A convex type tissue surface is usually recommended for pontics of FPDs. That pontic design also provides suitable oral hygiene and ease of cleaning. However, high esthetic requirements and correct emergence profile are not always achievable because of the convex shape of adjacent soft tissues. Therefore, the ovate type pontic which fulfills the high esthetic demands of the patients may be a good alternative to the modified ridge lap pontic design. Clinical Report: A female patient referred with the complaint of anterior upper edentulousness. In the oral examination it was determined that teeth 11, 12, 21, 22 were deficient. A thick and convex gingival tissue that may cause aesthetic problems was also observed.. Periodontal augmentation surgery was performed to ensure proper papillary configuration and gingival contour. An interim removable partial denture (IRPD) which applied pressure to operated gingival tissues was fabricated postoperatively. The IRPD was used for 4 weeks and after completion of tissue sculpting, the permanent FPD with an ovate pontic was fabricated and cemented. After a follow-up period of 6 months, not any esthetical and hygienic problem was detected and the patient was satisfied with her prosthesis. Conclusion: It was concluded that shaping of gingival contours with IRPD and use of a FPD with ovate pontic fulfills all esthetic and hygienic requirements. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=interim%20appliance" title="interim appliance">interim appliance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ovate%20pontic" title=" ovate pontic"> ovate pontic</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=tissue%20sculpturing" title=" tissue sculpturing"> tissue sculpturing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fixed%20partial%20denture" title=" fixed partial denture"> fixed partial denture</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/27385/periodontal-soft-tissue-sculpturing-and-use-of-interim-appliance-for-rehabilitation-of-anterior-edentulousness-case-report" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/27385.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">280</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">106</span> An Efficient Architecture for Dynamic Customization and Provisioning of Virtual Appliance in Cloud Environment</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rajendar%20Kandan">Rajendar Kandan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mohammad%20Zakaria%20Alli"> Mohammad Zakaria Alli</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hong%20Ong"> Hong Ong</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Cloud computing is a business model which provides an easier management of computing resources. Cloud users can request virtual machine and install additional softwares and configure them if needed. However, user can also request virtual appliance which provides a better solution to deploy application in much faster time, as it is ready-built image of operating system with necessary softwares installed and configured. Large numbers of virtual appliances are available in different image format. User can download available appliances from public marketplace and start using it. However, information published about the virtual appliance differs from each providers leading to the difficulty in choosing required virtual appliance as it is composed of specific OS with standard software version. However, even if user choses the appliance from respective providers, user doesn&rsquo;t have any flexibility to choose their own set of softwares with required OS and application. In this paper, we propose a referenced architecture for dynamically customizing virtual appliance and provision them in an easier manner. We also add our experience in integrating our proposed architecture with public marketplace and Mi-Cloud, a cloud management software. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cloud%20computing" title="cloud computing">cloud computing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=marketplace" title=" marketplace"> marketplace</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=virtualization" title=" virtualization"> virtualization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=virtual%20appliance" title=" virtual appliance"> virtual appliance</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/44417/an-efficient-architecture-for-dynamic-customization-and-provisioning-of-virtual-appliance-in-cloud-environment" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/44417.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">293</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">105</span> Numerical Solutions of Fredholm Integral Equations by B-Spline Wavelet Method</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ritu%20Rani">Ritu Rani</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper, we apply minimalistically upheld linear semi-orthogonal B-spline wavelets, exceptionally developed for the limited interim to rough the obscure function present in the integral equations. Semi-orthogonal wavelets utilizing B-spline uniquely developed for the limited interim and these wavelets can be spoken to in a shut frame. This gives a minimized help. Semi-orthogonal wavelets frame the premise in the space L²(R). Utilizing this premise, an arbitrary function in L²(R) can be communicated as the wavelet arrangement. For the limited interim, the wavelet arrangement cannot be totally introduced by utilizing this premise. This is on the grounds that backings of some premise are truncated at the left or right end purposes of the interim. Subsequently, an uncommon premise must be brought into the wavelet development on the limited interim. These functions are alluded to as the limit scaling functions and limit wavelet functions. B-spline wavelet method has been connected to fathom linear and nonlinear integral equations and their systems. The above method diminishes the integral equations to systems of algebraic equations and afterward these systems can be illuminated by any standard numerical methods. Here, we have connected Newton's method with suitable starting speculation for solving these systems. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=semi-orthogonal" title="semi-orthogonal">semi-orthogonal</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=wavelet%20arrangement" title=" wavelet arrangement"> wavelet arrangement</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=integral%20equations" title=" integral equations"> integral equations</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=wavelet%20development" title=" wavelet development "> wavelet development </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/125473/numerical-solutions-of-fredholm-integral-equations-by-b-spline-wavelet-method" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/125473.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">174</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">104</span> City-Wide Simulation on the Effects of Optimal Appliance Scheduling in a Time-of-Use Residential Environment</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rudolph%20Carl%20Barrientos">Rudolph Carl Barrientos</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Juwaln%20Diego%20Descallar"> Juwaln Diego Descallar</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rainer%20James%20Palmiano"> Rainer James Palmiano</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Household Appliance Scheduling Systems (HASS) coupled with a Time-of-Use (TOU) pricing scheme, a form of Demand Side Management (DSM), is not widely utilized in the Philippines’ residential electricity sector. This paper’s goal is to encourage distribution utilities (DUs) to adopt HASS and TOU by analyzing the effect of household schedulers on the electricity price and load profile in a residential environment. To establish this, a city based on an implemented survey is generated using Monte Carlo Analysis (MCA). Then, a Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (BPSO) algorithm-based HASS is developed considering user satisfaction, electricity budget, appliance prioritization, energy storage systems, solar power, and electric vehicles. The simulations were assessed under varying levels of user compliance. Results showed that the average electricity cost, peak demand, and peak-to-average ratio (PAR) of the city load profile were all reduced. Therefore, the deployment of the HASS and TOU pricing scheme is beneficial for both stakeholders. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=appliance%20scheduling" title="appliance scheduling">appliance scheduling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=DSM" title=" DSM"> DSM</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=TOU" title=" TOU"> TOU</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=BPSO" title=" BPSO"> BPSO</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=city-wide%20simulation" title=" city-wide simulation"> city-wide simulation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electric%20vehicle" title=" electric vehicle"> electric vehicle</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=appliance%20prioritization" title=" appliance prioritization"> appliance prioritization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=energy%20storage%20system" title=" energy storage system"> energy storage system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=solar%20power" title=" solar power"> solar power</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/155938/city-wide-simulation-on-the-effects-of-optimal-appliance-scheduling-in-a-time-of-use-residential-environment" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/155938.