If<MG1437> your brother<MG80> sins<MG264>, rebuke<MG2008> him; and if<MG1437> he repents<MG3340>, forgive<MG863> him. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>And if<MG1437> he sins<MG264> against<MG1519> you seven<MG2034> times<MG2034> a day<MG2250>, and returns<MG1994> to you seven<MG2034> times<MG2034>, saying<MG3004>, ‘I repent<MG3340>,’ you shall forgive<MG863> him.” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>The apostles<MG652> said<MG3004> to the Lord<MG2962>, “Increase<MG4369> our faith<MG4102>!” <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>But the Lord<MG2962> said<MG3004>, “If<MG1487> you <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[e]</a></span>had<MG2192> faith<MG4102> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[f]</a></span>the size<MG5613> of a mustard<MG4615> seed<MG2848>, you could say<MG3004> to this<MG3778> mulberry<MG4807> tree<MG4807>, ‘Be uprooted<MG1610> and be planted<MG5452> in the sea<MG2281>’; and it would <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[g]</a></span>obey<MG5219> you. <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>“Now<MG1161> which<MG5101> of you, having<MG2192> a slave<MG1401> plowing<MG722> or<MG2228> tending<MG4165> sheep<MG4165>, will say<MG3004> to him after he comes<MG1525> in<MG1525> from the field<MG68>, ‘Come<MG3928> immediately<MG2112> and recline<MG377> <i>at the table</i> to<MG377> eat<MG377>’? <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>On<MG235> the<MG235> contrary<MG235>, will he not say<MG3004> to him, ‘Prepare<MG2090> something<MG5101> for me to eat<MG1172>, and <i>properly</i> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[h]</a></span>clothe<MG4024> yourself and serve<MG1247> me while<MG2193> I eat<MG1172> and drink<MG4095>; and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>afterward<MG3326, 3778> you <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>may eat<MG2068> and drink<MG4095>’? <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>He does not thank<MG5485> the slave<MG1401> because<MG3754> he did<MG4160> the things which were commanded<MG1299>, does he? <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>So<MG3779> you too<MG2532>, when<MG3752> you do<MG4160> all<MG3956> the things<MG3956> which were commanded<MG1299> you, say<MG3004>, ‘We are <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>unworthy<MG888> slaves<MG1401>; we have done<MG4160> <i>only</i> that which<MG3739> we ought<MG3784> to have done<MG4160>.’” <p class="hdg">Ten Men with Leprosy Healed</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>While<MG1722> He was<MG4198> on<MG4198> the way<MG4198> to Jerusalem<MG2419>, He was passing<MG1330> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>between<MG1223, 3319> Samaria<MG4540> and Galilee<MG1056>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>And as He entered<MG1525> a village<MG2968>, ten<MG1176> men<MG435> with<MG3015> leprosy<MG3015> who<MG3739> stood<MG2476> at a distance<MG4207> met<MG528> Him; <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>and they raised<MG142> their voices<MG5456>, saying<MG3004>, “Jesus<MG2424>, Master<MG1988b>, have<MG1653> mercy<MG1653> on us!” <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>When He saw<MG3708> <i>them,</i> He said<MG3004> to them, “Go<MG4198> and show<MG1925> yourselves<MG1438> to the priests<MG2409>.” And as they were going<MG5217>, they were cleansed<MG2511>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>Now<MG1161> one<MG1520> of them, when he saw<MG3708> that he had been healed<MG2390>, turned<MG5290> back<MG5290>, glorifying<MG1392> God<MG2316> with a loud<MG3173> voice<MG5456>, <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>and he fell<MG4098> on his face<MG4383> at His feet<MG4228>, giving<MG2168> thanks<MG2168> to Him. And he was a Samaritan<MG4541>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>But Jesus<MG2424> responded<MG611> and said<MG3004>, “Were there not ten<MG1176> cleansed<MG2511>? But the nine<MG1767>—where<MG4226> <i>are they?</i> <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span><span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>Was no<MG3756> one found<MG2147> who returned<MG5290> to give<MG1325> glory<MG1391> to God<MG2316>, except<MG1508> this<MG3778> foreigner<MG241>?” <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>And He said<MG3004> to him, “Stand<MG450> up<MG450> and go<MG4198>; your faith<MG4102> has <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[n]</a></span>made<MG4982> you well<MG4982>.” <p class="hdg">Second Coming Foretold</p><p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>Now<MG1161> He was questioned<MG1905> by the Pharisees<MG5330> as to when<MG4219> the kingdom<MG932> of God<MG2316> was coming<MG2064>, and He answered<MG611> them and said<MG3004>, “The kingdom<MG932> of God<MG2316> is not coming<MG2064> with <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[o]</a></span>signs<MG3907> that<MG3907> can<MG3907> be<MG3907> observed<MG3907>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>nor<MG3761> will they say<MG3004>, ‘Look<MG2400>, here<MG5602> <i>it is!