Today it has 3100 member companies in 18 cities across Taiwan with business scopes including software, hardware, semiconductor & electronic component design & manufacturing, domestic & international sales, system integration, internet service providers, and more. TCA’s members boast a collective capital of NTD 1.88 trillion (approximately USD 57.45 billion as of the time of writing) and over 740,000 employees in Taiwan; accounting for more than 85% of Taiwan’s ICT industrial output value. Currently, TCA has offices in Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung; as well as overseas offices in Tokyo, Japan; Beijing, China; Bangalore, India; and Selangor, Malaysia to provide a variety of services including exhibition, project, and information services. <br><br> TCA was founded in the early stages of Taiwan’s ICT industry and has experienced many challenges together with its members every step of the way. From the era of large and medium-sized mainframes to microcomputers; PC LAN to internet; from smart handheld devices to the e-commerce era; and from Artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) to deep learning and Generative AI (GenAI). </p> <div class="collapse" id="about-tca"> <p style="padding:0; margin:0;"> <br> Over half a century, TCA has adhered to the concepts of “Unity and Common Prosperity”. Under the leadership of its successive chairmen and boards of directors, TCA has held various leading tech events and startup competitions in Taiwan, provided valuable input for government policies and undertook special project commissions, promoted digital and smart applications in Taiwanese society and various industries, supported talents and startups, and examined the trends in cybersecurity and internet governance. Indeed, TCA today has become an influential voice in Taiwan’s ICT ecosystem. <br><br> While promoting the sustainable development of Taiwan’s ICT industry, TCA also focuses on the construction of Smart Taiwan, Taiwan’s international image, and the development of urban technology and technology diplomacy. TCA collaborates with its members and the government to support all levels of society year-round, observe cyber security and ethics, and narrow the digital divide between urban and rural populations to help Taiwan become a respectable, technologically & culturally sustainable society. <br><br> With over 50 years of experience with the support and expectations from every walk of life, TCA has achieved considerable success and looks forward to the future. TCA strives to maintain diligence, anticipate industry trends, pay attention to the members’ inputs, and continue to improve to achieve internationalization and specialization.
