Original publications by scientists and researchers from Brazil and abroad on the various areas of zoological sciences are accepted, such as: systematics, evolution, taxonomy, nomenclature, biogeography, morphology, physiology, biology, ecology, symbiosis, conservation, behavior, genetics, and allied areas. Extensive reviews or articles on current topics in zoology will be published by invitation in the Invited Review section.</p> <p>Since its foundation in 1982, a total of 25 volumes were published under the name Revista Brasileira de Zoologia (ISSN 0101-8175 and 1806-969X).
