Computational social simulation is a key technology to design recent social services like SAVS as new transportation service. One open issue in SAVS was to determine the service scale through the social simulation. Using our exhaustive simulation framework, OACIS, we did data-assimilation and evaluation of effects of SAVS based on actual tax-use data at Tajimi city, Japan. Finally, we get the conditions to realize the new service in a reasonable service quality. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=on-demand%20bus%20sytem" title="on-demand bus sytem">on-demand bus sytem</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=social%20simulation" title=" social simulation"> social simulation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=data%20assimilation" title=" data assimilation"> data assimilation</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=exhaustive%20simulation" title=" exhaustive simulation"> exhaustive simulation</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/67906/evaluation-of-practicality-of-on-demand-bus-using-actual-taxi-use-data-through-exhaustive-simulations" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/67906.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">321</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">3</span> Development of a Method to Prepare In-School Tactile Guide Maps for Visually Impaired School Children</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=K.%20Doi">K. Such maps can enable visually impaired children to attend schools of special needs education (visual impairments) to grasp the arrangement of classrooms on their school campuses. However, it takes many years to be able to use a tactile guide map without difficulty. Thus, information support, in which audio information is added in addition to tactile information, is required. In the present research, a method to prepare an in-school tactile guide map with an additional audio reading function was developed. This map can enable visually impaired school children attending schools of special needs education (visual impairments) to grasp the arrangement of classrooms on their school campuses. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=accessible%20design" title="accessible design">accessible design</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=visually%20impaired" title=" visually impaired"> visually impaired</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=braille" title=" braille"> braille</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=tactile%20map" title=" tactile map"> tactile map</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=in-school%20tactile%20guide%20map" title=" in-school tactile guide map"> in-school tactile guide map</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/13036/development-of-a-method-to-prepare-in-school-tactile-guide-maps-for-visually-impaired-school-children" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/13036.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">361</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">2</span> Net Work Meta Analysis to Identify the Most Effective Dressings to Treat Pressure Injury</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Lukman%20Thalib">Lukman Thalib</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Luis%20Furuya-Kanamori"> Luis Furuya-Kanamori</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Rachel%20Walker"> Rachel Walker</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Brigid%20Gillespie"> Brigid Gillespie</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Suhail%20Doi"> Suhail Doi</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Background and objectives: There are many topical treatments available for Pressure Injury (PI) treatment, yet there is a lack of evidence with regards to the most effective treatment. The objective of this study was to compare the effect of various topical treatments and identify the best treatment choice(s) for PI healing. Methods: Network meta-analysis of published randomized controlled trials that compared the two or more of the following dressing groups: basic, foam, active, hydroactive, and other wound dressings. The outcome complete healing following treatment and the generalised pair-wise modelling framework was used to generate mixed treatment effects against hydroactive wound dressing, currently the standard of treatment for PIs. All treatments were then ranked by their point estimates. Main Results: 40 studies (1,757 participants) comparing 5 dressing groups were included in the analysis. All dressings groups ranked better than basic (i.e. saline gauze or similar inert dressing). The foam (RR 1.18; 95%CI 0.95-1.48) and active wound dressing (RR 1.16; 95%CI 0.92-1.47) ranked better than hydroactive wound dressing in terms of healing of PIs when the latter was used as the reference group. Conclusion & Recommendations: There was considerable uncertainty around the estimates, yet, the use of hydroactive wound dressings appear to perform better than basic dressings. Foam and active wound dressing groups show promise and need further investigation. High-quality research on clinical effectiveness of the topical treatments are warranted to identify if foam and active wound dressings do provide advantages over hydroactive dressings. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Net%20work%20Meta%20Analysis" title="Net work Meta Analysis">Net work Meta Analysis</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Pressure%20Injury" title=" Pressure Injury"> Pressure Injury</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Dresssing" title=" Dresssing"> Dresssing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Pressure%20Ulcer" title=" Pressure Ulcer "> Pressure Ulcer </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/120676/net-work-meta-analysis-to-identify-the-most-effective-dressings-to-treat-pressure-injury" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/120676.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">114</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">1</span> Health Outcomes from Multidrug-Resistant Salmonella in High-Income Countries: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Andrea%20Parisi">Andrea Parisi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Samantha%20Vilkins"> Samantha Vilkins</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Luis%20Furuya-Kanamori"> Luis Furuya-Kanamori</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=John%20A.%20Crump"> John A. Nontyphoidal Salmonella (NTS) infections that are Multi-Drug Resistant (MDR) (non-susceptible to ≥1 agent in ≥3 antimicrobial categories) may result in more severe outcomes, although these effects have not been systematically examined. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to examine impacts of MDR NTS on health in high-income settings. Methods: We systematically reviewed the literature from scientific databases, including PubMed, Scopus and grey literature sources, using PRISMA guidelines. We searched for data from case-control studies, cohorts, outbreaks, reports and theses, imposing no language restriction. We included only publications from January 1990 to September 2016 from high income countries as classified by World Bank. We extracted data from papers on duration of illness, hospitalisation rates, morbidity and mortality for MDR and non-MDR NTS strains. Results: After removing duplicates, the initial search revealed 4258 articles. After further screening, we identified 16 eligible studies for the systematic review, and 9 of these were included in meta-analysis. NTS serotypes differed among the reported studies but serotype Typhimurium, Enteritidis, Newport and Heidelberg were among the most often reported as MDR pathogens. Salmonella infections that were MDR were associated with excess bloodstream infections (OR 1.63; 95%CI 1.18-2.26), excess hospitalisations (OR 2.77; 95%CI 1.47-5.21) and higher mortality (OR 3.54; 95%CI 1.10-11.40). Conclusions: MDR NTS infections are a serious public health concern. With the emergence of MDR Salmonella strains in the high-income countries, it is crucial to restrict the use of antimicrobials both in animals and humans, and intervene to prevent foodborne infections. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Antimicrobial%20Resistance" title="Antimicrobial Resistance">Antimicrobial