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">98</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">103</span> The Success Rate of Anterior Crowding Orthodontic Treatment Using Removable Appliances</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Belly%20Yordan">Belly Yordan</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Orthodontic treatment can be done by using the fix and removable orthodontic appliance. The success of treatment depends on the patient’s age, the type of malocclusion, treatment of space discrepancy, patient’s oral hygiene, operator skills, and patient cooperation. This case report was aimed to show the success of orthodontic treatment in patients with skeletal class I relationship, class I angle dental malocclusion with anterior crowding and rotation by using a removable appliance with modification. The removable appliance used is standard with removable plate components such as passive clasp (Adam’s hook clasp) accompanied with some active clasps (labial bow, some springs, etc.). A button is used as an additional tool or combined with other tools to correct tooth in rotated position. The results obtained by the success of treatments which is shown in pre and post-treatment photos, the overjet was reduced, the arch form became normal, the tooth malposition became normal, and rotation was corrected. Facial profile appearance of the patient is getting better, and the dental coordination also became better. Consumers make their purchase decisions according to two needs: functional and emotional needs. Functional needs are fulfilled by product functionality, besides emotional needs are related to psychologists’ aspects of production. Emotions are distinctive elements which should be added to products and services to lead them up. In this case, the authors’ survey conducted pleasurable and hedonomic aspects in products of a home appliance company in Iran. In this regard, three samples of home appliance were selected: mixer, rice cooker, iron. Fifteen women (20-60) participated in this study. Every user evaluated each product by questionnaire based on 7 point semantic differential scale. After analyzing the results with statistical methods, results showed that 90% of users aren’t satisfied with hedonic and pleasurable criteria in interaction with these products. They notified that regarding hedonomics and pleasurable criteria’s they will have better ease of use and functionality. Our findings show a significant association between products’ features and user satisfaction. It seems that industrial design has a significant impression on the company’s products and with regard the pleasurable criteria the company sales will be more successful. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=home%20appliance" title="home appliance">home appliance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=interaction" title=" interaction"> interaction</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pleasure" title=" pleasure"> pleasure</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hedonomy" title=" hedonomy"> hedonomy</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ergonomy" title=" ergonomy"> ergonomy</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/7650/interaction-design-in-home-appliance-an-integrated-approach-inkanseiand-hedonomic-cases-rice-cooker-juicer-mixer" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/7650.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">382</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">101</span> Electrical Decomposition of Time Series of Power Consumption</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Noura%20Al%20Akkari">Noura Al Akkari</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aur%C3%A9lie%20Foucquier"> Aurélie Foucquier</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sylvain%20Lespinats"> Sylvain Lespinats</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Load monitoring is a management process for energy consumption towards energy savings and energy efficiency. Non Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) is one method of load monitoring used for disaggregation purposes. NILM is a technique for identifying individual appliances based on the analysis of the whole residence data retrieved from the main power meter of the house. Our NILM framework starts with data acquisition, followed by data preprocessing, then event detection, feature extraction, then general appliance modeling and identification at the final stage. The event detection stage is a core component of NILM process since event detection techniques lead to the extraction of appliance features. Appliance features are required for the accurate identification of the household devices. In this research work, we aim at developing a new event detection methodology with accurate load disaggregation to extract appliance features. Time-domain features extracted are used for tuning general appliance models for appliance identification and classification steps. We use unsupervised algorithms such as Dynamic Time Warping (DTW). The proposed method relies on detecting areas of operation of each residential appliance based on the power demand. Then, detecting the time at which each selected appliance changes its states. In order to fit with practical existing smart meters capabilities, we work on low sampling data with a frequency of (1/60) Hz. The data is simulated on Load Profile Generator software (LPG), which was not previously taken into consideration for NILM purposes in the literature. LPG is a numerical software that uses behaviour simulation of people inside the house to generate residential energy consumption data. The proposed event detection method targets low consumption loads that are difficult to detect. Also, it facilitates the extraction of specific features used for general appliance modeling. In addition to this, the identification process includes unsupervised techniques such as DTW. To our best knowledge, there exist few unsupervised techniques employed with low sampling data in comparison to the many supervised techniques used for such cases. We extract a power interval at which falls the operation of the selected appliance along with a time vector for the values delimiting the state transitions of the appliance. After this, appliance signatures are formed from extracted power, geometrical and statistical features. Afterwards, those formed signatures are used to tune general model types for appliances identification using unsupervised algorithms. This method is evaluated using both simulated data on LPG and real-time Reference Energy Disaggregation Dataset (REDD). For that, we compute performance metrics using confusion matrix based metrics, considering accuracy, precision, recall and error-rate. The performance analysis of our methodology is then compared with other detection techniques previously used in the literature review, such as detection techniques based on statistical variations and abrupt changes (Variance Sliding Window and Cumulative Sum). <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electrical%20disaggregation" title="electrical disaggregation">electrical disaggregation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=DTW" title=" DTW"> DTW</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=general%20appliance%20modeling" title=" general appliance modeling"> general appliance modeling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=event%20detection" title=" event detection"> event detection</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/170691/electrical-decomposition-of-time-series-of-power-consumption" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/170691.