If you are doing these things, show yourself to the world.&#8221; <A name="6"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-5.htm#aramaic"><b>5</b></a></span>For his brothers also did not believe in Yeshua. <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-6.htm#aramaic"><b>6</b></a></span>Yeshua said to them: &#8220;My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.&#8221; <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>&#8220;The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I am testifying about it, that its servants are evil.&#8221; <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>&#8220;You go up to this feast; I am not going up now to this feast, because my time is not yet finished.&#8221; <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>He said these things and he remained in Galilee.<p> <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>But when his brothers went up to the feast, then he also went up, not openly, but as secretly. <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>But the Judeans were seeking him in the feast and they were saying, &#8220;Where is he?&#8221; <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>And there was much murmuring in the crowd because of him, for there were those who said, &#8220;He is good&#8221;, and others were saying, &#8220;No, but he deceives the people.&#8221; <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>But no man spoke openly about him, for fear of the Judeans.<p> <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>But when the midpoint of the feast had arrived, Yeshua came up to The Temple and he taught. <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>And the Judeans were astonished and were saying, &#8220;How does this man know the scrolls, having not learned?&#8221; <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>Yeshua answered and said: &#8220;My teaching is not Mine, but from him who sent Me.&#8221; <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>&#8220;Whoever is willing to do his will understands my teaching, whether it is from God or whether I speak for my own pleasure.&#8221; <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>&#8220;Whoever speaks for the pleasure of his own mind is seeking glory for himself, but he who seeks glory for the one who sent him is faithful and there is no evil in his heart.&#8221;<p> <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-19.htm#aramaic"><b>19</b></a></span>&#8220;Was it not Moses who gave you The Written Law? Yet no one among you keeps The Written Law.&#8221; <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-20.htm#aramaic"><b>20</b></a></span>&#8220;Why are you seeking to kill me?&#8221; The crowds answered and were saying, &#8220;A demon is in you. Who is seeking to kill you?&#8221; <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-21.htm#aramaic"><b>21</b></a></span>Yeshua answered and said to them, &#8220;I have done one work, and all of you are astonished.&#8221; <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-22.htm#aramaic"><b>22</b></a></span>&#8220;For this reason Moses gave you circumcision, not that it is from Moses but because it is from the forefathers, and you circumcise a son on the Sabbath.&#8221; <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-23.htm#aramaic"><b>23</b></a></span>&#8220;And if a son is circumcised on the Sabbath day because The Written Law of Moses should not be broken, do you complain about me because I have completely healed a man on the Sabbath day?&#8221; <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-24.htm#aramaic"><b>24</b></a></span>&#8220;Do not judge with partiality, but judge just judgment.&#8221;<p> <A name="26"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-25.htm#aramaic"><b>25</b></a></span>And the men from Jerusalem were saying, &#8220;Is This not he whom they seek to kill?&#8221; <A name="27"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-26.htm#aramaic"><b>26</b></a></span>&#8220;And behold, he speaks openly and they say nothing to him. When The Messiah comes, no one will know from where he is.&#8221; <A name="29"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-28.htm#aramaic"><b>28</b></a></span>And Yeshua lifted up his voice as he taught in The Temple and he said, &#8220;You know me and from where I am, and I have not come of my own pleasure, but he who has sent me is true, whom you do not know.&#8221; <A name="30"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-29.htm#aramaic"><b>29</b></a></span>&#8220;But I do know him, because I am from unity with him, and he has sent Me.&#8221; <A name="31"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-30.htm#aramaic"><b>30</b></a></span>And they sought to seize him, and no man laid hands on him, because his hour had not yet come. <A name="32"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-31.htm#aramaic"><b>31</b></a></span>But many from the crowds trusted in him and they were saying, &#8220;When The Messiah comes, will he do more miracles than these which This One has done?&#8221;<p> <A name="33"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-32.htm#aramaic"><b>32</b></a></span>And the Pharisees heard the crowds speaking these things about him and they and the Chief Priests sent guards to seize him. <A name="34"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-33.htm#aramaic"><b>33</b></a></span>And Yeshua said, &#8220;A little longer I am with you, and I will go join him who has sent Me.&#8221; <A name="35"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-34.htm#aramaic"><b>34</b></a></span>&#8220;And you will seek me and you will not find me, and wherever I am, you cannot come.&#8221; <A name="36"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-35.htm#aramaic"><b>35</b></a></span>The Judeans were saying among themselves, &#8220;Where is This Man prepared to go that we cannot be? Is He prepared to go teach the pagans?&#8221; <A name="37"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-36.htm#aramaic"><b>36</b></a></span>&#8220;What is this statement that he spoke?: 'You will seek me and will not find me, and wherever I am, you are not able to come?' &#8220;<p> <A name="38"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-37.htm#aramaic"><b>37</b></a></span>But at the great day, which is the last of the feast, Yeshua stood and he proclaimed and said: &#8220;If a man is thirsty, let him come to me and drink.&#8221; <A name="39"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-38.htm#aramaic"><b>38</b></a></span>&#8220;Everyone who trusts in me, just as the scriptures have said, rivers of living water shall flow from within him.&#8221; <A name="40"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-39.htm#aramaic"><b>39</b></a></span>But this he spoke about The Spirit, Whom those who were trusting in him were being prepared to receive; for The Spirit had not yet been given, because Yeshua had not yet been glorified.<p> <A name="41"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-40.htm#aramaic"><b>40</b></a></span>But many from the crowds who heard his words were saying, &#8220;This is truly The Prophet.&#8221; <A name="42"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-41.htm#aramaic"><b>41</b></a></span>Others were saying, &#8220;This One is The Messiah.&#8221; Others were saying, &#8220;Can The Messiah come from Galilee?&#8221; <A name="43"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-42.htm#aramaic"><b>42</b></a></span>&#8220;Has not the scripture said that The Messiah is coming from the seed of David and from Bethlehem, the village of David?&#8221; <A name="44"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-43.htm#aramaic"><b>43</b></a></span>And there was division among the crowd because of him. <A name="45"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-44.htm#aramaic"><b>44</b></a></span>And there were people among them who wanted to seize him, but no man put hands on him.<p> <A name="46"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-45.htm#aramaic"><b>45</b></a></span>And those guards came to the Chief Priests, and the Pharisees and the Priests said to them, &#8220;Why have you not brought him?&#8221; <A name="47"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-46.htm#aramaic"><b>46</b></a></span>The guards were saying to them, &#8220;Never in this way has a man spoken as This Man speaks.&#8221; <A name="48"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-47.htm#aramaic"><b>47</b></a></span>The Pharisees were saying to them, &#8220;Have you also been deceived?&#8221; <A name="49"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-48.htm#aramaic"><b>48</b></a></span>&#8220;Have men of the leaders or of the Pharisees trusted in him?&#8221; <A name="50"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-49.htm#aramaic"><b>49</b></a></span>&#8220;However, this people who do not know The Written Law are damned.&#8221; <A name="51"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-50.htm#aramaic"><b>50</b></a></span>Nicodemus said to them ( he is one of them who had come to Yeshua at night ): <A name="52"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-51.htm#aramaic"><b>51</b></a></span>&#8220;Does our Written Law condemn a man unless one shall hear him first and know what he has done?&#8221; <A name="53"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/john/7-52.htm#aramaic"><b>52</b></a></span>They answered and said to him, &#8220;Are you also from Galilee?
