na indústria de streaming continuam a evoluir e um número crescente de programas de televisão populares está a ser disponibilizado em vários serviços de vídeo a pedido por subscrição (SVOD). Só nos últimos meses, por exemplo, programas como <em>Your Honor</em>, <em>Dexter</em>, <em>Prison Break</em> e <em>The Resident </em>encontraram novas audiências em várias plataformas. No entanto, a disponibilidade destes programas em várias plataformas realça uma tendência completamente diferente: <strong>a subutilização de conteúdos exclusivos</strong>.</p><p>Não há dúvida de que é inegável a importância de oferecer aos espectadores conteúdos envolventes e de elevada qualidade. A análise constatou que 93% do conteúdo que os cinco provedores globais de <sup>SVOD2</sup> distribuem é exclusivo de apenas um serviço.</p><p>A desvantagem aqui é que parece que os espectadores não estão a interagir ativamente com esse conteúdo. Os dados do último <a href="https://about.netflix.com/en/news/what-we-watched-the-first-half-of-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener">relatório What We Watched</a> da Netflix, por exemplo, mostram que 68% dos seus programas de TV e 73% dos seus filmes tiveram menos de 1 milhão de <sup>visualizações3</sup> no primeiro semestre de 2024. As audiências sentem-se sobrecarregadas e não sabem como encontrar o que estão à procura.</p><p>A verdadeira desvantagem deste cenário é o facto de os consumidores se terem tornado sensíveis aos custos associados às suas assinaturas, o que está a fazer aumentar <a href="https://www.marketingbrew.com/stories/2024/03/08/streamers-grapple-with-turnover-and-the-possibility-of-the-serial-churner-as-rates-increase" target="_blank" rel="noopener">as taxas de rotatividade</a>. Assim, apesar de 47% dos utilizadores de streaming afirmarem que passariam mais tempo em <sup>streaming6</sup> se fosse mais fácil encontrar conteúdos, um<a href="https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/media-entertainment/google-cloud-survey-finds-personalization-key-success-for-streaming-platforms" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> estudo</a> recente<a href="https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/media-entertainment/google-cloud-survey-finds-personalization-key-success-for-streaming-platforms" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> da Google</a> revelou que outros tantos cancelaram um serviço por não conseguirem encontrar algo para ver.</p><p>É aqui que a experiência do utilizador e a utilização de metadados de um serviço se tornam fundamentais. A experiência do utilizador não só pode ajudar a diferenciar um serviço que oferece conteúdo semelhante de outro, como também pode ajudar a ligar melhor o público ao conteúdo que procura. Como?