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">78</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">100</span> Empirical Decomposition of Time Series of Power Consumption</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Noura%20Al%20Akkari">Noura Al Akkari</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aur%C3%A9lie%20Foucquier"> Aurélie Foucquier</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sylvain%20Lespinats"> Sylvain Lespinats</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Load monitoring is a management process for energy consumption towards energy savings and energy efficiency. In order to fit with practical existing smart meters capabilities, we work on low sampling data with a frequency of (1/60) Hz. The data is simulated on Load Profile Generator software (LPG), which was not previously taken into consideration for NILM purposes in the literature. LPG is a numerical software that uses behaviour simulation of people inside the house to generate residential energy consumption data. The proposed event detection method targets low consumption loads that are difficult to detect. Also, it facilitates the extraction of specific features used for general appliance modeling. In addition to this, the identification process includes unsupervised techniques such as DTW. To our best knowledge, there exist few unsupervised techniques employed with low sampling data in comparison to the many supervised techniques used for such cases. We extract a power interval at which falls the operation of the selected appliance along with a time vector for the values delimiting the state transitions of the appliance. After this, appliance signatures are formed from extracted power, geometrical and statistical features. Afterwards, those formed signatures are used to tune general model types for appliances identification using unsupervised algorithms. This method is evaluated using both simulated data on LPG and real-time Reference Energy Disaggregation Dataset (REDD). For that, we compute performance metrics using confusion matrix based metrics, considering accuracy, precision, recall and error-rate. The performance analysis of our methodology is then compared with other detection techniques previously used in the literature review, such as detection techniques based on statistical variations and abrupt changes (Variance Sliding Window and Cumulative Sum). <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=general%20appliance%20model" title="general appliance model">general appliance model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=non%20intrusive%20load%20monitoring" title=" non intrusive load monitoring"> non intrusive load monitoring</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=events%20detection" title=" events detection"> events detection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=unsupervised%20techniques%3B" title=" unsupervised techniques;"> unsupervised techniques;</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/170576/empirical-decomposition-of-time-series-of-power-consumption" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/170576.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">82</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">99</span> Value Analysis Dashboard in Supply Chain Management, Real Case Study from Iran</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Seyedehfatemeh%20Golrizgashti">Seyedehfatemeh Golrizgashti</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Seyedali%20Dalil"> Seyedali Dalil</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The goal of this paper is proposing a supply chain value dashboard in home appliance manufacturing firms to create more value for all stakeholders via balanced scorecard approach. Balanced scorecard is an effective approach that managers have used to evaluate supply chain performance in many fields but there is a lack of enough attention to all supply chain stakeholders, improving value creation and, defining correlation between value indicators and performance measuring quantitatively. In this research the key stakeholders in home appliance supply chain, value indicators with respect to create more value for stakeholders and the most important metrics to evaluate supply chain value performance based on balanced scorecard approach have been selected via literature review. The most important indicators based on expert’s judgment acquired by in survey focused on creating more value for. Structural equation modelling has been used to disclose relations between value indicators and balanced scorecard metrics. The important result of this research is identifying effective value dashboard to create more value for all stakeholders in the supply chain via balanced scorecard approach and based on an empirical study covering ten home appliance manufacturing firms in Iran. Home appliance manufacturing firms can increase their stakeholder's satisfaction by using this value dashboard. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=supply%20chain%20management" title="supply chain management">supply chain management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=balanced%20scorecard" title=" balanced scorecard"> balanced scorecard</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=value" title=" value"> value</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=structural%20modeling" title=" structural modeling"> structural modeling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stakeholders" title=" stakeholders"> stakeholders</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/35631/value-analysis-dashboard-in-supply-chain-management-real-case-study-from-iran" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/35631.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">351</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">98</span> The Role of Dentists in the Management of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=David%20Parmenter">David Parmenter</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Brian%20Millar"> Brian Millar</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Obstructive sleep apnoea is a common condition which is generally under-diagnosed. Poorly managed obstructive sleep apnoea carries serious health risks and can greatly impact on the sufferer's quality of life. This publication covers the aetiology, symptoms, and treatment of sleep apnoea. The treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnoea is an emerging field, and the useful role of the Dental Team is relatively unknown, therefor this paper will highlight the role of the dental team in its treatment. The concept of mandibular advancement appliances, along with the clinical and laboratory stages for constructing them, are documented. It is the hope of the author that this publication will educate healthcare professionals on the role of dental practitioners in the multidisciplinary team for treating sleep apnoea. Objective: Individuals should be more aware of the demographic of patients at risk of sleep apnoea, how it is diagnosed and which group of sleep apnoea patients are suitable to refer for mandibular appliance therapy. Individuals should also be aware of what a mandibular advancement appliance is and how it helps treat obstructive sleep apnoea. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sleep%20apnoea" title="sleep apnoea">sleep apnoea</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=snoring" title=" snoring"> snoring</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sleep%20appliances" title=" sleep appliances"> sleep appliances</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=mandibular%20advancement%20appliance" title=" mandibular advancement appliance"> mandibular advancement appliance</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/157775/the-role-of-dentists-in-the-management-of-obstructive-sleep-apnoea" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/157775.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">108</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">97</span> Analysis of an Alternative Data Base for the Estimation of Solar Radiation</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Graciela%20Soares%20Marcelli">Graciela Soares Marcelli</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Elison%20Eduardo%20Jardim%20Bierhals"> Elison Eduardo Jardim Bierhals</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Luciane%20Teresa%20Salvi"> Luciane Teresa Salvi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Claudineia%20Brazil"> Claudineia Brazil</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rafael%20Haag"> Rafael Haag</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The sun is a source of renewable energy, and its use as both a source of heat and light is one of the most promising energy alternatives for the future. To measure the thermal or photovoltaic systems a solar irradiation database is necessary. Brazil still has a reduced number of meteorological stations that provide frequency tests, as an alternative to the radio data platform, with reanalysis systems, quite significant. ERA-Interim is a global fire reanalysis by the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). The data assimilation system used for the production of ERA-Interim is based on a 2006 version of the IFS (Cy31r2). The system includes a 4-dimensional variable analysis (4D-Var) with a 12-hour analysis window. The spatial resolution of the dataset is approximately 80 km at 60 vertical levels from the surface to 0.1 hPa. This work aims to make a comparative analysis between the ERA-Interim data and the data observed in the Solarimmetric Atlas of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, to verify its applicability in the absence of an observed data network. Thirty orthodontic patients aged 18 and over undergoing fixed appliance therapy at the end of leveling stage were divided into three groups. Subjects brushed their teeth with a toothbrush under standardized conditions for a period of 30 days prior to inter-dental care products. The same procedure was repeated each time with a different, randomly assigned inter-dental care products in a crossover design. (Inter-dental brush, powered inter-dental brush and mouth wash). At start and end of each removal period, plaque indexes of participants were scored. Each brush achieved statistically significant plaque removal; however, there were no statistical differences among groups for all surfaces of teeth when the plaque score was evaluated. The mouth wash group presented significant improvement in reduction of visible plaque on mesial and distal surfaces of posterior teeth. (-60.9 %, P< .001) Plaque removal for right and left side of mouth showed no significant differences within groups, only mouth wash was more efficient in right side than left side. It is concluded that effectiveness of plaque removal may not be related to the kind of inter-dental products directly. However, toothbrush when used with inter-dental care products is significantly better at removing plaque deposits from fixed appliance patients. