However, the next censuses following were delayed until <a href="/wiki/1998_Census_of_Pakistan" class="mw-redirect" title="1998 Census of Pakistan">1998</a> and <a href="/wiki/2017_Census_of_Pakistan" class="mw-redirect" title="2017 Census of Pakistan">2017</a> due to politicization and instability.
