February 2020</h1> </div> </div> </div> <p> <a href="/Regional_Fora/Regional_Fora/African_Reg_Forum/Publications">Back to Antitrust Committee publications</a></p> <p>  </p> <p> Dear Antitrust Section members,</p> <p> As the new Co-Chairs of the IBA Antitrust Section, we would first like to thank our predecessors, Liz Morony and Marc Reysen, for their leadership over the past two years.</p> <p> We are pleased to present the latest IBA Antitrust Section's e-Bulletin, which brings you an update on developments around the world, brought to you by members of our Section. A big thank you to the contributors for sharing their insights with our members!</p> <p> It has not just been the article writers who have contributed to the work of our Section. Externally, the IBA Antitrust Section has continued to engage actively in competition issues globally, in particular via the work of our four working groups (Unilateral Conduct and Behavioural Issues, Cartels, Antitrust Litigation and Mergers). These groups have been proactive in consultations on antitrust legislation initiatives internationally. Our thanks to the members for their hard work and contributions – they spearhead the IBA’s efforts to be the global voice of the legal profession in the area of competition law.</p> <p> Our working groups have been involved in some interesting submissions, such as:</p> <p style="margin-left: 40px;"> • China: submission to the State Administration for market regulation on amendments to the Anti-Monopoly Law;</p> <p style="margin-left: 40px;"> • European Union: submission in response to the European Commission’s draft Communication on the protection of confidential information for the private enforcement of EU competition law by national courts;</p> <p style="margin-left: 40px;"> • India: market study on e-Commerce in India;</p> <p style="margin-left: 40px;"> • Japan: comments on Japan Fair Trade Commission guidelines concerning abuse of a superior bargaining position in transactions between digital platform operators and consumers that provide personal information;</p> <p style="margin-left: 40px;"> • Peru: consultation on Guidelines to Antitrust Rewards Program; and</p> <p style="margin-left: 40px;"> • Singapore: draft guidelines on price transparency.</p> <p> We would like to remind you of the numerous opportunities to engage with the Antitrust Section by joining a working group, contributing to our ongoing <a href="/LPD/Antitrust-Section/Antitrust/Publications">collection of articles</a> or attending a conference.