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=orthodontics" title="orthodontics">orthodontics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dental%20care" title=" dental care"> dental care</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=brush" title=" brush"> brush</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=plaque" title=" plaque"> plaque</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/66581/plaque-removal-efficacy-of-different-dental-care-products-during-fixed-orthodontic-appliance-therapy" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/66581.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">243</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">95</span> Explorative Approach to the Evolving Administrative Landscape of South Africa</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Z.%20I%20Jeeva">Z. In 1994, the new democratic government undertook to restructure the country’s racially segregated administrative structure by integrating areas to form cohesive municipal entities that would allow for the more efficient administration management of the regions. It planned to achieve this within a short seven-year period from 1993 to 2000, which was to be divided into three phases, namely, the pre-interim phase from 1994 to1995, the interim phase from 1996 to 1999, and the post-interim phase from 2000 onwards. However, the extensive integrated municipal approach was easier to pen on paper than to implement in practice. This paper seeks to explore the South African spatial reform process from 1993 to 2020, by analyzing policy documents and literature in order to determine how exactly the government attempted to achieve this. The study found that the spatial restructuring process was particularly complex since the democratic government inherited an unequal society located on a fragmented spatial landscape of which there was limited knowledge with many unresolved issues. Furthermore, the study found that there is a lack of literature on the topic from an urban planning perspective and calls for further research to ensure the formation of more efficient administrative regions. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=categorization" title="categorization">categorization</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=demarcation" title=" demarcation"> demarcation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=municipalities" title=" municipalities"> municipalities</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=racial%20integration" title=" racial integration"> racial integration</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=spatial%20reform" title=" spatial reform"> spatial reform</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/127570/explorative-approach-to-the-evolving-administrative-landscape-of-south-africa" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/127570.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">107</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">94</span> Efficacy of the ExVent Accessory with the O2Vent Optima Oral Appliance in the Treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea: A Clinical Trial</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sat%20Sharma">Sat Sharma</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Antonella%20Conflitti"> Antonella Conflitti</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Hilary%20Reiter"> Hilary Reiter</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Introduction: The study's purpose was to assess the efficacy of the oral appliance device O2Vent Optima + ExVent as compared to Optima in the treatment of OSA. An aim of HEMS is to minimize their electricity cost by controlling the use of their appliances according to electricity price. The use of appliances in HEMS may be affected by some conditions such as external temperature and electricity price. Therefore, the user’s usage pattern of appliances should be modeled according to the external conditions, and the resultant usage pattern is related to the user’s comfortability on use of each appliances. This paper proposes a methodology to model the usage pattern based on the historical data with the copula function. Through copula function, the usage range of each appliance can be obtained and is able to satisfy the appropriate user’s comfort according to the external conditions for next day. Within the usage range, an optimal scheduling for appliances would be conducted so as to minimize an electricity cost with considering user’s comfort. Among the home appliance, electric heater (EH) is a representative appliance which is affected by the external temperature. In this paper, an optimal scheduling algorithm for an electric heater (EH) is addressed based on the method of branch and bound. As a result, scenarios for the EH usage are obtained according to user’s comfort levels and then the residential consumer would select the best scenario. The case study shows the effects of the proposed algorithm compared with the traditional operation of the EH, and it also represents impacts of the comfort level on the scheduling result. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=load%20scheduling" title="load scheduling">load scheduling</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=usage%20pattern" title=" usage pattern"> usage pattern</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=user%E2%80%99s%20comfort" title=" user’s comfort"> user’s comfort</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=copula%20function" title=" copula function"> copula function</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=branch%20and%20bound" title=" branch and bound"> branch and bound</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=electric%20heater" title=" electric heater "> electric heater </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/39132/scheduling-method-for-electric-heater-in-hems-considering-users-comfort" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/39132.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">584</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">91</span> The Risk Assessments of Water Quality in Selected White Water River in Malaysia </h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jaffry%20Zakaria">Jaffry Zakaria</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Nor%20Azlina%20Hasbullah"> Nor Azlina Hasbullah</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The research on water quality based on 'Water Quality Index' (WQI) has been on the run along Kampar River in Perak State of Malaysia. This study was conducted to achieve several key objective that determe the value of the parameters that were studied based on Water Quality Index (WQI). The parameters include Dissolved Oxygen (DO), pH, Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) and Suspended Solids. In this study, three sampling stations were selected. Through observations from the researchers, several pollutions were found occurring along the research area such as the disposal of waste water directly without treatment from villagers, widespread dumping of solid waste and the development of the surrounding areas that contributed to the pollution of Sungai Kampar in Perak, Malaysia. Sungai Kampar is commonly used for water recreational activities as well as for bathing purposes. Results showed that Sungai Kampar is classified under category III. According to Interim National Water Quality Standard for Malaysia (INWQS), rivers in the third grade are clean but not suitable for river recreational activities. Therefore, there is a requirement to investigate and analysis the water quality of all white water rivers in Malaysia focusing on the area of water activities. The combination of technology and risk management based on risk assessments can help the recreational industry to survive in future. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=risk%20assessments" title="risk assessments">risk assessments</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=White%20Water%20River" title=" White Water River"> White Water River</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=water%20quality%20index%20%28WQI%29" title=" water quality index (WQI)"> water quality index (WQI)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Interim%20National%20Water%20Quality%20Standard%20for%20Malaysia%20%28INWQS%29" title=" Interim National Water Quality Standard for Malaysia (INWQS)"> Interim National Water Quality Standard for Malaysia (INWQS)</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/68089/the-risk-assessments-of-water-quality-in-selected-white-water-river-in-malaysia" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/68089.