in the firm’s Beijing office. He specializes in competition/antitrust, data/privacy protection and dispute resolution. He received his PhD degree in International Economic Law from the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE). He is the Chair of Dentons China Competition and Antitrust Practice and the Executive Member of Dentons Global Competition and Antitrust. Since as early as 2004, Dr. Deng has been participating in China’s antitrust legislation and providing domestic and foreign clients with legal service. As an antitrust lawyer with extensive hands-on experience, Dr. Deng has handled more than a hundred of antitrust filings for domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and has assisted a company to cope with the first failure-to-notify investigation involving VIE structure. Dr. Deng has represented a number of multinational and domestic corporations to cope with investigations on monopoly agreements and abuse of dominance brought by Chinese anti-monopoly law enforcement