</i>’ or<MG2228>, ‘There<MG1563> <i>it is!</i>’ For behold<MG2400>, the kingdom<MG932> of God<MG2316> is <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[p]</a></span>in your midst<MG1787>.” <p class="paragraph"><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>And He said<MG3004> to the disciples<MG3101>, “The days<MG2250> will come<MG2064> when<MG3753> you will long<MG1937> to see<MG3708> one<MG1520> of the days<MG2250> of the Son<MG5207> of Man<MG444>, and you will not see<MG3708> <i>it.</i> <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>And they will say<MG3004> to you, ‘Look<MG2400> there<MG1563>,’ or<MG2228>, ‘Look<MG2400> here<MG5602>!’ Do not leave<MG565>, and do not run<MG1377> after<MG1377> <i>them.</i> <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>For just<MG5618> like<MG5618> the lightning<MG796>, when it flashes<MG797> out of one part <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[q]</a></span>of the sky<MG3772>, shines<MG2989> to the other part <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[r]</a></span>of the sky<MG3772>, so<MG3779> will the Son<MG5207> of Man<MG444> be in His day<MG2250>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span>But first<MG4413> He must<MG1163> suffer<MG3958> many<MG4183> things<MG4183> and be rejected<MG593> by this<MG3778> generation<MG1074>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span>And just<MG2531a> as<MG2531a> it happened<MG1096> in the days<MG2250> of Noah<MG3575>, so<MG3779> will it also<MG2532> be in the days<MG2250> of the Son<MG5207> of Man<MG444>: <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span><i>people</i> were eating<MG2068>, they were drinking<MG4095>, they were marrying<MG1060>, <i>and</i> they were being given<MG1061a> in<MG1061a> marriage<MG1061a>, until<MG891> the day<MG2250> that Noah<MG3575> entered<MG1525> the ark<MG2787>, and the flood<MG2627> came<MG2064> and destroyed<MG622> them all<MG3956>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span><span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[s]</a></span>It was the same<MG3668> as happened<MG1096> in the days<MG2250> of Lot<MG3091>: they were eating<MG2068>, they were drinking<MG4095>, they were buying<MG59>, they were selling<MG4453>, they were planting<MG5452>, <i>and</i> they were building<MG3618>; <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span>but on the day<MG2250> that Lot<MG3091> left<MG1831> Sodom<MG4670>, it rained<MG1026> fire<MG4442> and <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[t]</a></span>brimstone<MG2303> from heaven<MG3772> and destroyed<MG622> them all<MG3956>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span>It will be <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[u]</a></span>just<MG2596> the same<MG846> on the day<MG2250> that the Son<MG5207> of Man<MG444> is revealed<MG601>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span>On that day<MG2250>, the one who<MG3739> will be on the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[v]</a></span>housetop<MG1430>, <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[w]</a></span>with his<MG846> goods<MG4632> in the house<MG3614>, must not go<MG2597> down<MG2597> to take<MG142> them out<MG142>; and likewise<MG3668> the one in the field<MG68> must not turn<MG1994> back<MG3694, 1994>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span>Remember<MG3421> Lot’s<MG3091> wife<MG1135>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span>Whoever<MG3739, 1437> strives<MG2212> to <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[x]</a></span>save<MG4046> his <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[y]</a></span>life<MG5590> will lose<MG622> it, and whoever<MG3739, 302> loses<MG622> <i>his life</i> will keep<MG2225> it. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span>I tell<MG3004> you, on that night<MG3571> there will be two<MG1417> in one<MG1520> bed<MG2825b>; one<MG1520> will be taken<MG3880> and the other<MG2087> will be left<MG863>. <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-35.htm"><b>35</b></a></span>There will be two<MG1417> women grinding<MG229> at the same<MG846> <i>place;</i> one<MG1520> will be taken<MG3880> and the other<MG2087> will be left<MG863>. 36[<span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[z]</a></span>Two<MG1417> men<MG1417> will be in the field<MG68>;