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">350</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">90</span> Need for a National Newborn Screening Programme in India: Pilot Study Data</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sudheer%20Moorkoth">Sudheer Moorkoth</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Leslie%20Edward%20Lewis"> Leslie Edward Lewis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Pragna%20Rao"> Pragna Rao</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Newborn screening (NBS) is a part of routine newborn care in many countries worldwide to detect early any rare treatable conditions and inborn errors of metabolism (IEM). India has not started this program yet. In an attempt to understand the challenges in implementing a national newborn screening program in India, we initiated a pilot newborn screening project funded by the Government of Canada. Along with initiating the newborn screening at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal in South India, for screening six disorders (Congenital Hypothyroidism(CH), Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH), Galactosemia, Biotinidase deficiency, Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase deficiency (G-6PD) and Phenylketonurea), we also studied the awareness of various stakeholders on the newborn screening. In a period of nine months from August 2017 to March 2018 we could screen 1915 newborns (999 male and 916 female). The result showed that there were seven babies screened positive. This interim result points to an incidence rate of 1 in 270 children for these rare disorders collectively. This includes three confirmed cases of CH, two cases of G-6PD deficiency, and one case each for Galctosemia and CAH. A questionnaire based study to understand the awareness among various stakeholders revealed that there is little awareness among parents, adolescents and anganwadi workers (public health worker). The interim data points to the need for a national newborn screening programme in India. There is also an immediate need to undertake large-scale awareness programme to create knowledge on NBS among the various stakeholders. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=awareness" title="awareness">awareness</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inborn%20errors%20of%20metabolism%20%28IEM%29" title=" inborn errors of metabolism (IEM)"> inborn errors of metabolism (IEM)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=newborn%20screening" title=" newborn screening"> newborn screening</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=rare%20disease" title=" rare disease"> rare disease</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/93774/need-for-a-national-newborn-screening-programme-in-india-pilot-study-data" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/93774.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">249</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">89</span> Sustainable Development in Orthodontics: Orthodontic Archwire Waste</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Saarah%20Juman">Saarah Juman</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ilona%20Johnson"> Ilona Johnson</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Stephen%20Richmond"> Stephen Richmond</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Brett%20Duane"> Brett Duane</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sheelagh%20Rogers"> Sheelagh Rogers</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Introduction: Researchers suggest that within 50 years or less, the available supply of a range of metals will be exhausted, potentially leading to increases in resource conflict and largescale production shortages. The healthcare, dental and orthodontic sectors will undoubtedly be affected as stainless steel instruments are generally heavily relied on. Although changing orthodontic archwires are unavoidable and necessary to allow orthodontic tooth movement through the progression of an archwire sequence with fixed appliances, they are thought to be manufactured in excess of what is needed. Furthermore, orthodontic archwires require trimming extraorally to allow safe intraoral insertion, thus contributing to unnecessary waste of natural resources. Currently, there is no evidence to support the optimisation of archwire length according to orthodontic fixed appliance stage. As such, this study aims to quantify archwire excess (extraoral archwire trimmings) for different stages of orthodontic fixed appliance treatment. Methodology: This prospective, observational, quantitative study observed trimmings made extraorally against pre-treatment study models by clinicians over a 3-month period. Archwires were categorised into one of three categories (initial aligning, sequence, working/finishing arcwhires) within the orthodontic fixed appliance archwire sequence. Data collection included archwire material composition and the corresponding length and weight of excess archwire. Data was entered using a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and imported into statistical software to obtain simple descriptive statistics. Results: Measurements were obtained for a total of 144 archwires. Archwire materials included nickel titanium and stainless steel. All archwires observed required extraorally trimming to allow safe intraoral insertion. The manufactured lengths of orthodontic initial aligning, sequence, and working/finishing arcwhires were at least 31%, 26%, and 39% in excess, respectively. Conclusions: Orthodontic archwires are manufactured to be excessively long at all orthodontic archwire sequence stages. To conserve natural resources, this study’s findings support the optimisation of orthodontic archwire lengths by manufacturers according to the typical stages of an orthodontic archwire sequence. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=archwire" title="archwire">archwire</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=orthodontics" title=" orthodontics"> orthodontics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sustainability" title=" sustainability"> sustainability</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=waste" title=" waste"> waste</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/144797/sustainable-development-in-orthodontics-orthodontic-archwire-waste" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/144797.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">195</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">88</span> Performance Comparison of Situation-Aware Models for Activating Robot Vacuum Cleaner in a Smart Home</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Seongcheol%20Kwon">Seongcheol Kwon</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jeongmin%20Kim"> Jeongmin Kim</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kwang%20Ryel%20Ryu"> Kwang Ryel Ryu</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> We assume an IoT-based smart-home environment where the on-off status of each of the electrical appliances including the room lights can be recognized in a real time by monitoring and analyzing the smart meter data. At any moment in such an environment, we can recognize what the household or the user is doing by referring to the status data of the appliances. In this paper, we focus on a smart-home service that is to activate a robot vacuum cleaner at right time by recognizing the user situation, which requires a situation-aware model that can distinguish the situations that allow vacuum cleaning (Yes) from those that do not (No). We learn as our candidate models a few classifiers such as naïve Bayes, decision tree, and logistic regression that can map the appliance-status data into Yes and No situations. Our training and test data are obtained from simulations of user behaviors, in which a sequence of user situations such as cooking, eating, dish washing, and so on is generated with the status of the relevant appliances changed in accordance with the situation changes. During the simulation, both the situation transition and the resulting appliance status are determined stochastically. To compare the performances of the aforementioned classifiers we obtain their learning curves for different types of users through simulations. The result of our empirical study reveals that naïve Bayes achieves a slightly better classification accuracy than the other compared classifiers. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=situation-awareness" title="situation-awareness">situation-awareness</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=smart%20home" title=" smart home"> smart home</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=IoT" title=" IoT"> IoT</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=machine%20learning" title=" machine learning"> machine learning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=classifier" title=" classifier"> classifier</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/43488/performance-comparison-of-situation-aware-models-for-activating-robot-vacuum-cleaner-in-a-smart-home" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/43488.