This year, the selection committee has chosen three production projects that will each receive S$30,000 in cash. One post-production project will also receive a grant of S$20,000. The titular ‘Labour’ refers to that Carlito Piedad, a janitor whose singular efforts led to the preservation of an audiovisual collection of people’s resistance during the period of Martial Law under Ferdinand Marcos.
