Shortly after release, <a href="/wiki/Nintendo" title="Nintendo">Nintendo</a> sent <a href="/wiki/D.M.C.A." class="mw-redirect" title="D.M.C.A.">D.M.C.A.</a> notices to websites hosting <i>AM2R</i>, and download links were removed.