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">422</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">87</span> Reverse Twin Block with Expansion Screw for Treatment of Skeletal Class III Malocclusion in Growing Patient: Case Report</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Alfrina%20Marwan">Alfrina Marwan</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Erna%20Sulistyawati"> Erna Sulistyawati</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Class III malocclusion shows both skeletal and dentoalveolar component. In parallel with the development of smart home applications and IoT algorithms, these sensors produce important data such as the frequency of use of the machine, user preferences, and the compilation of critical data in terms of diagnostic processes for fault detection throughout an appliance's operational lifespan. Commercially available thin-film resistive temperature sensors have a well-established manufacturing procedure that allows them to operate over a wide temperature range. However, these sensors are over-designed for white goods applications. The operating temperature range of these sensors is between -70°C and 850°C, while the temperature range requirement in home appliance applications is between 23°C and 500°C. To ensure the operation of commercial sensors in this wide temperature range, usually, a platinum coating of approximately 1-micron thickness is applied to the wafer. However, the use of platinum in coating and the high coating thickness extends the sensor production process time and therefore increases sensor costs. In this study, an attempt was made to develop a low-cost temperature sensor design and production method that meets the technical requirements of white goods applications. For this purpose, a custom design was made, and design parameters (length, width, trim points, and thin film deposition thickness) were optimized by using statistical methods to achieve the desired resistivity value. To develop thin film resistive temperature sensors, one side polished sapphire wafer was used. To enhance adhesion and insulation 100 nm silicon dioxide was coated by inductively coupled plasma chemical vapor deposition technique. The lithography process was performed by a direct laser writer. The lift-off process was performed after the e-beam evaporation of 10 nm titanium and 280 nm platinum layers. Standard four-point probe sheet resistance measurements were done at room temperature. The annealing process was performed. Resistivity measurements were done with a probe station before and after annealing at 600°C by using a rapid thermal processing machine. Temperature dependence between 25-300 °C was also tested. As a result of this study, a temperature sensor has been developed that has a lower coating thickness than commercial sensors but can produce reliable data in the white goods application temperature range. A relatively simplified but optimized production method has also been developed to produce this sensor. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=thin%20film%20resistive%20sensor" title="thin film resistive sensor">thin film resistive sensor</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=temperature%20sensor" title=" temperature sensor"> temperature sensor</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=household%20appliance" title=" household appliance"> household appliance</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=sustainability" title=" sustainability"> sustainability</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=energy%20efficiency" title=" energy efficiency"> energy efficiency</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/172775/customized-temperature-sensors-for-sustainable-home-appliances" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/172775.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">73</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">85</span> Prevalence of Malocclusion and Assessment of Orthodontic Treatment Needs in Malay Transfusion-Dependent Thalassemia Patients</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Mohamed%20H.%20Kosba">Mohamed H. In these patients, the most dominant maxillofacial manifestations are protrusion of zygomatic bones and premaxilla due to the hyperplasia of bone marrow. The purpose of this study is to determine the prevalence of malocclusion and orthodontic treatment needs according to the Dental Aesthetic Index (DAI) among Malay transfusion-dependent thalassemia patients. Orientation: This is a cross-sectional study consist of 43 Malay transfusion-dependent thalassemia patients, 22 males, and 19 females with the mean age of 15.9 years old (SD 3.58). The subjects were selected randomly from patients attending Paediatrics and Internal Medicine Clinic at Hospital USM and Hospital Sultana Bahiyah. The subjects were assessed for malocclusion according to Angle’s classification, and orthodontic treatment needs using DAI. The results show that 22 of the subjects (51.1%) have class II malocclusion, 12 subjects (28%) have class І, while 9 subjects (20.9%) have class Ⅲ. The assessment of orthodontic treatment needs to reveal 22 cases (51.1%) fall in the normal/minor needs category, 12 subjects (28%) fall in the severe and very severe category, while 9 subjects (20.9%) fall in the definite category. Conclusion & Significance: Half of Malay transfusion-dependent thalassemia patients have Class Ⅱmalocclusion. About 28% had malocclusion and required orthodontic treatment. This research shows that Malay transfusion-dependent thalassemia may require orthodontic management; earlier intervention to reduce the complexity of the treatment later, suggesting functional appliance as a suitable treatment option for them, a twin block appliance together with headgear to restrict maxillary growth suggested for management. The current protocol implemented by the Malaysian Ministry of Health for the management of these patients seems to be sufficient since the result shows that about 28% require orthodontic treatment need, according to DAI. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=prevalence" title="prevalence">prevalence</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=DAI" title=" DAI"> DAI</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=thalassaemia" title=" thalassaemia"> thalassaemia</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=angle%20classification" title=" angle classification"> angle classification</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/120778/prevalence-of-malocclusion-and-assessment-of-orthodontic-treatment-needs-in-malay-transfusion-dependent-thalassemia-patients" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/120778.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">143</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">84</span> The Effectiveness of Multi-Media Experiential Training Programme on Advance Care Planning in Enhancing Acute Care Nurses’ Knowledge and Confidence in Advance Care Planning Discussion: An Interim Report</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Carmen%20W.%20H.%20Chan">Carmen W. However, nurses in these settings, in fact, have very low-level involvement in ACP discussions because of limited training in ACP conversations. Objective: This study aims to assess the impact of a multi-media experiential ACP (MEACP) training program, which is guided by the experiential learning model and theory of planned behaviour, on nurses' knowledge and confidence in assisting patients with ACP. Methodology: The study utilizes a cluster randomized controlled trial with a 12-week follow-up. Eligible nurses working in acute care hospital wards are randomly assigned at the ward level, in a 1:1 ratio, to either the control group (no ACP education) or the intervention group (4-week MEACP training program). The training programme includes training through a webpage and mobile application, as well as a face-to-face training workshop with enhanced lectures and role play, which is based on the Theory of Planned Behavior and Kolb's Experiential Learning Model. Questionnaires were distributed to assess nurses' knowledge (a 10-item true/false questionnaire) and level of confidence (five-point Likert scale) in ACP at baseline (T0), four weeks after the baseline assessment (T1), and 12 weeks after T1 (T2). In this interim report, data analysis was mainly descriptive in nature. Result: The interim report focuses on the preliminary results of 165 nurses at T0 (Control: 74, Intervention: 91) over a 5-month period, 69 nurses from the control group who completed the 4-week follow-up and 65 nurses from the intervention group who completed the 4-week MEACP training program at T1. The preliminary attrition rate is 6.8% and 28.6% for the control and intervention groups, respectively, as some nurses did not complete the whole set of online modules. At baseline, the two groups were generally homogeneous in terms of their years of nursing practice, weekly working hours, working title, and level of education, as well as ACP knowledge and confidence levels. The proportion of nurses who answered all ten knowledge questions correctly increased from 13.8% (T0) to 66.2% (T1) for the intervention group and from 13% (T0) to 20.3% (T1) for the control group. The nurses in the intervention group answered an average of 7.57 and 9.43 questions correctly at T0 and T1, respectively. They showed a greater improvement in the knowledge assessment at T1 with respect to T0 when compared with their counterparts in the control group (mean difference of change score, Δ=1.22). They also exhibited a greater gain in level of confidence at T1 compared to their colleagues in the control group (Δ=0.91). T2 data is yet available. Conclusion: The prevalence of nurses engaging in ACP and their level of knowledge about ACP in Hong Kong is low. The MEACP training program can enrich nurses by providing them with more knowledge about ACP and increasing their confidence in conducting ACP. