among<MH8432> you, and you will know<MH3045> that I am the LORD<MH3068>. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/6-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>“However, I will leave<MH3498> a<MH3498> remnant<MH3498>, in that you will have<MH1961> those who<MH6412a> escaped<MH6412a> the sword<MH2719> among the nations<MH1471> when you are scattered<MH2219> among the countries<MH776>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/6-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>Then those of you who<MH6412a> escape<MH6412a> will remember<MH2142> Me among the nations<MH1471> to which<MH834> they will be taken<MH7617> captive<MH7617>, how<MH834> I have <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>been hurt<MH7665> by their adulterous<MH2181> hearts<MH3820> which<MH834> turned<MH5493> away<MH5493> from Me, and by their eyes<MH5869> which committed<MH2181> infidelity<MH2181> with<MH310> their idols<MH1544>; and they will loathe<MH6962a> themselves in their own sight<MH6440> for the evils<MH7463a> which<MH834> they have committed<MH6213a>, for all<MH3605> their abominations<MH8441>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/6-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>Then they will know<MH3045> that I am the LORD<MH3068>; I have not said<MH1696> in vain<MH2600> that I would inflict<MH6213a> this<MH2088> disaster<MH7463a> on them.”’ <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/6-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>“This<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the Lord<MH136> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>GOD<MH3068> says<MH559>: ‘Clap<MH5221> your hands<MH3709>, stamp<MH7554> your foot<MH7272> and say<MH559>, “Woe<MH253>, because<MH413> of all<MH3605> the evil<MH7451a> abominations<MH8441> of the house<MH1004> of Israel<MH3478>, which<MH834> will fall<MH5307> by the sword<MH2719>, famine<MH7458>, and plague<MH1698>! <span class="reftext"><a href="/ezekiel/6-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span><i>Anyone</i> who is far<MH7350> away<MH7350> will die<MH4191> by the plague<MH1698>, <i>anyone</i> who<MH7138> is near<MH7138> will fall<MH5307> by the sword<MH2719>, and <i>anyone</i> who remains<MH7604> and is spared<MH5341> <i>from these</i> will die<MH4191> by the famine<MH7458>.
