أنه يمكنك من الإطلاع على تطور مشروعك، ومن الربط بين أجزاء مختلفة منه، وإستعمال مفاتيح أجنبية، أو حتى إجراء عمليات مخزنة، محفزات، وغيرها.</p><p>ويشمل معظم أنواع البيانات المحددة في SQL92 المعيارية وSQL99، مثل INTEGER ،NUMERIC ،BOOLEAN ،CHAR ،VARCHAR ،DATE ،INTERVAL، وTIMESTAMP.</p><p>هناك ميزات أخرى مثيرة للاهتمام والتي يتضمنها PostgreSQL وتتمثل في ما يلي:</p><p>-التزامن الرفيع، الذي يمكنك من تهمك حقا، فعليك أن تعرف أنه لا يوجد حد الأقصى لحجم قاعدة البيانات PostgreSQL. وأن حجم الجدول يمكن أن يصل إلى 32 تيرا بايت، أما الصف أو العمود الوحد فيصل 1.6 تيرا بايت وإطار إلى 1 جبغابايت. كما أن عدد