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=advance%20directive" title="advance directive">advance directive</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=advance%20care%20planning" title=" advance care planning"> advance care planning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=confidence" title=" confidence"> confidence</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=knowledge" title=" knowledge"> knowledge</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=multi-media%20experiential" title=" multi-media experiential"> multi-media experiential</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=randomised%20control%20trial" title=" randomised control trial"> randomised control trial</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/174549/the-effectiveness-of-multi-media-experiential-training-programme-on-advance-care-planning-in-enhancing-acute-care-nurses-knowledge-and-confidence-in-advance-care-planning-discussion-an-interim-report" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/174549.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">76</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">83</span> Designing a Waitlist Intervention for Adult Patients Awaiting Outpatient Treatment for Eating Disorders: Preliminary Findings from a Pilot Test</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Deanne%20McArthur">Deanne McArthur</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Melinda%20Wall"> Melinda Wall</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Claire%20Hanlon"> Claire Hanlon</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dana%20Agnolin"> Dana Agnolin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Krista%20Davis"> Krista Davis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Melanie%20Dennis"> Melanie Dennis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Elizabeth%20Glidden"> Elizabeth Glidden</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Anne%20Marie%20Smith"> Anne Marie Smith</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Claudette%20Thomson"> Claudette Thomson</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In Canada, as prevalence rates and severity of illness have increased among patients suffering from eating disorders, wait times have grown substantially. The significance of this study will be to test the feasibility, acceptability and efficacy of an intervention to support adult patients awaiting outpatient eating disorder treatment for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder. Methods: An intervention including psychoeducation, supportive resources, self-monitoring, and auxiliary referral will be pilot-tested with a group of patients in the summer of 2022 and detailed using a prospective cohort case study research design. The team will host patient focus groups in May 2022 to gather input informing the content of the intervention. The intervention will be pilot tested with newly-referred patients in June and July 2022. Patients who participate in the intervention will be asked to complete a survey evaluating the utility of the intervention and for suggestions, they may have for improvement. Preliminary findings describing the existing literature pertaining to waitlist interventions for patients with eating disorders, data gathered from the focus groups and early pilot testing results will be presented. Data analysis will continue throughout 2022 and early 2023 for follow-up publication and presentation in the summer of 2023. The aim of this study is to contribute to the body of knowledge pertaining to providing interim support to those patients waiting for treatment for eating disorders and, by extension, to improve outcomes for this population. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=eating%20disorders" title="eating disorders">eating disorders</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=waitlist%20management" title=" waitlist management"> waitlist management</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=intervention%20study" title=" intervention study"> intervention study</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=pilot%20test" title=" pilot test"> pilot test</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/149606/designing-a-waitlist-intervention-for-adult-patients-awaiting-outpatient-treatment-for-eating-disorders-preliminary-findings-from-a-pilot-test" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/149606.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">100</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">82</span> A 10 Year Review of the Complications of Ingested and Aspirated Dentures</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rory%20Brown">Rory Brown</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jessica%20Daniels"> Jessica Daniels</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Babatunde%20Oremule"> Babatunde Oremule</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=William%20Tsang"> William Tsang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sadie%20Khwaja"> Sadie Khwaja</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Introduction: Dentures are common and are an intervention for both physical and psychological symptoms associated with tooth loss. However, the humble denture can cause morbidity and mortality if swallowed or aspirated. Numerous case reports document complications including hollow viscus perforation, fistula formation and airway compromise. The purpose of this review was to examine the literature documenting cases of swallowed or aspirated dentures over the past ten years to investigate factors that contribute to developing complications. Methods: A Medline literature search was performed to identify cases of denture ingestion or aspiration for over ten years. Data was collected to include patient, appliance and temporal factors that may contribute to developing complications including hollow viscus perforation, fistula formation, abscess, bowel obstruction, necrosis, hemorrhage and airway obstruction. The data was analyzed using observational and inferential statistics in the form of Chi-Squared and Pearson correlation tests. Results: Eighty-five cases of ingested or aspirated dentures were identified from 77 articles published between 1/10/2009 and 31/10/2019. Fourteen articles were excluded because they did not provide sufficient information on individual cases. Complications were documented in 37.6% of patients, and 2 cases resulted in death. There was no significant difference in complication risk based on patient age, hooked appliance, level of impaction, or radiolucency. However, symptoms of greater than 1-day duration are associated with an increased risk of complication (p=0.005). Increased time from ingestion or aspiration to removal is associated with an increased risk of complications, and the p-value remains significant up to and including day 4 (p=0.017). Conclusions: With denture use predicted to rise complications from the denture, ingestion and aspiration may become more frequent. We have demonstrated that increased symptom duration significantly increases the risk of developing complications. Additionally, we established the risk of developing complications is significantly reduced if the denture is removed with four days of aspiration or ingestion. By actively intervening early when presented with a case of swallowed or aspirated dentures, we may be able to reduce the morbidity associated with this unassuming device. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aspiration" title="aspiration">aspiration</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=denture" title=" denture"> denture</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ingestion" title=" ingestion"> ingestion</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=endoscopic%20foreign" title=" endoscopic foreign"> endoscopic foreign</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=body%20removal" title=" body removal"> body removal</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=foreign%20body%20impaction" title=" foreign body impaction"> foreign body impaction</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/116216/a-10-year-review-of-the-complications-of-ingested-and-aspirated-dentures" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/116216.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">138</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">81</span> New Formula for Revenue Recognition Likely to Change the Prescription for Pharma Industry</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shruti%20Hajirnis">Shruti Hajirnis</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In May 2014, FASB issued Accounting Standards Update (ASU) 2014-09, Revenue from Contracts with Customers (Topic 606), and the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) issued International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 15, Revenue from Contracts with Customers that will supersede virtually all revenue recognition requirements in IFRS and US GAAP. Non-stimulated saliva was collected from 18 patients attending The Orthodontic Clinic of Dental Faculty of Benghazi University. Patients were divided into two groups and level of nickel was determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Nickel concentration values (mg/L) in first group prior to starting treatment was 0.097± 0.071. An increase in level of nickel was followed by decrease 4 and 8 weeks after applying the arch wire (0.208± 0.112) and (0.077±0.056 mg/L) respectively. Nickel levels in saliva of the second group were showed minimal variation and ranged from 0.061± 0.044mg/L to 0.083±0.054 throughout period of study. It may be concluded that there could be a release of nickel from the appliance used in first group but it doesn't reach toxic level in saliva. