All night he was going up from Galgala <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH troubled them before Israel, and they struck them a great blow in Gebuun of Bayth Khuran and pursued them in the way of the ascent of Bayth Khuran, and attacked them with the sword unto Akar and unto Maqar <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>And when they fled from before Israel and they were coming down at the descent of Bayth Khuran, LORD JEHOVAH cast great stones upon them from the sky as far as Akar, and they died, and there were more who died by the hail stones than those whom the sons of Israel killed with the sword<p> <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>Then Yeshua spoke before LORD JEHOVAH in the day that LORD JEHOVAH would finish the Amorites before Israel, and Yeshua said before the children of Israel: “Sun in Gebuun, stay, and you moon in the plain of Ayluun!<p> <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>And the sun stopped and the moon stood still until the people was avenged on its enemies, and behold, it is written in The Book of Songs. And the sun stood still at mid sky and did not hurry to set, and it was about a whole day<p> <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>And there was not a day like that before it or after it, just as LORD JEHOVAH listened to the voice of Yeshua, because LORD JEHOVAH was making war for Israel<p> <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>And Yeshua returned and all Israel with him to the encampment at Galgala<p> <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>And these five Kings fled and they hid themselves in the cave of Maqar <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>And it was heard by Yeshua and they said to him: “These five Kings were found hiding in the cave of Maqar” <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>And Yeshua said: “Roll great stones and set them over the doorway of the cave and leave men there to guard them <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-19.htm#aramaic"><b>19</b></a></span>But you shall not stay, but chase after your enemies and overtake them and you shall not allow them to enter the city, so that LORD JEHOVAH your God will deliver them into your hands <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-20.htm#aramaic"><b>20</b></a></span>And when Yeshua and the children of Israel finished destroying them with a great destruction until they were finished, and no survivor was left of them, and they brought those rebels of Gebuun to their fortress cities <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-21.htm#aramaic"><b>21</b></a></span>Then all the people returned to the encampment to Yeshua at Maqar in peace, and none of the house of Israel harmed a man with his tongue<p> <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-22.htm#aramaic"><b>22</b></a></span>And Yeshua said: “Open the mouth of the cave and bring out to me these five Kings from the cave” <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-23.htm#aramaic"><b>23</b></a></span>And they did as Yeshua said to them and they brought out to him the five Kings from the cave, the King of Jerusalem, and the King of Khebrun, and the King of Yarmuth, and the King of Lakish, and the King of Eglun <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-24.htm#aramaic"><b>24</b></a></span>And when they had brought these Kings to Yeshua, Yeshua called all of the Rulers, the workers of war who were walking with him, and he said to them: “Come and put your feet on the necks of these Kings”, and they approached and they placed their feet on the necks of these Kings <A name="26"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-25.htm#aramaic"><b>25</b></a></span>And Yeshua said to them: “You shall not be afraid and you shall not tremble. Be strengthened and be strong, because thus LORD JEHOVAH does to all your enemies with whom you fight” <A name="27"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-26.htm#aramaic"><b>26</b></a></span>And afterward Yeshua killed them and he hanged them on five trees and they were hanging on the trees until evening <A name="28"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-27.htm#aramaic"><b>27</b></a></span>And at the time of the setting of the sun, Yeshua commanded and they took them down from the trees for crosses, and they cast them into the cave in which they had been hiding, and they placed great stones on the mouth of the cave until today<p> <A name="29"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-28.htm#aramaic"><b>28</b></a></span>And Yeshua defeated Maqar in that day and he destroyed it by the mouth of the sword, and they killed its King and everyone that was in it and he left of them not one survivor, and he did to the King of Maqar just as he did to the King of Yerikho<p> <A name="30"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-29.htm#aramaic"><b>29</b></a></span>And Yeshua passed by and all Israel with him, from Maqar to Lebna, and he fought with Lebna <A name="31"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-30.htm#aramaic"><b>30</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH delivered it also into the hand of Israel, and they destroyed it and its King by the mouth of the sword, and all the souls that were in it, and he did not leave a survivor in it, and Yeshua did to its King according to what he did to the King of Yerikho<p> <A name="32"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-31.htm#aramaic"><b>31</b></a></span>And Yeshua passed by and all Israel with him from Lebna to Lakish, and he encamped against it and he made war with it <A name="33"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-32.htm#aramaic"><b>32</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH delivered Lakish into the hand of Israel and he defeated it on the second day and he destroyed it by the mouth of the sword and all the souls that were in it as he did to Lebna<p> <A name="34"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-33.htm#aramaic"><b>33</b></a></span>Then Hermun King of Gezer went up to help Lakish, and Yeshua destroyed it, even it and its people by the mouth of the sword, and he did not leave it a survivor<p> <A name="35"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-34.htm#aramaic"><b>34</b></a></span>And Yeshua passed by and all Israel with him, from Lakish to Eglun, and he encamped against it and he made war with it <A name="36"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-35.htm#aramaic"><b>35</b></a></span>And he defeated it on that day and he destroyed it by the mouth of the sword and all the persons that there were in it, just as he did to Lakish<p> <A name="37"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-36.htm#aramaic"><b>36</b></a></span>And Yeshua came up and all Israel with him from Eglun to Khebron and he made war with it <A name="38"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-37.htm#aramaic"><b>37</b></a></span>And he defeated it and he destroyed it by the mouth of the sword and its King and all these his cities, and all these souls that there were in it, and he did not leave a survivor of them, as he did to Eglun and all the souls that were in it whom he put to the sword<p> <A name="39"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-38.htm#aramaic"><b>38</b></a></span>And Yeshua returned and all Israel with him to Dabir and he fought with it <A name="40"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/joshua/10-39.htm#aramaic"><b>39</b></a></span>And he defeated it and its King and all these his cities and he destroyed them by the mouth of the sword, and he destroyed all the souls in it and he did not leave of them a survivor;