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=atomic%20absorption%20spectrophotometry" title="atomic absorption spectrophotometry">atomic absorption spectrophotometry</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nickel" title=" nickel"> nickel</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=orthodontic%20treatment" title=" orthodontic treatment"> orthodontic treatment</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=saliva" title=" saliva"> saliva</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=toxicity" title=" toxicity"> toxicity</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/4393/evaluation-of-salivary-nickel-level-during-orthodontic-treatment" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/4393.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">349</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">79</span> Speed Ratio Control of Pulley Based V-Belt Type Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) using Fuzzy Logic Controller</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ikbal%20Eski">Ikbal Eski</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Turan%20G%C3%BCrgen%C3%A7"> Turan Gürgenç</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> After nearly more than a century of research and development, internal combustion engines have become almost perfect. Along with such improvement in internal combustion engines, automotive manufacturers are conducting research on design of alternative fuel vehicles. Nevertheless an ideal interim solution is to increase overall efficiency of internal combustion vehicles. A potential solution to achieve that is using continuously variable transmission system which, despite being an old idea, has recently become a hope for automotive manufacturers. CVT system, by continuously varying speed ratio, raises vehicle efficiency. In this study, fuzzy logic controller is used in speed ratio control of pulley based CVT system. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=continuously%20variable%20transmission%20system" title="continuously variable transmission system">continuously variable transmission system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=variator" title=" variator"> variator</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=speed%20ratio" title=" speed ratio"> speed ratio</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fuzzy%20logic" title=" fuzzy logic"> fuzzy logic</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/12134/speed-ratio-control-of-pulley-based-v-belt-type-continuously-variable-transmission-cvt-using-fuzzy-logic-controller" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/12134.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">285</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">78</span> Looking for a Connection between Oceanic Regions with Trends in Evaporation with Continental Ones with Trends in Precipitation through a Lagrangian Approach</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Raquel%20Nieto">Raquel Nieto</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Marta%20V%C3%A1zquez"> Marta Vázquez</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Anita%20Drumond"> Anita Drumond</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Luis%20Gimeno"> Luis Gimeno</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> One of the hot spots of climate change is the increment of ocean evaporation. The best estimation of evaporation, OAFlux data, shows strong increasing trends in evaporation from the oceans since 1978, with peaks during the hemispheric winter and strongest along the paths of the global western boundary currents and any inner Seas. The transport of moisture from oceanic sources to the continents is the connection between evaporation from the ocean and precipitation over the continents. A key question is to try to relate evaporative source regions over the oceans where trends have occurred in the last decades with their sinks over the continents to check if there have been also any trends in the precipitation amount or its characteristics. A Lagrangian approach based on FLEXPART and ERA-interim data is used to establish this connection. The analyzed period was 1980 to 2012. Results show that there is not a general pattern, but a significant agreement was found in important areas of climate interest. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=ocean%20evaporation" title="ocean evaporation">ocean evaporation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lagrangian%20approaches" title=" Lagrangian approaches"> Lagrangian approaches</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=contiental%20precipitation" title=" contiental precipitation"> contiental precipitation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Europe" title=" Europe"> Europe</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/38234/looking-for-a-connection-between-oceanic-regions-with-trends-in-evaporation-with-continental-ones-with-trends-in-precipitation-through-a-lagrangian-approach" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/38234.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">256</span> </span> </div> </div> <ul class="pagination"> <li class="page-item disabled"><span class="page-link">&lsaquo;</span></li> <li class="page-item active"><span class="page-link">1</span></li> <li class="page-item"><a class="page-link" href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=interim%20appliance&amp;page=2">2</a></li> <li class="page-item"><a class="page-link" href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=interim%20appliance&amp;page=3">3</a></li> <li class="page-item"><a class="page-link" href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=interim%20appliance&amp;page=4">4</a></li> <li class="page-item"><a class="page-link" href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=interim%20appliance&amp;page=2" rel="next">&rsaquo;</a></li> </ul> </div> </main> <footer> <div id="infolinks" class="pt-3 pb-2"> <div class="container"> <div style="background-color:#f5f5f5;" class="p-3"> <div class="row"> <div class="col-md-2"> <ul class="list-unstyled"> About <li><a href="https://waset.org/page/support">About Us</a></li> <li><a href="https://waset.org/page/support#legal-information">Legal</a></li> <li><a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://publications.waset.org/static/files/WASET-16th-foundational-anniversary.pdf">WASET celebrates its 16th foundational anniversary</a></li> </ul> </div> <div class="col-md-2"> <ul class="list-unstyled"> Account <li><a href="https://waset.org/profile">My Account</a></li> </ul> </div> <div class="col-md-2"> <ul class="list-unstyled"> Explore <li><a href="https://waset.org/disciplines">Disciplines</a></li> <li><a href="https://waset.org/conferences">Conferences</a></li> <li><a href="https://waset.org/conference-programs">Conference Program</a></li> <li><a href="https://waset.org/committees">Committees</a></li> <li><a href="https://publications.waset.org">Publications</a></li> </ul> </div> <div class="col-md-2"> <ul class="list-unstyled"> Research <li><a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts">Abstracts</a></li> <li><a href="https://publications.waset.org">Periodicals</a></li> <li><a href="https://publications.waset.org/archive">Archive</a></li> </ul> </div> <div class="col-md-2"> <ul class="list-unstyled"> Open Science <li><a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://publications.waset.org/static/files/Open-Science-Philosophy.pdf">Open Science Philosophy</a></li> <li><a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://publications.waset.org/static/files/Open-Science-Award.pdf">Open Science Award</a></li> <li><a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://publications.waset.org/static/files/Open-Society-Open-Science-and-Open-Innovation.pdf">Open Innovation</a></li> <li><a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://publications.waset.org/static/files/Postdoctoral-Fellowship-Award.pdf">Postdoctoral Fellowship Award</a></li> <li><a target="_blank" rel="nofollow" href="https://publications.waset.org/static/files/Scholarly-Research-Review.pdf">Scholarly Research Review</a></li> </ul> </div> <div class="col-md-2"> <ul class="list-unstyled"> Support <li><a href="https://waset.org/page/support">Support</a></li> <li><a href="https://waset.org/profile/messages/create">Contact Us</a></li> <li><a href="https://waset.org/profile/messages/create">Report Abuse</a></li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div class="container text-center"> <hr style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:.3rem;"> <a href="https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/" target="_blank" class="text-muted small">Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License</a> <div id="copy" class="mt-2">&copy;
